Who Was the Life of the Party on 'Fight Night'? Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson & Others Answer

What it's like for Taraji to work with the cast well first off happy early birthday how are we celebrating girl I have no idea yet I gotta get through tonight what was it like to work with this iconic cast because everyone keeps saying you're the life of the party on set the life of the party Kevin Hart is not he was the jokester uh I guess no I wasn't no um they want money from me that's why they're uh no it was everybody's the life of the I mean we we all know each other we have great rapport with each other and then never felt like work that's that's a good role yeah um you went to the Paris Olympics is it true all you really wanted was a hot dog I wanted was a hot dog with it's not that they didn't have hot dogs they just had plain hot dogs in a plastic bag and and they give you a packet of mustard or ketchup and it's like that's not how you eat a hot dog I was thinking of you tonight I just want to show you I did bring you one if you want to open that up I brought my girl a hot dog I'm going to be getting hot dogs for the rest of the year here oh I'm eating this Taraji gets her hotdog when I go change my dress thank you we got a sporting event tonight night thank you so much I really appreciate that that sweet of you oh I'm going to get thinking of you girl thank you enjoy you showed up in character tonight yeah I mean they asked for Cadillac to be here so Cadillac sh up love it wig comfortable on you oh it's not a wig this is my dig this is the real this is my gig no no no but Mona made it perfectly for me and it was like wow this is the 70s we have to celebrate the 70s so I'm actually in the process of of actually growing my hair because I forgot what it felt like to have a frame you rock it and you're really leaning into the 70s tonight which we love to see so I've asked everyone tonight who Cast thinks Terrence is the life of the party the life of the party is in this cast and everyone is saying Terren I don't know why they're saying that but that must be after the drinks kick here we I'm I'm a little sober right now but give us give us about two more hours and everybody will start head cutting who's your answer to that question I think it's really Kevin Kevin is the one that turns it up between him and Don because they're always pushing everybody motivating people towards stuff and then then Frank get I mean then Sam gets involved and then he pushes it up and then teraji dances on the stage so they put it on me but it's them I'm just somebody in the back Wings just like okay I'll take the fall if you need me to well you got great energy uh who would you call to bail you out of jail sam'll be there yeah I called Sam or I call Don those two those would be the first people I would call taji would would would would would would chastise me to the end but Don and Sam you know Sam be like I'm not going to do this for you again I bet this was a really fun set to be on and it's based off true events which is really insane what do you find most shocking about this story What Terrence thinks is most shocking about the story what I find much shocking is the fact that everything is a is a freaking true event everything is based on a true event and there's there's a great deal of embellishment everywhere but the fact that the people that pulled it off that were responsible for the for the robbery that's the thing that gets you that's the thing you got to watch it to see you know because you could be talking to the monster themselves you know and that's the serpentine nature of this character that I love about it 20 years ago you and Don worked together on Crash do you have a favorite memory from that Favorite memory from 'Crash' film film um just when he he made the call to me Don was the one that called me and said hey um we have an opportunity to do this movie you know would you come and do it and take Forest Whitaker's place I was like thank you for the reach out thank you for thinking about me and that's what has made a big part of my career so I'm forever grateful to Don for that one phone call you know it meant everything to me this cast is Iconic can we just excuse me sir sir sir sir excuse me do you mind I get a little thing just a little yeah just a little breath I'm sorry let me ask you this who is life of the party on set I'm going to say uh Who Don thinks is the life of the party teraji oo everybody was working really hard I mean we were grinding for for months and months in in Atlanta so we had moments of levity but we were really working hard on this one I know you're all close so who's the one who will bail you out of jail who would bail I would I would never be in jail but I would I would say that all of them would bail me out of jail for sure we would all bail each other out of jail that's the kind of crew we got I love that uh Unstoppable so excited for that to come out what was it like working with JLo did you share scenes together I had no scenes with Jennifer all of my scenes were with Jerelle uh which were fantastic and I had a great time he's such a such a good actor and you know the craft is in in good hands with him and I'm really excited for people to see this one too an incredible true story as well and how surprised were you when you How Don feels about Robert Downey Jr. returning to Marvel heard that Robert Downey Jr is returning to Marvel he is he is I I have no idea I didn't I still don't know when is war machine returning I can't I have no idea about anything Marvel I've just been trained we're rooting for it me too me too well thank you uh highlight of working with this cast I think just every day going in and having you know the opportunity to to play and to really dig into these characters to to be in Atlanta where this is based and have Atlanta be a real character in the in the show as well uh it was just you know it was just a lot of fun and and lot very gratifying nice to meet you huge fan I I got to ask were you born to Samuel on playing the black Godfather play the Black Godfather I don't know I doubt it you were leaning in well things just come to me you know I find a way to make them my own or you know get in there and uh make it happen and tell me about finally working with your buddy Kevin Hart cuz you guys were waiting for the perfect project not really we had we had a perfect project a long time ago it just didn't happen he what was it I don't know I'm not going to tell you it was a will Packer movie too that's what he told me that is ex exactly what he told me uh 30th anniversary of P fiction this year can you believe that yeah do you have a favorite memory from that set working with Quenton and trola favorite Favorite memory from Pulp Fiction memory I don't know I think you know one of the one of the most fun times that people never talk about uh probably me John and Harvey Kel in that kitchen uh just the time that we spent with Harvey Harvey's just a great guy it's wonderful he makes you laugh all the time uh but that's you know it's one of the uh one of the underappreciated scenes from that film well you get lucky you get to work with some of the most iconic casts I'm asking everyone tonight who is the life of the party on set I guess terance unbelievably aners yeah no no I had I had running through my head what was going on what was going on yeah Terren all right well thank you enjoyed tonight good to see you Mr Jackson appreciate you stopping by [Music] oh
