Apple Trade in Process in Store

hello guys how you doing this is your friend Alex so yesterday I told you that I was going to go to the Apple Store to trade in some devices in order to get this this is the iPhone 15 Pro and I did it I got it so let me explain what happened right so if you want to buy a new iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max or whatever iPhone you want to buy and you have an old iPhone you can trade in let me show you the prices though these are the trading values okay but please pay attention to these words estimated and up to so it's basically up to guys this is the maximum amount you can get for your iPhone but it's not guarantee the same thing with any price here is up to if the phone is in good condition you will get this money now do they check the phone yes the first thing they do is they check the IMEI number so if you have a blacklisted iPhone you are not going to be able to trade it in I tried and it didn't work they just said this device is not eligible for trading the second thing is the phone needs to be in good condition the trading process is going to take a little bit guys what they do is they take pictures of the phone that you're going to trade in and they use a software to analyze it and based on that they're going to give you what you can get for that specific phone so you know that I got a lot of phones to trade in right some of them they were in good condition some of them were locked to their carrier and some of them they have like physical issues right they have scratches these are the iPhones that I brought to the Apple Store I brought five iPhones actually the first thing you need to do is you need to select the one that they're going to give you the most money in my case was the iPhone 12 for the iPhone 12 they gave me 250 is exactly what they advertise on the Apple trading website I need to pick the most expensive one in order to do the tradeing and then the other ones I'm going to get a gift card and they have different designs they're pretty cool right the only problem is that when you trade in an iPhone for a gift card sometimes they don't give you the full amount that they advertise here right for example I got a an iPhone XR they advertise 140 they only give me1 25 because I was going to do it with a gift card so I mean that doesn't make that much sense but basically is you can only do the trading for a full amount for one phone that's why you need to pick the most expensive one with the iPhone SC third gen they gave me the exact same amount and even though they have a huge scratch on the front even the guy told me when he took the pictures that they might consider that as a crack but I was lucky they didn't so they gave me the full amount for the XR instead of giving me 140 they gave me 125 for the SE second gen instead of 80 they gave me 70 and for the iPhone 8 instead of 60 they gave me 55 so I was planning to get 440 for those four phones and I only got 410 so that's like $30 that I lost because I was doing the gift cards and not the trading to buy the phone and then I have another gift card for 150 and another one for five that I got previously and this one was for this app called Fetch and this one I got when I bought this laptop so 410 is the one that they gave me plus 150 + 5 you you get 565 the iPhone 15 Pro is $9.99 minus 250 which was my tradeing that went with the buy the total was $749 plus tax and this is actually cool because they only tax you on the $749 they don't tax you on the $9.99 so I save 17.5 on taxes so after trading the iPhone 12 I got 80143 C minus this what is this this is the amount that I got from all the gift cards I only pay 2364 3 cents that's what I pay for my iPhone 15 Pro the 128 GB if you have multiple phones that you want to trade in before going to the store call them because that's what I did I called them I told them the situation and they say you can trade in up to eight devices you know the trading used to be easier guys you just bring your phone they check it out and they give you the value you know but now they have a software they use they take pictures back and front of the phone and based on the pictures there's a software that give you the amount that you're going to get everything is automatic but you need to put all your information guys so they're going to ask you for name and ID I put my driver license they're going to ask you for address email so it takes longer guys you need to do that for each phone so imagine I did that five times because I got five phones you know so it took a while guys depending on the store that you are the managers sometimes they don't like that because it takes a lot of time from the other customers so keep that in mind call the store before going there make sure that everything's going to be smoothly and I'm happy that I was able to do it the conclusion of of this video is that I got my iPhone 15 Pro I traded five devices the maximum is eight but you can only trade one with the iPhone so
