Petty penalties in Venezuela [Music] hello everyone welcome back to the Copper Club podcast with myself and of course Peter pankovski we're going to be doing something completely different this week and that's down to the feedback from the survey we put out so it look really grateful for all the responses about what you want to see from us um whether that's the Magazine online or our podcasts I'll attach the link to Apple Spotify and YouTube descriptions if you haven't and you want to have your say but there was a lot of you saying I want to know more about South American stories what actually happens on the continent away from just player profiles so we'll still do them especially around the transfer window but Peter and I have put together a list of ridiculous bizarre stories coming out of South America as you would expect so we're going to do a Whistle Stop tour around a few countries over the last few weeks and we're planning on doing this once a month um may be a little bit more frequent depending on demand and what stories we find we've already had to chop and change a million stories over the last few weeks but we think we've put our best list together so yeah please do the survey if you want to find out a little bit more about our future content and you can shape that because this is literally proof in the pudding that we will do what you guys one so to kickart Peter first of all how are we doing mate completely different episode right this is going to be fun yeah I mean I said it like South America is just a mental place anyways at least football-wise so we might as well put some context into it it's actually a great suggestion I'm so happy people made it because there's so many stories like I know I'm Brazil focused but there's so many stuff you can talk about in every single country that likely need like 10 episodes just to cover two weeks so so yeah I'm I'm excited for this one we we we will get to Brazil because there are some stories which have made like mainstream media but we can talk into it a little bit more detail but first of all we're going to take you guys to Venezuela where it's a couple of weeks old now but I'm sure European audience haven't heard it and uh the two big teams in Venezuela Deo Takira versus karakas known as the Classico faced off uh in the last two about two weeks ago now at the time we recorded in and at this stage of the season the teams if they do draw the games go to penalties so almost equivalent to like the efl trophy if UK listeners are tuning in to figure out why that happens we maybe do a future episode explaining about South American Leagues because that can be quite confusing in itself but just for now if a game's a draw it will go to penalties and takiro versus Caracas were drawing the game one all in true South American fashion 10 minutes were added on now at the start of the second half caraka had been a change where the Panama International stare evado Rose came on now he picked up a needless yellow in the 96th minute now three minutes later almost the last kick of the game Caracas have had a well an attacking free kick where they've played the ball into the box someone's nodded it down to Rose who's lashed it home thinks he's won the Classico in the last minute he's taken his shirt off but the Lions woman right in front of him has flagged for offside now it's gone to V yes there is v in Venezuela which may surprise a few people now the diff there's no difference in V between whether it's Venezuela or whether it's England because again there was complete incompetence and what I mean by that is they've drawn up the lines and they've clearly shown that the player who's nodded it down to Rose was on side so almost looks like it is definitely going to be a goal and carak has have won it in the last minute Rose has obviously been sent off for taking his shirt off and picking up that second yellow card but it doesn't matter because he's won the game but no V his consistency isn't the around the globe that even when they've drawn the lines and I don't understand this because these this footage you can see it on YouTube has almost gone viral because they've drawn the lines they've shown that he's offside but the people watch watching the monitors I've gone well they've chalked the goal off and for the life of me I'm not really sure why that's happened so it's good to know that V isn't consistent all over the globe but it just goes to show there's so many gray areas as to like what are they actually seeing here anyway Rose has been sent off Caracas have lost their heads Renee Rivas a 21-year-old hothead foras who just returned from suspension he loses it in the melee and the drama which unfolds afterwards and he gets sent off so once it's all calmed down the game finishes one all and I don't know about you Peter I have been Petty at times during my career during my life in all sorts of life but in all sorts of different scenarios rather but what kakas decided to do and protest even for South America this was ridiculous they decided to purposely miss all of their Penal PES and the goalkeeper moved out the way to allow teira to basically win the penalty shootout three to nothing and this is a really important fixture in Venezuela as I said it's called the Classico but Peter like come I I've never seen anything like this in South americ I know it's a first time doing this sort of podcast and it may sound like I'm trying to egg it but it was it was nuts wasn't it no it was it was thing is when I just rehashed the game a little bit just to see what the whole story was about Phil there just a couple of questionable decisions here and there kind of you could allude to the Penalty that teira had in order to equalize and like yes okay there is hand ball like more likely a penalty than not but still raises some eyebrows there and then it's just the whole Carnage in pandemonium at the end of the game was simply like Poetic at South America I have a kind of a to play Devil's Advocate I have a theory that maybe they try to be how do I put it hipsterish in a sense and say that okay we use the line to draw him on side because obviously the the sorry the Caracus player was um he was on the same line as the defender but the defender had stretched his arm so if that arm technically doesn't come into play which is something I don't think like it's it's very subjective when when it's being taken into account if that arm is not there and it's technically not a part that is allowed to be used by the player then maybe he is offside and they try to play that decision but to me is just one where it's why i' I've as someone who actually watches like American Sports and American football in particular I feel the one thing I adore there and this is coming from a person who is very well aware that American football is filled with controversy and questionable refereeing decisions a lot of the penalties are actually explained to the crowd and to everybody watching so if obviously that will take time but if there's a way that could be implemented into football I'd love to hear it because things like this just leave the the the the football fan just with in in disbelief I'd say and I if that's the case obviously if it's a final like the maximalist in me I'd want to win it but I can actually fully understand that a couple of years ago we had a team that actually walked off after a couple of in Bulgaria actually walked off the pitch after a not of questionable decisions so this honestly pettin pettin in football is not something I'm I'm a stranger to so not really surprised there I think I I do like the angle of like the referee explaining why they've made that decision and I think it's been introduced in a few countries but again it just shows the inconsistency with v no matter where you are in the world but I don't think even if the referee had stated his decision like kakas would have like approached it sensibly they clearly had an agenda here and yes it wasn't a final it was a regular game here so they could almost afford to have this mini protest I was trying to put myself in Caracas is shoes and think that I would probably do better than them but I prob probably wouldn't have and it would have been a big stance for a player to go in and score after obviously the decision's been made for the other team not to but that was that was just wild and I think it's going to hope hopefully it's going to set the tone for our other stories throughout but that one was just ridiculous and yeah I don't think anything I tried to find out if anything had happened afterwards and shock that the league had sort of just brushed it under the table and and tried to carry on but this game is on YouTube and I definitely recommend going checking it out afterwards because it is really quite funny as a neutral that you'd be so annoyed if you were a k fan I was going to mention that it's just classic South America whenever controversy pops out and this is something like this is obviously normal to react to but like if it's a racism case or something that's the only or something of sorts that's when like they react anything else questionable refereeing decision red card someone maybe even beating up the referee is just Shrugged under the table and it's yeah this never happened we just we'll just qu a jot on like com is there we we'll worry about it if we worry if we have to worry about it 100% look we might have to make a penalty section because before we move over to talk about our second story of the week is as soon as I noed penalties I don't know about you Peter but it popped up in my timeline because I didn't see it at the time but Baka played Tes in the copper America round of 16 now if you that if you love penalties then this is another sort of YouTube clip to go back through because it was 22 penalties before bcka eventually got through to the quarterfinals B's goalkeeper scored T's goalkeeper missed that I don't about you but the last time I saw 22 penalties I think it was what man united Via Real in Europa League final there must have been more but like not as high profile at 22 penalties I mean I love a penalty shootout I could even get the wife involved in watching the penalty shoot out with me but even after 22 I'm bored It's A Hard Sell isn't it h so yeah not quite as not quite as sort of maybe dramatic as the Caracas decided to miss all of theirs to be honest props to the props to the commentator for that game cuz he was hyping up every single penalty and the penalty Miss as well you could just hear it like I know South American especially Latin commentators in terms of you Spanish speaking commentators they're different levels Bolivia's altitude and new gems but this was just one of the best like every M like oh it was a side to see that that will get me off my seat for sure yeah at least keep me invested at least keep me invested like I admit 22 penalties is a lot give him a pay rise for that yeah we'll move away from penalties but we'll keep an eye out on penalties and over the next month before we do the next episode because there's always some sort of contentious drama sticking with drama but moving across to Bolivia now as the time we're recording this we're in the middle of the World Cup qualifiers and what's interesting about South America World qualifiers this time around is there are 10 teams competing to reach the 2026 World Cup and seven of them can be there so if you are in that bottom three then you've done something terribly wrong that seventh spot goes to a playoff and I believe they'll play in Oceana team so potentially someone like Australia as we saw Australia Peru last time before Qatar I think it was which inevitably went to penalties again so there's there's a theme already for the start of this podcast but Bolivia are a team who have made a world cup but it's I can't remember I probably should have Dro this down before it's been a very long time since they have been at up and they very inconsistent but the reason why they're always Inc contention is because of the high altitude in Bolivia now we've spoken about this a few times on the podcast before but if you are just joining us and wondering why Bolivia seemingly when all of their home games is because they normally play in their Capital laaz which is 3,500 met above sea level now what does that mean well that means there are there's 50% less oxygen in the air so when countries or players who aren't used to those conditions go there they generally suffer they feel nauseous they feel sick they can't last the whole game we see it time and time again in the Liberto dores and sudamericana Brazilian teams who have no altitude just send a reserve team and just don't really care about the fixture but for the Bolivian national team it's an opportunity for them to use that to their advantage and at the same time it really irritates hates if I'm going to put it in a PG way other nations but for me if you're Bolivia you have that Advantage you use it but not only did they use it to their advantage this time they took it up a notch because as I said they normally play their home games in lapaz and that's 3,500 MERS above sea level but things haven't been going the way of late so a home tie against Venezuela offered them an opportunity to bridge that gap for seventh spot and they decided to well the rules allowed them to move from leaz to always ready Stadium fantastic name fantastic football club and their stadium is called El Alto which is the highest football stadium in the world at 4,200 m above sea level no surprise then to see Bolivia pick up a 4 nil Victory if you are to watch any clips of the game go back and watch vaca's first goal uh and in true sort of altitude Advantage style the only way to describe it is you know when you were a kid on the beach or in the back garden and you have one of those plastic footballs and you like strike the ball and you feel like you've turned into Roberto Carlos because the ball just whistles and goes everywhere that's exactly what it's like at that level because this less oxygen so the balls are lighter there's been rumors before that Brazil international team have trained with volleyballs ahead of games in laaz like other nations feel like Bolivia shouldn't have a say or shouldn't be able to move stadiums which I don't know I think that's a little bit harsh because I was recently speaking to a Bolivian football journalist about this and he said well when the Bolivian players go and play out of the altitude that it's a knock on effect for them because the ball's heavier they struggle so it's a bit of it works either way but anyway that's another discussion Bolivia won 4-0 and now I think they really almost at the halfway stage in the qualifiers a couple of points on that seventh spot it would be really interesting I would love to see a World Cup in Bolivia it's obviously never going to happen but that's what I was thinking that would be like the only chance they'd ever get to probably win it but if we're going to go back to the Copper Club style there were two players on the score sheet in that 4-nil Victory who and for those who normally who don't normally tune into this particular podcast we look at South American gems and Bolivia aren't a nation to normally produce players now two players who were 20 within the well both featured and both scored in that game against Venezuela were currently at Santos uh Enzo Montero and migalo um who both performed in the cenia which at the start of every year is a a really valuable under 20 tournament where a lot of football clubs are trying to find the next best player players like estal andri will come from there and now there's two players here Montero and migalo who both play for Bolivia both scored and they look really exciting I don't know too much more about them from what I've seen in the Bolivian share so over to you Peter because I believe you've seen them a little bit more is is there one out of the two who's caught you ey more or are they both sort of aimed for a fairly decent career well it's a bit harder to say because I and Monto is actually just now kind of being in produc to the squad as uh I'm not really surprised he's kind of taken the route to choose Bolivia you know Brazil right now have a big influx of really good nines uh we have obviously pendrick C Alish is there vctor is there so that's just three of a couple of names thatan you could also throw in the mix because he's not someone I usually quote as a Winger but they have like a handful of nines that he's likely never going to slaugh ahead unless he takes a very big leap and that's why I suspect he's done what he's done and decided to play for Bolivia uh for Venezuela sorry but sorry no for Bolivia apologies apologies yeah mistake there but as you said like ke currently plays for Santos Santos it has to be noted that Santos currently playing Sera B I know a lot of people when they come back to Santos and say oh it's Santos club of P Club of Neymar you would immediately if you're not a regular Watcher of Brazil you'd say okay how are they fair and there are and you'd be surprised when know that they're in the Sera B but they did get get relegated last year so I'm not really surprised he's kind of been getting chances now that he's he's quite easily ripped up the under 20s and he was very good at the Capia as well albe it Santos weren't exactly kind of the side I expected them to be in a sense but he was still he was still very noticeable and the the reason he is very noticeable is actually I'd argue there's world class movement in him he's very well aware of kind of his surroundings I think is one of his best attributes and because he's aware of said surroundings he knows when to attack space went to drift just a little bit backwards just to attack like an open pocket of space that is there and the same goes for headers when he has to push off a Defender when he has to dive and try and and um make the most out of a certain whether it's dive with his foot inside or just dive with his header it doesn't matter it's all the same really as long as he gets on the ball and tries to to endanger the goal and that's a very very mature poachers Instinct that you you don't easily teach especially with young players and props to props to santus Academy the one thing I've always praised about them is the fact that because of their financial levels they can't really go too much into the market for very good expensive signings and this is why they kind of have to rely on on their Academy and at least producing one or two talents alone that can Elevate the first team now again he's not a starter he's he's just being introduced I believe his last game was actually against uh guash in end of August I'd say but that being said he he he will be there the reason I don't think you we'll see much of him this year unless like blck turns his way is that S at the end of the day are in Sera B in Sera B you kind of need more robust experienced players to actually get promoted and they do trust someone like Julio forche who's a very experiened striker in Brazil these days Al be it for Sera B level and I I highly doubt that we'll see much of him but when you when you kind of look at him at Youth Level especially I think he's now bagged above 20 goals on the 20s level you can tell he's a danger man like you can see it from the fact that whether he's not on the ball or whether he's on the ball it doesn't really matter the defenses always kind of have back like have him in the back of their minds and with regards to miguelito he's he's one that I think he now has about the 20 I'd like to say 20 senior experiences at seral level and yes it's largely like bleep tests minutes here and there that he can be introduced to but he has been kind of the the gem from the academy I'll be at not to the gem level of say someone like estal or VOR a couple of years ago so on and so on he's he's good he he sorry okay maybe I'm I'm now checking my notes and it's actually more than 10 apps but it doesn't really matter he still has more than 10 senior appearences to his name for three years which is nice you can see that he's he's balancing senior football with on largely under 20s football which is very good to see for him he's adjusting slowly usually for him he's more of a Midfield 10 type hybrid I'd say he's very technical very pleasing on the eye he also has a very good late box crashing Instinct like with him the thing I feel he relies upon a lot is actually his shooting and finishing ability Peach of fo like the the amount of times he can threaten the goal from 20 yards out is actually very very impressive and I know this is Brazil where people attempt shots from the halfway line with ease although 99% of the time those fail to actually hit the target but that's another story but he's he he's definitely one to to keep an eye on and I know that kind of again it's Sera B but if he gets a shot I feel he'll get more more out of kind of Santos right now they sit in second place I doubt they'll actually rely upon him as well as much but he is exciting and he is one to watch definitely like definitely and the fact that he's getting International experience with Bolivia I it's just unheard of really for some two good names to to come out of Bolivia at this sort of stage playing in Brazil like I said performing for SOS but that Sera B but performed in the cap as well and getting chances and they'll be looking at that seventh spot I don't know if it's achievable I'm a huge Bolivian fan of national team or the league itself so obviously I'll be rooting for them and do you know what whether other nations aren't happy that they've moved to L Alto well they probably would if they had that too so long may it continue let's see where they end up by the end of qualifying and they may have snapped up seventh spot before we move across to our Brazilian stories I just want to announce that Kevin hatchard will be returning to the podcast next week we will be debating a few South American players in Europe he'll be providing his predictions over the next 12 18 months for them but we will also dive into that that Saudi debate because there's so many South Americans now moving across the Saudi and every time I post about Saudi I get more comments than likes it's one of those debates so please do join us for that and if you enjoy the episode so far also subscribe across any platform you are listening to let's stay with the Brazilian theme because probably two transfers one confirmed one not but two transfers people are keeping an eye on at the Memphis Depay and Martial to Brazil moment and I don't know about you people I'm loving the fact that these players are moving across to South America back now before their careers are over it's brilliant I think it's showing how the league is progressing and I think outside in from a European audience won't really particularly know about the Brazilian league and feel like the quality may not be as good and obviously there's levels to it but we' seeing more and more players move back to Brazil we've had what Philip Philip coutinho Luis henrique joined from real bati but now probably the the biggest name in a long time if if ever is Dutch International on his way to being the all-time top top goal scorer for the ne Netherlands Memphis depai is on his way to Corinthians now Corinthians are are a big name in Brazil big name across the world when it comes to we think Brazilian football you're probably saying Corinthians in the top five or six but over recent years they've been battling for well in the last couple of seasons and this season still battling in around relegation they're not safe they're not challenge for titles at all so for depay to make the move across at the age of 28 29 is such a statement Simon not just for Corinthians but for Brazilian football and I think the only reason why they've been able to afford this if I'm going to sort of come up with a rumor or two is down to the fact that Wesley a huge Prospect has decided to move to Saudi Arabia and have' sold him for a decent chunk of money and have also reinvested that in duai it's a really interesting move it was one of those you see it on Twitter all the time and I just didn't know if it was true or not but the fact that he's moving across he can really Elevate the league to another level as it seeming seemingly doing it this isn't a oneoff and we'll get on to the other rumor soon but toay to Brazil as a player on the pitch they probably couldn't get much better could they p no especially the thing that surprised me is he joined Corinthians of all places like you you wouldn't have expected them because they're just not as good as other sides right now so the fact of the matter for them to pop up and sign someone of the Pi's level is actually it is a statement it is quite a huge statement for the league itself it's quite a huge statement for them as a club elevates you in a sense and I'm I never actually expected that to happen because I think it just popped out of the blue like I know Global have kind of being saying okay they're looking at this and this name but you never really expected it to materialize end of the day I seen teams linked to Carlos t almost in his prime nothing came out of it but I'm I'm I'm very impressed I am very impressed I'm lost for words in the sense because you don't they've pulled the rabbit out of the hat in a sense is it not and he and he becomes the second Dutch player to play in Brazil do you know who the other one is I'll tell I'll give you a few seconds for the audience but Sor played for bot Fogo at the end of his career so depay will only be the second Dutch player to move across and I saw someone's tweet around depay earlier which I want to sort of quickly touch upon because people could say and there's different opinions on depay because of his career and I think he goes to show it's all about timing as to like what could have been for him because people will look at his record at man united but he joined just what post a Fergy era when vanal was in charge and we all know how that went then he was unbelievable for Leon but this is when PSG was just dominating year after year he joins Barcelona Messi leaves and then he moves across to atletic Madrid and then Griezmann comes back six months later so like he's had an unfortunate career path even though like he's shown like especially in League one how how good he was and I think he was pretty solid at Barcelona and I can't say I kept too much of an eye on him last season but his highlight real from atleti is pretty strong as well and for him to move across before he's 30 I think this is a real statement signing the other rumor and I think this is quite interesting is Anthony martial to Flamingo now I'm not sure how far down the line This one is and I couldn't believe it when I was going through his Stats today because obviously I don't pay too much attention to man united he's been there nine years and that lone at Seville and obviously injuries have sort of played him and you can make excuses in that sense this does scream like a flamingo signing I'm not sure if you agree with me there Pia I I don't know if it's going to potentially work out the Brazilian schedule is insane in terms of what up to at the moment teams are playing up to like three games a week and important games in the latter stages of competitions is martial gonna go there and work his ass off I I I don't really see I don't expect it if anything I think he'll just take the advantage of but we have to take into account the fact that both of them are actually joining a place that s and Rio is just it's it's a fantastic place to live if you're rich and at the end of the day these these guys have enough money for to to afford a very lavish lifestyle which is fine by all means you worked absolutely for it throughout your life I mean go and enjoy your fun but and I'm not here say like martial has a questionable attitude I'm not his manager or anything of sorts to actually make that statement but it's where just a player character in on the football in Pitch we've known martial for not being like a tireless worker off the ball so on and so on and I feel for you to kind of adjust to Brazil you're going to need some work rate to be there like don't get me wrong but when you try and come in to replace someone like Pedro who for all his faults and the fights with uh salii and whatnot whatnot well sali's assistant sorry he's still kind of a very for Brazil top tier talent and or top tier player let's say and he works his socks off for for the benefit of the team like regardless of the situation and I feel as a direct replacement quote unquote Anthony martial would likely not be that and how Flamingo will adjust with him it's one where I feel more I'm excited to see him don't get me wrong but it's one where I feel more it's the name is there so and he's willing to join because of whatever situation there is why don't we test it out which is fine but as you brightfully pointed brightfully mentioned Brazil schedule was absolutely bad and every South American to like me country's schedule was mad and we'll get to that in a second I supect but for someone like martial who's struggled to adjust physically to Europe I suspect traveling say two 2,000 K kilometers to to play for example always ready or someone else in the libertadores and then coming back and having to play in sa Paulo against say Corinthians and just adjusting to a very vile crowd I know he'll adjust to it because he doesn't seem like someone who's going to be phased but P from a purely physical standpoint that will be a struggle it's it's not a holiday moving to Brazil is not like moving to Saudi so like part of me thinks good on you or good on anyone who goes for the challenge wants to grow the league but don't see it as a holiday cuz it's far from it if you want a Payday move to Saudi move to another club in Europe for example don't move to Brazil because that Flamingo crowd if you're not performing they will let you know no matter who G I was going to say just imagine imagine say okay he's joining Flamingo so I highly doubt this happens but imagine he was join exactly someone like Corinthians and say two months down the line the team is not performing well and they just stormed the training pitch and start demanding anwers the fans I mean just a couple of yeah exactly like you just know yeah William was booted out of the Corinthian squad for not being apparently good and they were labeling him finished and then he came back to the Premier League and looked okay which is just ironic it was great for f it was brilliant exactly um so yeah it's not for the fainthearted um before we move on from Brazil I think it's worth touching this insane story about Douglas Costa and you can make a lot of his career in terms of what Shaka Bayern uve on loan to Gro then went to LA Galaxy had a spell up flu menen which we spoke about when he signed and we we said at the time it's similar to what we've just said about martial in terms of I don't think he's going to enjoy the schedule and the demanding start of play and he obviously didn't a lot of it he was quote unquote injured whether that was true or not I don't know if I buy it well his moves across to Sydney so we will talking about doing articles about that moving across to the a league quite an unusual move for him but the thing is he's not just join Sydney because he's also for some reason uh began an only fans account I'm not sure what you've seen about this is quite good because he's put out two statements one statement was very PR and the other one was not PR the pr one was I've decided to join only fans because I believe in the company's credibility and potential for a global reach there's your PR answer and then his next response was I just want to make fans happy I'm I don't think I want to know what sort of content Douglas K is going to be putting out there but this is a shining example of a player who had almost The World At His Feet whether he was overhyped or not and he's just his career spared out of control and he's almost he's clearly after some sort of payday or some funds but I I've never seen this before and then it was another thing which I another story sorry that I saw on Twitter I was like this can't be real this can't be real but I would if I had to guess a player who was probably going to open and only fans I think Douglas Costa at some point would have been in my guesses even if we' got to 20 or 30 names but Peak Brazil have fun in Sydney I will not be subscribing Douglas Costa but I'm sure you'll have a few other people talking about crazy Huachipato's back-to-back games + Colombia's worst team schedules now some people may have seen this one already but this one was quite bizarre in terms of the Chilean Champions Hai Pau had two games on Sunday back to back they played o Higgins in the league and then Imperial uro uro we'll go with that Imperial Oro in the cup now that's because of how busy their schedule has been and with the cup progressing to the further round haachi Pau were actually behind now that because they were in the same copper libertadores group as Gro now as we know from the podcast and talking about GMO there was horrific floods in the south of Brazil this year which meant that lots of games were suspended Hai Pau with gemo was one of those the libertad O group stage didn't finish I think till two weeks after the draw for The Knockout stages had been met but obviously this has a huge knock on effect with domestic football as well now fans this in theory it was a good good afternoon because the fans could enter the ground for one game and watch both so they got to watch The League game and then the cup game now they put the under 20s and Reserve players out for the cup game because it was the second leg they were already winning that 2-1 now they won the leag game one nil against o Higgins a nice goal in I think it was within the first 100 seconds so fans probably thinking going to get my money's worth here but then that was the only goal of the afternoon SL evening because it finished one one nil against o Higgins and then nil nil against Imperial in the cup now I I can't remember I've done a bit of digging and I think there was a Scottish game once where those back-to-back games but I don't think I've ever seen that before the main reason why I wanted to highlight that is because it's Peak South America yes but in between the European International window uh man City's Bernardo Silva has come out and he was uh complaining about the lack of days off he's going to have over the next three to four week period because City schedule is too busy so Silva if you are listening it could be worse because if you were playing in Chile you may be having to play backto back matches now we're going to sign off the podcast talking quickly about we're going to do a round up at the end for maybe a team or a fixture to keep an eye on for for this weekend and dived into the Colombian Top Flight now they have a team called jaguares D Cordova who are currently bottom of the league they've played eight they've lost all eight and they haven't scored a goal now they're 20th and they're playing uh envigado who are 19th they've only won one this season so that's your 20th 30th 19th Clash this weekend everyone was excited about Sarina versus lichenstein and then lichenstein versus jalter this is the equivalent which is going on in Colombia at the moment now I've done a little bit of digging as to see what is is going on here and jaguares the Cordoba are almost the the Watford of Colombia I've come up with because they've had three managers already between April until now Julia Mendes Nester cravioto Edgar carow is currently the man in charge and they've all lasted those the first manager Mendes four games uh Nestor lasted five and carow is on three and I've gone back and watched the highlights of the last three games and in the last game against America diar where they lost one nil in the last minute which was quite sad to see from a penalty there was 12 minutes of highlights and they didn't show one in favor of jaguares so there's plenty of problems going on in Colombia at the moment but that is the game to watch if you are listening to this podcast looking for a match to watch in the early hours of Saturday morning it's jaguares versus enardo 19th versus 20th in Colombia something has to give at some point San Marino can be the inspirers to get them over the line or even get them a goal because so far it has been pretty bleak for them we'll leave it there for this week hopefully you've enjoyed the Roundup of stories we will be back within the next few weeks with more Tales from South America Peter thank you for your Insight yeah thanks Nate as always just a
