The Batman 2 First Details, Joker 2 Reactions, Wolfman First Look & MORE!!

interesting things to discuss here today A lot of it is pertaining to DC news updates I'm finally going to be talking about the rumored casting for how Jordan we're going to be looking at these disastrous Joker 2 reviews and Matt re has finally given us our breadcrumbs of details for the Batman part two oh we're going to be diving into that along with so much more so you guys know drill leave your opinions down below hit that like button and yeah I hear your comments people the spooky season is upon us mama everywhere are hiding not just cuz I'm out baby but because it's almost time to Spook your mama and I do plan to spend the weekend spook aying this set and making a vlog should be fun but until then let's dive into our first story that's about a horror movie I was really looking forward to coming out next year you guys know Lee wiell who Wolfman First Look directed The Invisible Man is making another Universal monster movie Wolfman for Plum housee and because Lee wiell has done me no wrong in the past making movies like upgrade writing the first Saw movie writing Insidious I have no reason to doubt the genius he will bring to this film and so all I've been kind of waiting for is our first trailer our first look at this Wolfman and we got it and oh my flapping for goodness because the spooky Mama season is Right Upon Us Halloween Horror Nights is beginning and they have a section dedic at to Blum houses The Wolfman where they decided this will be the way they reveal the Wolfman to the world having a man in costume representing this movie's version of The Wolf Man and oh yikes yikes yikes yikes okay let's get one thing out of the way we know this is a guy in a costume it's going to look a lot more professional detailed and just overall better in the actual movie as opposed to a guy who's just meant to be around a theme park and scare your little kid this is still what the design they're going with and nowhere in here am I seeing Wolf Man I mean you could have shown me and I would have thought this was just an old man who got a zombie virus or just a person that belongs in the wrong turn franchise I'm always down to see a new Unique Look for a Wolfman design but this I just it screams blumhouse fumble and lately they have been on a streak of blumhouse fumbles it's also LED people to go Yep this is a January movie of course cuz this film was originally supposed to come out October of this year but the Venom movie and a lot of other high-profile films coming out seem to make it too crowded for it so they moved it to January the only thing keeping my hopes up is the fact that this is Lee wiell and this is going to be another winner I remember people doubting his Invisible Man and people ended up loving it myself included so yeah I'm not really happy with design I did hear one person theorize there may be going a completely different route with this movie like what if in this film a person just gets bitten by a wolf who has rabies and it does create this sort of like zombie wolf virus in them and it's going for a completely different kind of Wolf Man story maybe one more realistic and grounded and that kind of saved the design for me okay yeah if this is like some sort of advanced wolf rabies that you get from being bitten by an actual wolf not a werewolf just a regular wolf okay I'm down for this kind of interpretation but I guess we'll wait and see uh you guys look at this design for The Wolf Man uh can you at all Salvage this are you going to give it a chance or do you think Dead on Arrival Green Lantern Cast Update bring this now to talk about basically all DC stuff we got a lot of updates in the DC Universe let's start off with Green Lantern earlier this week we got a report from Nexus point that has recently become super reliable when it comes to DCU news like for real this guy has in James guns's Inner Circle leaking out details and you know James gun is pissed they've reported stuff in the past that's end up becoming true so whenever they talk about something in the DCU you want to pay attention and well the latest thing they let us know is that Josh Brolin is the front runner and is currently being offered the role of Hal Jordan for the Green Lantern HBO series now we have other Front Runners that we'll talk about here in a sec but right now Josh broland is the main one it's going to be up to him whether he takes the job or says no thank you then they go to these other people but just looking at Josh broland I am mixed man I have nothing against Josh I liked him as cable great voice as Thanos but I'm not crazy about him as Hal Jordan I just I always found Hal Jordan to be kind of a Charming not really funny but almost like a Boy Scout kind of character and Josh broland just always seems to play like a rough grizzled kind of angry person but it seems like in a weird way that is what they're going for cuz thanks to Daniel rpk he described that the DCU is wanting an older Gruff noons mentor to a younger John Stewart who he'll be paired alongside with in the Green Lantern HBO show and look I'm not as mad about the fact that Hal Jordan in this movie is going to be an older person there's a lot of people upset that James gun is casting old Green Lanterns with like Nathan Philly and his Guy Gardner and now Josh broland possibly as Green Lantern people in their 50s but to me I always knew the main Green Lantern in these movies would end up being John Stewart which is a really great version and he would most likely be the younger Green Lantern but if for some reason Josh Brolin does decide to pass on it the other names being thrown around are people like Yan McGregor uh Matthew mcconahay Chris Pine Timothy Olen and I think the obvious pick here is going to be Chris Pine I think people have been begging for Chris Pine Green Lantern for a long time and that probably would be the one to make me the happiest cuz he still kind of gives off that younger energy if not low key I'm going to say you and McGregor I feel like he can for sure pull off a how Jordan but I've seen other people say Matthew mccon Timothy Olin I'm honestly just more interested interested with the Green Lantern story in general it's supposed to be like a detective mystery where it's how Jordan and John stort investigating a murder and like a rule part of Earth and they uncover something that's going to shock the whole DCU it's taking inspiration from shows like True Detective we'll see how things turn out but right now I kind of am hoping Josh broland passes on it cuz some of these other faces fit more how Jordan to me but what about you guys bringing us now Joker 2 First Reactions to talk about Joker 2 fedini Douro the movie has recently premiered at a film festival where it's actually gotten some mixed review let's start off looking at some of the positives and then some of the negative ones we have one here that says after watching Joker I need some time to process it wasn't what I expected but in the best way possible Todd Phillips and Scott silver took a bold creative leap the film feels like an indie Art House film in a lot of ways Joker 2 is practically a mix of a prison and courtroom drama blended with a musical it's dark and intense we have a review here that says Joker defies all expectations the Jukebox musical features raw engaging performances from Lady Gaga and walking Phoenix I do feel it will divide audiences but at its core it's an intriguing look at the duality of Arthur Fleck and the Joker a review here that says Joker is a bold daring and mesmerizing Masterpiece walking Phoenix continues to amaze as Arthur Fleck while Lady Gaga delivers the best performance of her career thus far as Harley Quinn Todd Phillips has truly up the ante in almost every way with this sequel so looking at these there's definitely people coming out really enjoying the movie mesmerizing by enjoying the musical aspect thinking the performances were great and then you read some of these mix reviews of people who really didn't like it one year that says Joker 2 feels like it's bad on purpose a fascinating lifeless troll of a movie designed to anger fans and bore everyone else it's a complete waste of Lady Gaga is worse than any of Joker's crimes Joker 2 a frustrating disappointment most of the sequel is a response to the criticism of the first movie showing that Arthur is just a mirror of Darkness of society the musical scenes are Exquisite but it doesn't have anything to say this time no new ideas and so looking at that in a few weeks time you and me are going to figure out where do we land on Joker 2 the thing that scares me the most is the review saying that the movie feels like it's just addressing some of the critiques from the first movie and doesn't really introduce new ideas I know there's people out there that love that first Joker movie to death but I was always someone kind of mixed on it cuz you could for sure see where Todd pH was pulling his inspiration from Todd Phillips in interviews talking about how this will never be the maniacal genius Joker from the comics he'll never go up against a Batman it's making you wonder like are these even really Joker movies or just a movie about a crazy person wearing the Joker outfit which is a popular Theory and for some reason that redeems the movies for some people oh he's not the Joker he inspires The Joker so I don't know I guess we'll see but how are you guys feeling on these mixed reviews for Joker 2 moving on now The Batman 2 Update talking about another elseworld story in the DC Universe the Batman oh I cannot wait to find an excuse to reput on my Batman outfit and do crazy dumb things for you guys and we have been on a dry spell where we have barely gotten any information about this sequel but now Matt Reeves has spoken up in promotion for the Penguin series coming up he's of course being asked about the Batman part two and every little interview he's revealing more and more stuff some things that are making fans mad starting off with the basic idea for what Matt reev wanted to accomplish with the Batman part two he says it's another mystery in the Batman 2 that's going to dig into the Epic story about deeper corruption and it goes into places that he couldn't even anticipate in the first one the seed of where this goes are all in the first movie and it expands in a way that will show you aspects of the character you never got to see Batman is constantly battling these forces but those forces can't be entirely exercised so the next movie delves deeper into that and yeah that kind of makes sense especially when Matt re came out and said that his Batman movies were called like the Batman epic crime Saga and if you look back at that first Batman movie you can get an idea of what he means about the clues and seeds laid out for what will come to pass in Batman part two things like the secret murder of his parents his mom being in an asylum it's like there's deeper things going on here and some people are predicting the court of owls which yeah that'd be kind of cool for them to tackle another interesting thing he says about the movie is that we will not shift Focus away from Batman to the villains bat Batman will continue to grow as a character as these movies continue on saying a lot of the times what happens is you establish the Batman in the first movie and then the next movie is the Riddler's movie or the Joker's movie and the Rogues Gallery takes Center Stage I wanted to find a way to keep Batman as the central Arc of these movies that's something I'm also loving to hear I don't mind the villains getting a good story arc or taking a little bit of the focus away but you got to admit Matt Reeves is the Batman has a lot of growing to do particularly when it comes to that Bruce Wayne part which isn't really there we're thinking that's going to be a huge focus of the Batman part two is now that the Batman has figured out he needs to be a symbol of Hope Bruce Wayne needs to come out of hiding and also do some good for the city and build up that Persona which is kind of what I most excited for in the Batman part two has seen Robert pans since Bruce Wayne kind of come out but now if we want to get into the details that we're making some fans upset and cause some debates online we have here Matt Reeves mentioning Matt Reeves says the Batman Universe might push to the edge of the Fantastical but we would never go into full Fantastical what was important to me was to find a way to take these pop icons these mythic characters that everybody knows and translate it so that Gotham feels like a place in our world and that shouldn't really be a surprise Matt Reeves has been saying it for the longest time there will not be many Fantastical elements in his Batman Universe meaning we're not going to get any Supernatural or superpowered villains and that is where some fans came out and said stuff like I hope James gun finds a director who walks in and says I'm doing poison ivy Clayface and manbat if I have to sit through another Batman franchise with Joker penguin Catwoman Falcone and scarecrow I'm going to lose my effing mind and there was a lot of people agreeing with this take and complaining the same thing and again this isn't new a lot of people complained whenever Matt Reeves got attached to make his first Batman movie cuz we heard this is what was going to happen it was going to be a grounded realistic Batman just like Christopher Nolan did and people are ready to go back to the days of like Batman Forever or Batman and Robin as weird as that may sound people want to see those versions of Batman done in a serious way I'd be right there complaining with these people and getting mad if I didn't already know James gun is going to give us that in the DCU he hired director Andy muset who did the flash he's going to give us a robin Damen Wayne he's going to introduce the bat family and that's going to be the Batman that has all the superpowered villains the supernatural stuff the weird things and hopefully it is done right but a lot of people have their doubts cuz again it's the director of The Flash you know lately if you're a fan of The Flash and you like that movie you got to go into witness protection cuz they will just come at you and bully you for liking that movie I am one of them controversy and nonsense aside I found the flash entertaining not the best comic book movie ever made made but I didn't hate that film I think what people are more pissed about is the fact that you get someone like a Matt Reeves who is a clear talented real serious director who could probably do something so cool with a supernatural Fantastical Batman story but he chooses not to and then you have someone like Andy mushet who's already created a divisive comic book movie uses a lot of CGI has interesting choices for looks in a movie a lot of people doubt that movie is at all going to compare to any Batman movie made in the last 10 15 years we want a Christopher Nolan who's willing to make the manb clay face poison ivy movie you know but I don't think we're going to get it so we'll see what happens but either way I'm excited we get the best of both worlds serious Batman and we get the fun Batman let's
