people sit what else can you think of did you know that in 1907 there was an earthquake called the great kingstone quake in which 1,000 people died and across Jamaica 9,000 people became homeless they did not only have to contend with the earthquake and aftershocks because a fire also broke out further catastrophizing the devastation so problem P problem P problem did you know earthquakes can cause supposed to create one like I have something in mind but you actually need to sit down with your family and work out a plan you can include how you're actually going to evacuate your house workplace Community or even City if an emergency happens what are some alternative routes if the normal route gets blocked know the safest routes to exit your home workplace or school practice them with your family or co-workers I know we do it at work but do you do it at home we definitely should now where are you and your family going to meet up if something happens and you can't get home and you don't have a means of communication choose a safe spot where your family can regroup after an earthquake make sure everyone knows the location and can get there quickly identify the safe zones in your house now stand up under the TV suppose it happen when you're in bed you wake up all disoriented better keep a bedside kit just in case put proper shoes in it no slippers please you need something that can protect your feet if there is glass and other debris on the ground flashlight yes cuz you might wake up to Darkness what else would you put in your bedside kit one of the sides I check said set up an out of area contact designate someone outside of your immediate area to be a contact point in case local communication lines are down this person can help coordinate and check in on everybody's safety
