Illinois taking public submissions for new state flag design

And you at six tonight, the state of Illinois wants your help to redesign its flag. This will be the first change to the state's flag in more than 50 years. The commission will accept entries online or via mail starting September 3rd that runs through October 18th. Officials say the contest is to honor Illinois's heritage while showcasing the evolving story of Illinois. We've posted an article on our website with submission guidelines.
