Clayton Kershaw injured, just another starting pitcher injury for the Dodgers

teacher talking Sports what it does what it do how we liveing I don't think I need to tell the listeners about pitching injuries and how frequent they have been if you're a fan of baseball the MLB you're well aware that many pitching staffs have been injury ravaged and one team that might be near the top of that list for most injury ravage staffs would be the Los Angeles sta rers they haven't been without their star pitcher Yamamoto um yoshinobu yam yam Yamamoto for quite some time and now it looks like a pitcher who is out for months to begin the season may miss more time so this is the ASN Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw left his start against the Arizona Diamond Backs on Friday night due to pain in his left big toe uh Dave Roberts said pain is a lingering issue from a bone spur adding that Kershaw could end up on the injured list definitely wouldn't be surprised if he is so the Dodgers still won the game and it's an important one because the Diamondbacks and Padres have been nipping at their tails although the Dodgers are trying to uh create some space between them we take a look at Kershaw's numbers on the year again uh he was injured much to begin the season think think he made his debut either in Late July early August but you see in his seven starts 4 and a half year right it was under four prior to yesterday of course um you know one of the most dominant pitchers really in MLB history for long stretch Five Seasons leading the league and erra and with how injury ravage their staff is yes I understand Kershaw's definitely had his well documented problem in the postseason uh but they definitely would probably need to use them the way um how many pitchers are injured for them I mean we take a look Kershaw uh injured Yamamoto will throw a bullpen session Sunday and have his next Rehab start with triple A Oklahoma City on Tuesday uh he's been out for quite some time maybe since June uh graterol is a reliever but nonetheless he's on the I Tyler glaso uh you know guy who had all the potential in the world in Tampa Bay but we knew he had his injury problems um he's currently on the 15-day I but as you see uh he did play catch yesterday River Ryan who was looking good as a rookie um missing the rest of the regular season Dustin may uh torn esophagus out for the season man you're going to wonder what could have been with him he's looked great when he's pitched it just hasn't been frequent I me Shan out for the season and Tony gonin didn't pitch at all this season due to Tommy John's surgery nonetheless you see the Dodgers own a five game lead now over their Diamondbacks and Padres it was smaller than that not too long ago so Dodgers trying to make room there are what 27 games left for the team uh you see they have a two game lead over both the Brewers and Phillies for best record in the NL also the Yankees all three of those teams 79 and 56 so a two game lead for the best record in MLB despite all the pitching injuries never mind that sh Otani is also not pitching this season but tough break for the Dodgers just have not been able to get anything going with their pitching step any continuity uh they did trade for Jack knocked on wood he has not gotten hurt yet Gavin Stone has basically been a god godsend for the team but right now they got Bobby Miller back in the majors who really has struggled mightily after a awesome 20203 uh what are your thoughts can the Dodgers still win it all even with the pitching injuries um you know Yamamoto should be back for the playoffs if he doesn't get hurt again uh we'll see how long Kershaw was out Walker buers also was Hur a while um he came back hasn't been anything special for the Dodgers since coming back uh but just another pitching injury for the Dodgers and just another pitching injury in general anyhow don't forget to subscribe tell a friend tell friend tell friend subscribe like the video share the video hit the bell for notifications I'm out
