conditions apply. Let's look back to week one 2024. Tyreek Hill steps onto the field has 11 catches 215 yards and two touchdowns en route to 44.5. Fantasy points. And the title the Undisputed week one fantasy hero of 2023. But now it is 2024 and we are going to chart out some potential fantasy heroes for week one of 2024. Marcas who is your potential hero. Well I'm going to stay with a wide receiver who plays his home games in Florida. And that's going to be Mike Evans. I talked earlier in the show about Baker Mayfield. As a week. One sleeper will be in part because he's chucking it up to this guy. Last season, Evans had a 25% target share, 42% of the Buccaneers air yards and the commanders last season were the most favorable matchup for wide receivers. I mentioned Liam Cohen and the new offense there in Tampa. They are planning and hoping to be a lot more explosive. Does that mean more Baker deep balls to Mike Evans? If so, I am absolutely here for it. I like Mike Evans a good amount, but I want to give some love to a receiver that plays just next door. A guy that I think we forgot about a little bit. And speaking of giving some love, look at this. Rams jacket that Jon Jones wore to work today. I mean it is the coolest fire jackets only Laquan killing it with that. But and Cooper Kupp is going to be killing it in week one because last season from week 13 on he was the wide receiver 11 in fantasy football. But let's not forget he hurt himself in the preseason. He came back. He hurt his ankle when he came back. The last time that we saw Cooper Kupp enter a season healthy, he had the greatest year and a half stretch run in fantasy that a wide receiver has ever had. And with him fully healthy now I think Cooper Kupp is going to remind the world like yeah I'm still that dude. And he's going to just go off in week one. Yeah triple Crown winner. And then everybody is just like okay he's done. Like Puka Puka is here. So we don't just throwing him away like like like buzz want to play with you anymore. No. You still got value. Love Cooper Kupp here. And I will double down on Saquon Barkley yet again. He had 23 points in his last matchup against the Packers a season ago. The team around him is just think of it like Saquon comes back from the knee injury. He's going through the contract dispute. Everything is going. We watched them on hard knocks like Shane's on the phone. Like telling him like, hey can we trust you? Trust me. Like after all I've done and now it's a full on revenge opportunity. The Packers, the first up I can't wait to see Saquon Barkley in this season. So those are some week one maybe fantasy heroes. Those guys are going to be villains for the guys that are playing against who are going to be some potential villains for the people who are putting them in their lineups. This week. Mike. Well, I was told that with this hair that I look like a super villain, so you guys better watch out. But I'm going with Rome Odunze here and I'm happy rank is not on the show this week. It is nothing against Rome himself. I love him. I think there's going to be plenty of weeks to start him. It's just there are two stud wide receivers that are going to be playing in two wide receiver sets ahead of him. Their new OC for Chicago, Shane Waldron, ranked bottom 10 in 3 wide receiver usage during his three year tenure with the Seattle, where they also ran the fewest offensive plays. It's him and Caleb's first NFL game. The Titans have added a lot defensively. I just kind of want to take a wait and see approach and make sure the volume is there and if he looks good, you could start him the rest of the way. That gives me a sad because I'm really excited about Romo and I am going to be watching to see how they do these two wide receiver sets. Who ends up as the odd man out? Which guy is the guy on the field? Keenan Allen has been a really nice mentor. Hopefully he doesn't mean he's training the guy to come take his job. We'll find out. Certainly starting this week. The guy who's a fantasy villain for me is Amari Cooper with the Cleveland Browns. And this is a little bit of a revenge game against the Dallas Cowboys. I really just think the Cowboys are going to do their part to try and lock down on Amari Cooper. He averaged about seven and a half fewer fantasy points per game with Deshaun Watson last year versus this time with Joe Flacco had just three top 12 finishes this past season as well. And look, right now we're still trying to figure out if Deshaun Watson can be anything close to what we saw all those years in Houston. So far, the returns in Cleveland have not been anything near that good. The Cowboys secondary very aggressive, very opportunistic. I think the Browns will take their shots. The question is how often can they connect downfield with a Watson and Cooper. Yeah just the revenge game opportunity makes it fun a chance to see just how things go for Amari against the Dallas Cowboys. I'm on the opposite side of Marcus again. The second time this show. Because there's a couple of different ways you can look at Dave Canales departure from Tampa Bay. And Dan Quinn's arrival in our nation's capital. I think the commanders defense will be better. And I also think the bucks offense might have a little bit of a drop off, considering just how successful the connection was between Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans under Dave Canales the past two seasons, Dan Quinn's defense has led the NFL in pressure rate. No, Micah Parsons is not playing for the Washington Commanders. But I do think it matters. We've seen Dan Quinn be successful for a number of years. Commanders aren't going to be the barbecue buffet that they were under Jack Del Rio. So week one kind of all
