movie notes on on the basis of sex 2018 film 5 July 2024 VI so I watched this today Friday 5 July 2024 I'm T Cory Leonard she here her of Seattle and the meaning of sex here is a biological sex or gender though the characters the person is about pushes gender and the film doesn't actually push biological sex so I it's not the potentially the most accurately phrased title for a movie um I'm T corly Leonard she here of Seattle these are my notes for my Friday 5 July 2024 viewing of the 2018 film on the basis of sex my description is it's a biographical film about the early career of Ruth Bader Ginsburg including her attending law school raising children with her husband and taking jobs in law outside the house so she's in a wave of women entering the task force in larger numbers not the first woman to enter the task force Workforce legal Force whatever you wants to phrase it um outside the home but it's like kind of like the wave of there are more women kind of um and so yeah so it's kind of it really is about her being a woman in her being like every woman must have a career outside the house um and then she kind of which is kind of an interesting thing to watch in the sense of then she misses some very pivotal moments in her own daughter's life because she's outside the house not really present as a parent very much so which some terms some may call her very neglectful so there's like you know the give and take of it all of yes you can push people outside the house but then you know she seeks the external validation of others but it's not even her family she grows apart from her family kind of in the progression of the movie so I'm just kind of like but is that really a good thing um so essentially I'm I have I have some some notes that I typed up there's the FR out here essentially takeaway of the film that's or a takeaways the legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg is all women employed in the workforce are in in the workforce and especially those in high Lev positions like six plus figure salary positions they owe their careers to Mrs Ginsburg and what she did early on I that floated around when I was in uh graduate school every woman in society had a um you know in the 21st century um had to give do attribution to where they are in their careers it would be all to her not they they might put in the hard work but they didn't have to put in in this type of hard work you know she P She paved the path for everybody else all other women kind of thing um she pushes for women must have a career outside the house personally I would like to be more present in the raising of my human children with my soulmates if I do work from um I would like to work from home as I can right this is with the me moving in with my soulmate and or soulmates however work from home and projects may not be synonymous with outside of the house career I could outside the house careers end poorly um so kind of like think about uh well here's one so all women have to get a job outside the house because that's social norms now he killed working women this guy the serial killer Gary rid at least supposedly a serial killer so and he focused on he killed women in one industry right so I was like you know like if we're trying to keep women safe and out of Harm's Way then like maybe actually like being like maybe not all women need to put themselves in a workplace that harms them right but that that Nuance is very much lost on this woman um especially the industry in this book you know goes back thousands of years and I'm not going to bring up the name of the industry at least at this point in time because I don't know about Community guidelines getting involved so there we go um yeah so perh perhaps Ruth meter Ginsburg was the type to blame um so was the type to blame his victims so in this book his victims get blamed by a lot of women who are kind of like working women and a different industry I'm right and they don't really consider his victim's work Choice a career so it's Ruth Bader Ginsberg that type perhaps considering how this movie portrays her so in reality what she really wants is women to have a career outside the house only in a field that she approves of which kind of reeks of mother parenting insecurities to me like stop being a control freak on all women right what does the professor say when she enters the room while the weather may change for a day the climate of the era Remains the Same she was the weather she he didn't like the weather right we don't like the climate remains unchanged all right but she I don't know if she got that okay um yeah so then one question that came to my mind when watching the movie was does a woman wearing makeup in a courtroom count as cheating if men are natural wear no makeup then does a woman choosing synthetic face something different than her natural face to present constitute a loss on presentation at the least cheating and performance at the least right um right so don't want to right was she an introduction of lower presentation St standards and performance standards because she chose to wear makeup wear makeup I don't know what the male standard was at the time but that just came to mind um okay and then drawing this way to my life where I had the takeway part of these movie notes at least sometimes I Venture a guess my [Music] ctio wants me in the house and or with him he's got the four little ostrich babies he wants me to raise that are like our human babies he like in the house I I I would guess he might be a gender Ro normative man come and get me bab okay handsome hands s uh all right and then last up thinking through problems for me and my soulmates outside the house so this is like okay I've talked about running so like let's say I wrote write a bunch of biography autobiographies and then let's talk about running I so like okay what what what would I need to do if I wanted to have a career not just like you know work in the house um and then like you know have stuff that happens outside the house but like for a career be in maybe it's a hybrid right inside and outside the house it's adaptable it's Dynamic it incorporates family instead of shutting them out of my Life by being in a different physical location you know kind of like integrating I do want my family as part of my life story um so then let's think through thinking so so okay I was think through problems for me and my soulmates outside the house once results so this is getting better back to like all the misinformation about me my soulmates especially my soulmates okay what um once results with real name of my soulmates are published report slf flag YouTube videos If as SL as applicable if they want to be acting with our consent they will remove the videos and upload footage of the race minus the M misinformation they published The First Time such as erroneous age and or soulmate name and or image and or likeness or better yet they are required to not upload footage meaning they get to feel their errors errors um I mean seriously are they ever going to do anything of their own initiative talk about incompetence okay I also choose to invoke competition contract for all those who impersonate me as a significant other to an impersonator of all my soulmates in my soulmates name space such as y being a person they're required to compete against me in competition when I am about quing my personal best times in competition in a competition of my choosing so yeah there we go um they yeah so it and that's part of the contract of impersonating is a they actually have to compete so if I enter a competition they actually have to compete the same level like kind of thing so I choose to invoke that we did not consent in the first place you at least got to at least got to compete right otherwise there is no otherwise that's what they it's about them being better than me so they got to prove it on the truck okay um they said I was easy to beat so they could approve it if they lose they are required to pay all money back made so all money made back to me I agree with that business plan let us be at peace with each other right just pay it back if you lose right if you beat me but again I have to bet equal my personal best times um and then the removal sequence so for removing the stuff that has the misinformation the like removal sequence SL prioritization one all personal life misinformation two all age misinformation three all country competing representing misinformation so like if my being a Britain um per entry was representing Hungary but was wearing like a norw Norway uniform um they need to change that to reflect that it was Hungary not Norway that he want to meddle with kind of thing um even if it looked some like something else right paperwork results actual the real results are hungry that thing um and then four all name misinformation so if he didn't compete with ington as his last name and instead was Leonardi that needs to be changed as well that's the order so again well no I won't okay yeah yeah so there we go those are my movie notes I was like this is right legal realm and so I was thinking through misinformation does it need to be legal I would hope not but people seem to really not be capable of taking initiative these days um movie notes on the the basis of sex so on on the
