well Casper well played flashes of lightning in the air flashes of Brilliance right here on the court a brilliant win for you you're through to the third round of the US Open well played my friends yeah thank you uh thanks to the guys uh who stayed who came back to watch the end it was uh pretty long long day long night very warm today so luckily I got to play in the afternoon and the evening so that helped but uh yeah really tough match super happy with the win I um was a real big fight there towards the end first sets were a bit up and down from both but uh that last set was uh close and luckily I played a really good tie break you're in the middle of a really intense battle with G on the court here and then of course the rain starts to fall how do you manage that as a player do you do you try and keep yourself you know motivated and and and keep yourself moving whilst you're waiting for the match to get back underway yeah honestly it was quite nice today cuz it was quite warm there at one point and humid and I was feeling it in my uh body I was physically was quite tough but uh so I got 1 hour to go in cool down rest have some food and uh come back out with more energy so that was a good thing maybe it helped me a little bit so luckily the the lightning and the rain was on my side in a way today we talk about those flashes of Brilliance we're just going to replay one of those points up on the big screen if you want to talk us through it was to love in the tie break watch this point again and talk us through cuz this was incredible defense from you yeah just never giving up is sometimes uh what you need uh gu is unbelievable shot producer and um he's so much power easy power and already from there I'm on the defense and that's a good forun by him I just track it down and uh that one as well I didn't think I was going to get to that but uh and then we go here yeah just tracking down everything and guy was a little bit careful with his overhead and then I took advantage and yeah I don't know a bit lucky Round of Applause folks that was amazing well let you get in in a minute cuz I know it's late and you want to crack on but I just want to remind you 28th of August 2023 this court fourth match on grand stand second round you lost in five sets you've come back tonight same court same de eight same match of the day and won did that play on your mind at all were you aware of that yeah I was was a tough five Setter last year so wanted to get my revenge and was a different player of course today but um that was a loss that kind of stung a little bit obviously with the result from 22 I reached the final and was nowhere near we were defending that so I lost in the second round and uh I always have good me I always have good memories coming back here but a few tough losses as well so that was one of them and luckily I Avenged it tonight all right well L now 2022 fin it's going well on man we'll see you in the next round well played
