following Tuesday night's presidential debate between Kam Harris and Donald Trump Taylor Swift made an official endorsement of the Harris walls campaign so now a lot of people apparently waiting for this to happen for me I I'm not like huge first of all I don't really listen to Taylor Swift don't really have a problem with people who do or I don't have a problem with people who don't I'm not a huge celebrity endorsement guy but apparently a lot of people were waiting for this uh and this has generated a huge amount of excitement which is never a Bad Thing uh especially when you're running on a c a political campaign so on Instagram Swiff posted this like many of you I watched the debate tonight if you haven't already now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates taken the topics that matter to you the most as a voter I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country recently I was made aware that AI of me falsely endorsing Donald Trump's presidential run supposed to this site it really conjured up my fears around Ai and the dangers of spreading misinformation it brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter the simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth I will be casting my vote for KLA Harris and Tim Walls in the 2024 presidential election I'm voting for Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe I need a warrior uh to Champion them I think she is a steady-handed gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much in this country for you're led by calm and not chaos I was so heartened and impressed by your selection of running me Tim Walls who has been standing up for lgbq plus rights IVF and a woman's right to her own body for decades I've done my research and I've made my choice your research is all yours to do and the choices yours to make I also want to say especially to first-time voters remember that in order to vote you have to be registered I also find that it's much easier to vote early a link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story would love and hope take Taylor Swift childless cat lady I I love how she signs it childless cat lady that's great uh JD Vance probably regretting that whole thing uh now this ended up getting about a million likes in 13 minutes Jesus like all right I I ain't in it for the likes but let me tell you what Finn if anything of mine that I post ever gets a million likes in 13 minutes I I I'll probably scream like a little girl with joy okay just saying I'm G be honest with you uh now that said someone who um is screaming but not with joy Donald Trump I actually like Mrs momes much better if you want to know the truth she's a she's a big Trump fan I was not a Taylor Swift fan it was just a question of time she couldn't uh you couldn't possibly endorse Biden you look at Biden You couldn't possibly endorse him but she's a very liberal person she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she'll Pro probably pay a price she'll probably pay a price in the marketplace or something yes because swifties are notorious for being America first pro Maga oh okay that's really funny um oh yeah I like I like Britney Mahomes better okay well I'm pretty sure that if you had have endorsed uh had been endorsed by Taylor Swift uh you'd be like Taylor Swift oh she's amazing what a very very beautiful and uh welcome to America first I mean he he actually thought that the AI Taylor Swift was actually endorsing him uh which again not true so now that said um that's Trump but probably the most ridiculous is an unhinged response to this actually came from Elon Musk yeah that's right good old good old elno right uh he posted this fine Taylor you win I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life tell me you're an incel without actually saying that you're an incel this is both weird and rapy okay she talked about how like oh I I'm voting for Harris and and and walls because they're standing up for my rights uh and this guy's like I will I will gladly rape you and protect your cats like what no what oh my God so Elon better hope that Travis Kelce doesn't see that um because that guy would probably rip Elon muskin half okay which is why now he's like oh no no I was just joking I just kidding oh you were right okay uh but you know who actually has seen it um this would be Ela musk's EST strange daughter Vivian said this the timing for the Taylor Swift endorsement of kirs honestly could not have been better can't wait to see the swifties at the polls but blue also yes I saw the Tweet heinous incel nonsense is in fact heinous incel nonsense I don't really have anything to add to it it's just a for it that much is obvious and if you don't see how then you're part of the problem I would just like to say my audience to my audience members don't let people talk to you like that it's disgusting it's belittling and Incredibly sexist you deserve better she is like the most normal person around that was ever around Elon Musk how did she how did she end up that normal it's a miracle that's what it is so now here here's the thing though why do these endorsements matter I mean I already said that I'm not a huge like celebrity endorsement you know person who cares about that like okay great like uh you know you got Mark Hill like okay Luke Skywalker great um whatever well but for me this isn't this isn't aimed at me okay not every shocked to find out that not everything in this world revolves around the middle-aged white CIS male demographic oh no I know crazy right oh no but no it's it is for people that are younger okay so tlor Smith has millions of fans young people many of whom are now old enough to vote they make a difference uh in fact uh according to a study by Harvard University Johan F Kennedy School of government published back in August they found that voter participation increased after certain celebrities weighed in on political races so I mean you know it it can make the difference uh now a celebrity endorsement this is according to Richard T langoria an associate professor of US government and politics the University of Texas Rio Gran valali said a celebrity endorsement won't impact voters who already have strong partisan allegiances and most voters are in this category okay so yeah I mean yeah this isn't going to sway the average mag guy okay but that's not who it's directed at in fact he said that people that are disengaged from the political process or discovering political issues for the first time can be influenced and that's why this could matter uh in fact Loria adds in a close election that could mean the difference between winning and losing and right now this election's close it's closer than it should be but it's close and so yeah Harris is going to need a lot of young voters who are driven by issues like bodly autonomy uh for women to go and make up the difference uh firsttime voters young voters that's really who's going to carry this election and who carried the 2020 election by the way they're the ones that delivered a win for Biden and so this could be the moment that kamla Harris beat Trump thank you for watching if you enjoyed this video please like share
