2024 AFC North Divisional Predictions - Full Divisional Breakdown & Standings

what's going on welcome to toally Blitz podcast we're back in the NFL it's getting closer and closer to the season so of course we're talking divisions we're talking um rankings of division over unders and this overall how we feel about each team coming into this new year as always I'm Paul pick and winam and I'm join with you already know man it's your boy Kev water voice AKA d p always known as the realest on your screen yes sir we're back in the NFL space AFC North is where we're starting it the most competitive division where most uh last year every team went above 500 even though some of these teams didn't even have quarter starting quarterback caliber guys towards the end of the year they we know there's gonna be a tough ass division every year great coaching hard knows football and honestly you never know who the [ __ ] goingon to win it I think every I think like the last like five six years has been a different team to win it every single season so it's going to be exciting I think this division is what people think the NFC East is like a lot of this division is a Battleground every year and the thing about it is they don't like each other and they beat each other all the [ __ ] time yeah and the coaches typically stay the same in this division at least it has for like the last five years well we're going to get into mostly the teams are looking kind of different because some of these some of these teams basically brand new coming in this year the one that I'm pinpointing is the Steelers because any year where you have a quarterback change let alone two quarterback changes it's a big deal they bringing in Russell Wilson and people are like okay they got the $50 million man bring him over but then the Shocker was then they go on and trade to get Justin fields from the Bears because everyone knew they're getting cayb Williams so now you got Fields And Russ as of right now Russ is the starter for the year it is a pole position so if Russ is playing bad don't be shocked in Justin Fields is the one finishing this um the year for them um and then they go out and they sign Patrick Queen linebacker from the Ravens honestly young talent that the Raven shouldn't let walk but the bigger questions with the Steelers is who the [ __ ] are you going to throw the ball to because they only got George pickings now they let Deontay Johnson walk and Allan Robinson walk so is [ __ ] har is feeding the damn ball play hardn defense Russell Wilson doesn't turn the ball over maybe the Steelers get better but what do you think of them um definitely I'm definitely high on na Harris because um yeah they're definitely goingon to need some help with thr that [ __ ] but am I high on the steeling no I think defensively I think they're always going to be a problem but am I high on the Steelers no n I'd be lying if I said that they do produce 10 win I mean the only thing that I I will say is a good point for any Steeler fan is that the last two years they had [ __ ] quarterback play and they still somehow produced 10- win Seasons Russell Wilson is a 50 million dollar man but at least he's an upgrade to whoever K he pick it last year who could have throw the ball more than five yards and who was the other guy Mason Rudolph yeah like I hate Russ more than than next guy but that's the only positive I I think he's a good safety safety breaker because all you have to do is um all you got to do is score 14 big doc nobody all score 14 points and your defense is probably G to keep you in the game most of the time do you think we see a Fields sometime this year or just on the bench I think they are plays set up for him I think they're packages set up for him do I think he should be on the field a lot no but um I think there's packages set up for him to eat and then onto their biggest rival the Ravens who won the division last year 13 and four they're biggest they two biggest thing they added Derek [ __ ] Henry a lot of people are apparently no one was making calls with Derrick Henry the Ravens made a call they get him over Lamar Jackson Derrick Henry that's the big news is coming out of the Ravens C is that I mean 13 and four last year there's a better team or more balance I don't know like they have Derek [ __ ] Henry now he is 30 something years old but it's Derek [ __ ] Henry oh bro I'm about to [ __ ] piss while my [ __ ] computer do this [ __ ] is pissing me off I'm trying to pull up all this ESPN um stats but with all the [ __ ] on it but it's not letting me log into my ESPN Plus on comp but the Ravens I'm crazy [ __ ] high on because the way they was able to keep that defense intact they do have a new defensive coordinator because um big dog took um the job over there in Seattle but um the Ravens adding Derrik Henry I don't know that's like a phenomenal game changing pick you gotta remember um he is in the Twilight of his career I don't even see people I don't see people picking Derrik Henry fantasy until the third or fourth round so I don't really know how much of an upside it is they did lose Gus Edwards they did lose JK dobins so it's not like they have that three-headed um three-headed monster they had last year I think the Ravens always going to be a run first team they're always going to be a well coached team they're always going to be a let's make it to the let's make a let's make it let's have a good regular season as long as there aren't any um a bunch of injuries ask team team so I'm high on them I'm expecting them to win the division but boy they got to deal with a healthy Bengals team so they better be locky fu yeah the Bangals a big question mark though the Ravens though Derk Henry is in Twilight but it's at Tennessee though they had they were stacking the box with like nine Defenders they were not expecting anyone to throw the ball and that it worked the Tennessee [ __ ] did terrible last year I don't think you can do that against the Ravens like AR is not someone you can stack the box like schematically wise so like that part of the offense I think is going to do well but the big question marks the offensive line they lost both of their tackles in left guard let them walk so there is going to be those growing pains on I want to say they won the division with you that me and you both took them last year they definitely won the division by a pretty solid margin but offensive line woses is something that could cause a team to start off like one and two or two and three and then of course they get better as the the season gets goes on but the [ __ ] AFC North not the division you can start off slow and try to get better as the season progresses still though they're they're the [ __ ] Ravens they're coached by hard ball Lamar Jackson we didn't even talk about MVP coming off MVP season he got his money this this could be the best season for the Ravens yet and on paper this is I'm not going to say they're the Cowboys but they're kind of like the Cowboys afcs like y'all keep making it to the postseason y'all got this Talent you got MV two-time MVP winner and what what do yall have to show for it in the playoffs it's like first round bounces and a lot of them so kind of gota that's their biggest like we're not worried about regular season Ravens the question mark comes in the postseason yeah that's real [ __ ] that's real [ __ ] I'm not even gonna liy on that one but damn Paul they they that's just my eyes on it right now then the other two teams we had a team that shocked us last year the Browns went on to go 11 and six we knew both had them to be last in the division last year they they were eight and one at home so the [ __ ] Cleveland Browns at home were dominating teams they DeShaun Watson is back they paid him all that money can he get better to me he seemed to be like the one piece that was holding him back Nick chubs injury he'll be back halfway through the season he's already squatting like 300 [ __ ] pounds he's a beast um but the Browns did go out and get Jerry Judy they paid him a good amount of money they expect him to be right next to Mari Cooper they honestly the Browns on paper this is the best year yet they didn't lose anybody other than Joe flalo which is arguably their best quarterback on the roster last year arguably I think it's a very good argument then but then other than that they go out there and they sign jamus they said [ __ ] it If DeShaun Watson goes down we're gonna have jamus in the locker room Jerry Judy they resigned their defense they bring in Jordan Hicks that linebacker a team that went 11 and six last year in my opinion that only looks a little better I don't know if they're gonna win 11 games again but deshaan Watson got no [ __ ] excuses yeah they kind of got a locked in no rap cap I think um the real [ __ ] that they could do is um they have the talent Nick Chu is back he looks healthy and I think they're probably one of the most slept on but better Coach teams than the league right now like Kevin stansky putting together the team that made the playoffs last year because they made the playoffs last year right yep 11 and six putting that team together and what do they have like four different quarterbacks and they came to the playoffs with Joe Flaco off the couch oh man and offensive tackle woes because like both offensive tackles got like torn Achilles or some [ __ ] and like went out like week three and four still somehow won games so like I got nothing but love for this team right now and I'm not gonna lie they might be my pick to take number two in this division hey they took two last year we had him at the bottom I was pretty solid about that too but didn't live up and then the team that shocked us we had this team at second other people had them as winning the division they were the favorite I believe to win division last year Bengals finishing the season 9 and eight last year no Joe burrow Joe Burrow's back I mean that's the big thing other than that they they did lose Joe Mixon they brought in Zach Moss to replace him at running back he isn't Joe Mixon but he can still do a lot of the things Joe Mixon did um the other big question mark is they lost their right tackle Jonah Williams All Pro right tackle they did go out there and get Trent Brown and drafted amarius mims in the first round to replace the the offensive lineman but neither one of them is [ __ ] Jonah Williams so it's like Joe burrow is back but it's just back to like year one and two Joe burrow where he was kind of having to run for his life because the offensive Line's looking shaky and then we're not having brought up the fact that Jamar Chase might not play this year unless he gets his money so Jamar Chase is another one of the wide receivers very active because Jamar Chase base salary this year is like $3 million Jamar Chase is worth way more than $3 million and he knows that if he gets hurt it only affects his future money so he is very big on he has two years on the contract so there is I don't know what's going to happen but that's another thing it's like Joe burrow is back this is T Higgins probably his last year here and Jamar Chase wants a back so there's also those story lines going on yeah that's is actually pretty crazy um yeah it's pretty crazy when you think about it like that's a lot going down because you got a lot of Ferraris and stallions on your offense you got a lot of muscle on your offense right now paid one dude to be there for a minute Jamar Chase is a no show and the season starts in like a week and a half TW like and put J T Higgins on the franchise tag like come on dog no Joe Mixon yeah you can't blame me for putting this team in number three Paul even though I do think Zach Taylor is a great coach and their defense with led by Trey Hendrickson is a problem still see that's the sa Grace is they did go out and buff up the defense they went out got Gino Stone and Sheldon rins solid Defender safety and defensive tackle so it's like they didn't put the money where you thought they were going to put it but they did beef up defense and it could you know like that that Bengals run people forget how good that defense was in that Bengals run towards Super Bowl like get the interception so [ __ ] the defensive line was shutting [ __ ] down it could be more s that I don't know I hav I don't know how to rank these teams because like [ __ ] didn't have quarterbacks last year and they still were pulling off 10 and 11 wins so these teams are all going to play hard in those football burrow is I don't know where he's rank I think he's the favorite to win comeback player of the year he got the blonde hair he's looking like Slim Shady it's he could be a hot boy Summer with the with the Bengals but I don't know hot Bo Su is crazy but we'll see man like looking at it though like the one team that I feel like I can feel the most confident in is the Ravens but then it's like other than that these these the other three teams Bengals Steelers and Browns they can either all have a really good season or like last year something random could happen and they have a [ __ ] season yeah the brown just need to stay healthy DeShaun Watson needs to play like [ __ ] I seen somebody said if DeShaun Watson played like three quarters of the player he was in um Houston the Bengals the um Browns would be undeniable Super Bowl Super Super Bowl B yeah and yeah honestly they I can't disagree with that team is there facts so G given all that all the information how are you feeling about your rankings this year last year we went we only got one right we had the Ravens in first and then we kind of missed on everything after that hopefully we hit a lot better yeah I think anything can happen but um I definitely um with this division it's a Battleground I just want I'm goingon to be locking on the Hard Knocks because they're going to be covering this division this SE the whole division this season yeah that's f overall we got to rank them one two three four do you want to go first or do you want me to start us off with the I got it I kind of gave it away all really going over the descriptions but um I got the Ravens at number one the Browns at number two the Bengals at number three and the Steelers at number four but I do like all these teams to go above 500 again maybe the Steelers might have a 500 season but um I do like the bo 500 or better I was say added that extra game 17 now unless you get a draw there ain't no reason no [ __ ] anybody should be getting 500 nowadays I like the Ste together a draw like I like the on to hit 500 on the dot second I should go throw a bed in on that so I'm gonna I'm kind of G to cosign with you here I'm gonna go Raven first Brown second and that's such an ugly second and in the third third I'm going to go with the Steelers and fourth I'm gonna go with Bengals I think this history is going to repeat itself we're going have the same ranking um partially some people might be shocked that the Bengals fourth again that they went nine and eight without Joe burrow but it takes more than just a quarterback to win the game and there there's a few other offensive line issues throughout this whole division but that's an offensive line that I feel like never solved their issues and they still are gonna have that issue coming into this season a lot of qu drama coming into training camp so that's why I have them at the fourth spot and then I just wanted to add something this year not only are we going to rank them I have the over under for each team here you kind of already given out your thoughts on the over under because um your picks for them all to go above 500 but we're gonna rattle it off from the top to the bottom Ravens over under 10 and a half wins I give him the over Browns over under seven and a half win oh over Steelers over under eight and a half wins over over I like even I 500 or and then Bengals over under nine and a half oh that's a tough yeah I like them to get 10 wins 10 wins so we got three overs uh so I'm GNA go 10 and a half give me to over they went 13 and four I think they can go over that again even if they don't get 11 wins I'm shocked um Browns seven over over seven and a half um I think their team got better and they had 11 wins last year Steelers over eight and a half I I like that again the same I think Russ is an improvement at quarterback they're gonna they won 10 games with very bad quarterback play I think they go over in a half Bengals over under nine and a half I'm gonna go under and the reason being I think they win nine games I think they go nine and eight um I think they still go above 500 but with just how stacked his division is I I don't think one game over 500's going to do you any good so I got them under nine and a half nice but that's our overall picks if y'all agree disagree we love to hear y'all's discourse
