The Chargers Are Making Moves!

Chargers news today the Chargers have already made Moves after that Seahawks game and they added a new wide receiver not a new quarterback but they did make a quarterback move also Junior Coulson he's getting back into the action a little bit as he is now participating in individual drills but still not doing team drills after his appendicitis and then traymon Morris Brash bro he continues to flash in practice I feel like we're hearing his name a lot now but let's go ahead and start with the quarterbacks because that's probably the Casey Bauman and Praise Olatoke waived biggest concern right now at least that's my biggest concern is like who the heck is going to be the backup quarterback in case Justin Herbert misses any sort of time the Chargers they released Casey Balman the undrafted free agent quarterback and praise oke in order to make room for Isaiah wooden the wide receiver and Shaquille cman the linebacker who was released by The Eagles recently so Joe Ortiz and Jim Harbaugh man they are not afraid to make moves with the roster immediately after their first preseason game action like you love to see that I I don't think Tom Tesco would be making moves as quickly as Joe hores and Jim Harbaugh are praise all the to and Casey Bowman I guess they just weren't impressing the coaching staff or improving in practices the way that they wanted so they went out and signed Isaiah wooden who they worked out last week the same workout where they Isaiah Wooden Signed did sign Luis Perez but Isaiah wooden he's more of a slot wide receiver he ran a 436 6 40 yard dash so I love the speed they're obviously very uh clear about wanting to add speed to this roster especially at that wide receiver position it's like every single guy they've added has been like a 43 guy basically but Isaiah wooden he's also 5'9 175 lb so not the kind of guy that you want to put out there on the outside and press coverage or anything like that but definitely a speedy wide receiver little bit of juice to his game you want to utilize out in space I like the idea here of this signing and and understand why prais L is the guy that you wave in order to make room for Isaiah wooden but I really want to see Darius Davis involved more in this offense in that same kind of role like I guess it's always good to bring in competition right so this move it it feels more like I guess a practice squad candidate to be called up during the regular season in case somebody gets injured and they need like an extra wide receiver really quickly like it's Tuesday and they need a wide receiver for this Sunday and they'd be able to call up Isaiah wooden who knows the scheme knows the Playbook is with the team already on the practice squad so I like this move if that is what this is but also I like Darius Davis too man and I want to see him play that role in this offense and I just feel like I don't know we haven't seen it and then Shaquille cman the Shaquille Quarterman Signed linebacker that they just signed he was a fourth round pick for the Jaguars in 2020 the Eagles just signed him this past off season and then you know they released him but Shaquille quarterman at Miami he was a fast hard-hitting linebacker I mean the thing that people probably remember this guy from is this hit on Derk Henry where he just completely like flatlined him not really a a guy that's great in zone coverage or anything like that so it's interesting that Jim Harbaugh and Joe hortiz are trying to add competition at that linebacker spot after what we saw from Nick Neeman like he did have seven run stops but like I said in my video yesterday he also missed two tackles wasn't really consistent in the Run game he was shooting the wrong Gap at times and then also missing tackles at times 15% Miss tackle rate I'm sure they don't like that at all Shaquille cman he could come in and you know bring some competition to that room we'll see but Chargers Want Luis Perez To Get More Snaps it's interesting because the charges they need help at quarterback so they cut Casey Balman the quarterback and then signed uh a linebacker in place of him on this roster but it's actually an addition by subtraction move and I I mean this with all due respect but listen to me by cutting somebody in that quarterback room they are giving more snaps to Luis Perez who is just signed uh like last week to the day that you are watching this video probably literally last Tuesday he was signed and arguably Luis Perez has been the most impressive quarterback behind Justin Herbert already in this short amount of time so they want to get him acclimated as soon as possible get as much Playbook into his brain as they possibly can and listen it would have been great to see him in the joint practice against the Rams this Wednesday that was scheduled but that is now off thanks Rams because it it actually is the Rams fault Jim Harbaugh said that in his interview the Rams they wanted to call it off so he was fine with it he said if it's not good for them it's not good for us so they just canceled it I would have loved to see that though man see how he would have played how how that offense would have played out would have been great Reps for Luis Perez but we're just going to have to wait until Saturday to see how he plays against the Rams because that is their preseason game Luis didn't play amazing or anything against the Seahawks but after watching Easton stick for a whole hour it really made me feel like Luis Perez was Superman but Jim Harbaugh he was really happy with how far Luis Perez has come in such a short amount of of time this is what he had to Jim Harbaugh Interview on Luis Perez say about him in the interview really Arrow up you know for being here for 4 days uh he's he's acquitted himself as as uh as well as a guy probably could pretty outstanding you know now we want more you know uh but he's he's attacking it he's here early staying late I mean he's he's doing everything uh everything in his in his power I mean it's uh all you can guarantee a guy is an opportunity and he's guaranteed that so uh you know competitors welcome so it's going to be really interesting to see how that backup quarterback spot shakes out didn't really expect that to be the most competitive and most interesting battle throughout training camp but you know it kind of is to me Chargers Injuries and Joey Bosa right now and I'm also a little bit concerned about Joey Bosa because he's still not out there practicing since he's been working through something right all the way back to the Joint practice with the Rams I think is when he initially hurt his hand I think it was and also he had a hand injury earlier in his career didn't he so I don't know if it's the same hand or anything like that but like Joey Bosa he's really good with his hands he uses his hands like to the highest level in the NFL you want him to have good healthy hands you know what I mean but you can see a full list of guys that were not practicing today so cam Hart was actually back out there hopefully we'll see him in game action on Saturday but him and Junior Coulson were doing individual drills so they're getting in the swing of things that's good two rookies coming back into action and now the last thing to talk about today another rookie that is flashing still Tre'Mon Morris Brash STILL ballin traymon Morris Brash bro he continues to flash in training camp played pretty well against the Seahawks and in practices leading up to that game but yesterday he flashed yet again as he got a sack in the team drills against Max Dugen and then later on in individual drills he was matched up against Tyler mlen on three reps okay so here's what happened he won with speed on the first move nice tried to spin move on the second one but got stopped and then his final rep he used his power to knock Tyler mclen onto the ground okay keep in mind Tyler mclen is 6'8 355 lbs the guy is a certified Mammoth okay and traymon he is 6'2 255 lb so he's 100 lb lighter and 6 in shorter like 6 in that is huge man you guys know that okay and also I don't need to stress to you how big of a weight difference 100 lb is like there are weight classes in boxing in MMA for a reason it it does make a difference and traymon he has a very wide variety of different pass rush moves that we've seen him win with and that is rare for a rookie especially an undrafted free agent rookie like every sing move that we saw against Ty mlen here that was written down it was speed and then a spin move and then a power move all different moves on every single rep so this is definitely a guy that we have to keep watching because it seems like every day now we're hearing his name being brought up for a good reason and Chargers vs Seahawks Highlights and Takeaways that is everything that you need to know and if you did not see my video yesterday here's a full breakdown of that terrible Seahawks game
