NASCAR Announcer Change Official | Did SVG's Next Cup Race Leak?

we finally get confirmation that NASCAR's broadcast Booth will sound very different at Daytona this weekend and Beyond and although it's not yet confirmed we might have pieced together that Shane Van gisbergen has another start on the 2024 Cup series season welcome into the breaking balls channel it's Bob here and we've got a short week in the NASCAR garage the Monday Michigan race was pushed due to rain Tyler reic wins that one and as soon as that race wraps up the Cup Series teams are back to Charlotte and prepping for this weekend at Daytona we've got a Saturday night race under the lights at Daytona and what is pretty much considered about a lottery race one of the last shots for everyone to get into the playoffs here if you're new here go ahead and subscribe to the channel Adam and I will keep you in the loop for all things NASCAR leading up to the weekend slate Shane Van gisbergen is getting his first ever start in the cup series at Daytona he'll be running for colleague racing in that 16 Charter and we might have piece together that although it was scheduled to originally run seven races this year they did add Daytona to the schedule for SVG alongside his full Xfinity slate in 2024 we pieced together that he might be running a ninth Cup Series event in the 2024 season I just happened to be scrolling Instagram this afternoon and saw a post that was linked to track house racing and it really caught my eye it was Shane Van gisbergen with the colag 16 chartered entry and a brand new scheme sponsored by Acceptance Insurance and it was promoting Shane Van gisbergen running the car at the southern 500 at Darlington next weekend again Shane Van gisbergen running the 16 colleague entry sponsored by Acceptance Insurance if you have an eye like I do you think oh that looks a lot like Daniel Suarez's Freeway Insurance car well did a little digging and After figuring it out both those sponsors are sister companies Suarez's freeway insurance and this Acceptance Insurance scheme that SVG is running they're both coni subsidary company and it looks like those are the same sponsors that track house has with Daniel Suarez so interesting to see that track house is putting more sponsors towards Shane Van gisbergen and getting him a potential ninth entry in the cup series for 2024 he did run the xinity race in the spring at Darlington but no practice no qualifying at one of the toughest tracks in NASCAR you have to rip the top line and SVG was adamant that it was a learning curve getting onto that top Groove but ended up coming back and finishing p15 with no practice no qualifying at one of the toughest tracks that's pretty impressive there and it just shows that track house is trying to get SG seat time and not only just road courses because they know he's familiar with that but these ovals tougher ovals like Darlington the lady in black I mean it's only fitting that SVG gets his Darlington stripe at some point or another you might as well rip the Band-Aid off with this regular season finale next weekend but it looks like SVG will be in the cup series for back-to-back starts Daytona this weekend and darlington's regular season finale the southern 500 next weekend of course also running in Talladega in October as well nine total starts it looks like for SVG as it sounds like track house is pushing for him to be in that unannounced third Charter that they've unofficially purchased from Stewart hos racing but SVG more than likely will be in the cup series fulltime in 2025 we also finally did get some confirmation after a little bit murky leadup it was announced earli in the year that Lee DIY the longtime indie car and Olympic play-by-play commentator for NBC would take over as the lead broadcaster for the Nascar Cup Series in the fall it sounded like he would take over after the Olympic break for Rick Allen who has been with the NASCAR NBC team since 2015 since they took over broadcasting rights but then Lee DIY kind of got pushed back for a few weeks and it never really was confirmed we were waiting for the official announcement finally happens NBC confirms that Lee DIY will be in the Nascar Cup Series Booth starting Saturday night at Daytona he will be doing the Nascar Cup Series race while it sounds like Rick Allen will still call Xfinity fulltime this year they didn't say whether he will move to the Xfinity fulltime when they take over on the Xfinity channel for the playoffs so Rick Allen will be with the Xfinity program now and Lee Diffy the longtime broadcaster for indie car and the Olympics with NBC will be taking over in the Nascar Cup Series if you're not familiar with him listen to this clip larsson's trying to split him he's in between the two Toyotas he bounces off M Truex Jr right in front of Matt kenith and he's on the low line Kyle LaRon with a blinding restart yeah I can handle Lee DIY taking over for Rick Allen I'm I'm all down for it he's one of the best broadcasters in the world and will Elevate the viewership in NASCAR I believe genuinely again Daytona this weekend Saturday night xinity runs Friday night Shane Van gber and it sounds like he'll be running at Darlington next weekend with a brand new sponsor that is linked to track house if you're new here to the channel like this video subscribe to the channel it does help Adam and I out a ton we just
