I love what the Star Wars sound designer Ben ber said to George Lucas when initially starting his work on Star Wars and creating the sounds of Star Wars that we know so well bber was initially inspired by 2001 Space Odyssey and said well there's no sound in space bber loved 2001 A Space Odyssey and also had a background in physics so when it came to creating sounds that exist in space he said initially well there's no sound in space and he told George Lucas this and apparently George Lucas was puzzled by this but replied by saying well we're going to have Sound and Music In Space he wasn't shy about creating a world where you hear everything in space which I think is part of what made Star Wars feel so real yes it's not scientifically accurate but doesn't it sound great
