[Applause] [Music] thanks for watching I'm James Lawrence let's take a look at the upcoming and of daylight saving time this year daylight saving time will officially end on Sunday November 3rd 2024 as always clocks will fall back by 1 hour marking the return to St Standard time while many of our devices will automatically adjust don't forget to update any manual clocks around your home the shift gives everyone an extra hour of sleep but for families with children and pets adjusting to the new schedule can still be a challenge this minor disruption has been known to cause some unrest though the extra hour is a welcome bonus for [Music] many why do we even observe Daylight Saving Time historically it's tied to energy conservation s dating back to Benjamin Franklin who proposed the idea in 1784 the United States Congress made Daylight Saving Time official through the uniform time act of 1966 standardizing the start in end dates across the country so remember to mark your calendars for November 3rd and prepare to set those clocks back thanks for watching A1 news TV we will be right back [Music]
