alone in the dark director UA bulach Portlands movie Now You Wish I directed hello everyone welcome to my Channel today we're diving into some juicy drama in the world of video game movies UA B the infamous director known for his well less than Stellar adaptations just threw some major shade at the new Borderlands movie so what's the story well Borderlands directed by Eli Roth had a pretty rough start at the box office office making only $8.8 million in its opening weekend UA B who directed alone in the dark one of the most critically panned video game movies of all time couldn't resist taking a jab he posted on Twitter mocking the movie's poor performance saying haha my movies were rated R and made more money than this now you wish I directed of course the internet wasn't going to let that slide someone clapped back pointing out that at least four of Ball's movies made even less money than Borderlands on their own opening weekends B being bull responded by claiming his movies have been illegally downloaded 41 billion times though of course he didn't provide any proof now if you're not familiar with uul he's the guy who directed a bunch of video game movies in the 2000s that were pretty much universally hated his 2005 movie alone in the dark has a whopping 1% on Rotten Tomatoes and is often listed as one of the worst movies ever made but despite the criticism B kept churning out these films hes like House of the Dead and blood rain both of which were box office disasters at one point there was even an online petition asking him to stop making movies but some people defended him and B kept going until he announced his retirement in 2016 however he did come back to direct a movie in 2022 so he's not completely out of the game so what do you think let me know in the comments thanks for watching and don't forget to like comment And subscribe for more updates see you in the next video
