when slipnot takes the stage this weekend at Rocklahoma somehow Sid Wilson will be up there on stage with the band after recently being rushed to the hospital due to a scary explosion that left him with significant burn injuries which as you all know those are very very painful to deal with especially when you're moving so it's crazy to think that Sid will somehow be able to get up on that stage but that's what he says he is fighting to do now it was a scary clip that he uploaded where he was being treated by medical professionals showing those gruesome injuries that he dealt with from that explosion of course his wife Kelly Osborne also took to social media and uh was very concerned about her husband as well now Sid says thankfully he's going to be fine it could have certainly been a lot worse but now he's giving fans a new update about his recovery and what that looks like and what exactly happened with the this terrifying incident that Sid underwent here's more when slipnot Sid Wilson went live to his more than 650,000 followers on Instagram they didn't expect to see him in the hospital he suffered significant burn injuries as the result of a bonfire accident here he is being treated by medical professionals as he tells his fans that he had dealt with some sort of an explosion hey everybody I uh had an explosion in my face I'm okay I'm going to be okay but I did have some serious Burns to my face and my arms uh you can see the phone shaking it's cuz I'm holding it and I am shaking doing some x-rays in my chest right now to make sure I didn't inhale any Flames yeah take a deep breath in hold breath and breathe good go ahead and sit forward for us out you want to lean back back rest back I'm singed everywhere eyebrows are singed my mouth is blistered the arm is pretty bad both my arms but Sid pledged to be back up on stage when slip knot performs a headline set at Rocklahoma I don't want to scare anybody that's why I get on IG live whenever I'm doing this kind of stuff I'd rather you guys hear it from me than Word of Mouth they usually get it wrong well I'll check back in later you guys take care of yourself and I will take better care of myself and uh painful going to wash my face okay uh nurse Kelly hello okay all right do you want to take your glasses off oh I don't know it's all right okay you can see where the burn went around like glasses tell me when you're ready mhm okay how's that feel it's okay that's good so far luckily they didn't shave my head look at all my [Music] hair is that okay it's okay it's just a little stingy I know it's not that bad uh slowly but surely my love does it hurt uh a little bit on like obviously like the worst areas yeah yeah yeah yeah hurt the most oh but it took all the skin off of where the che oh I didn't go there oh you didn't no Kelly's uh redressing my Burns she just taking charge me no you're not allowed to around this is what got us in this [ __ ] in the first place you're PR if it's on the weekend then I would just recomend um face is looking a lot better face does look a lot better [Music] today woo do you I brought on the elbow help if I bend it [Music] some some of that stays on I guess the stuff that's stuck there we won't that plastic kind of look yeah it'll continue to heal underneath it and as it heals it'll lift off turn that away so this thator this might be something that you might have to do okay is as this stuff peels off we just want you to turn it so you don't have to pull it off yourself it should just no we'll put a dressing on over top of it you have any like medical scissors we can we'll send some because I don't want to use kitchen scissors I know that's all we've been using right and that's okay and that's okay we use that all the we don't use kitchen scissors here no not here but we have all of our patients use them Burns aren't sterile so as long as everything's clean that you're using so looks like the super SLI off your elbow and so the a wrap is to your elbow oh no that's what she's working and it'll come he's smiling under his best and in a new interview with Fox News s is checking in and giving an update on his road to recovery and what exactly happened that landed him in the hospital he told Fox my whole right arm is bandaged up half of my left arm my face is basically melted from nose down but the swelling's gone down and they said the face is kind of amazing it's regenerative it happens real fast seems to heal quickly I've had better days I guess but I'm still alive so I'm doing good he then explained how it all happened the night after having a bonfire he went out to check on things and that's when the explosion occurred he told them a few nights ago I lit it and I let it burn down so the next day I went to check it to see you know how much was left if anything and there was a certain amount of debris and the side still left so I like a dummy did what I'm not supposed to do but I added some gas to it he was initially rushed to an urgent care but later transferred to a larger Hospital in De Moine he says he's not going to let it get him down he told them I'm not going to let it get me depressed the hardest part is just feeling stupid for doing it it's not even the physical part it's like going oh man I really learned the hard way I've got to make sure I just slow down sometimes and really examine the situation before I just dive in head first now it's great to see Sid is on the road to recovery again those are extremely painful injuries so can't imagine how painful that is for him to go through but this man is so tough getting up on stage with slip knot which is is you know if he's not able to do it I would totally understand that is crazy to see that kind of turnaround after just going through this only a few days ago so wishing him all the best dude's a legend and slip not those 25th anniversary shows are so amazing definitely go see them if you get the chance that is your
