what I mean by that is this movie is not doing anything to reinvent the wheel but it's also harmless and doesn't do anything to ruin the characters or the legacy of the original which I think is a major victory because Beetlejuice Beetlejuice does not fall for a lot of the pitfalls that a lot of these Nostalgia trip movies do namely the desperately trying to shoehorn iconic lines from the original into this movie where they do not belong and it usually ends up sounding like something that is very forced and cringe alien Romulus
