[Music] what's going on jeromes in about a week the Mota finding Vikings as well as the other 31 teams that don't matter around the National Football League will be trimming their 90-man roosters down to 53 and a practice squad but quacy churnin and buron still making moves and the major one officially official officially uh the Viking signing gilak Stefan Gilmore one-year deal 10 million worth up to 10 million bucks 7 million guaranteed and instantly transforms uh the Vikings defense and hey despite what all the haters and the losers and the Tua say Brian Flores he's our guy man all right so Stefan Gilmore it's a great signing man and it just shows that the Vikings are definitely going for the pin this year uh and I love that quacy is indeed cooking and making some moves here and there also uh another move the Viking signed wide receiver Return Man Justin Hall and a corresponding roster moves uh they waved puncher Seth Vernon as well as wide receiver Ty James now putting a coda on James and Vernon so Tai James uh along with his uh college teammate Devon Harper were brought in as the Mercer Bears contingent as the Vikings udfas Harper was let go early and Tai James I know Tai James just never really found his footing yeah can't really recall any Splash plays that he made at training camp but you wishing him the best he was a record setting FCS receiver uh but sort of threw me cuz he wor number 40 uh and it's just like why is Klein saucer out there I don't know man but like I said wishing him the best Seth verton was an interesting name udfa in 2022 out of Portland go Portland State go Vikings uh and I I mean initially like he was shown some flashes man because he was just booting them 65 70 yards but also there's a lot of other soft skills and intangibles that go into punting like just try not to out KCK your coverage that's where the the the phrase comes from uh and Ryan Wright the cumbent was great his rookie year in 2022 2023 not not so much but has gotten things together plus it's noteworthy that Vernon I I don't believe had any holding um snaps with rard and doollo so I I think that this uh this competition was predetermined uh but Seth Vernon uh now is gone and Ryan Wright has won the punting competition uh but the receiver they signed Justin Hall so he's interesting man so he put up some numbers at Ball State back in the day you know fiveyear player uh 4250 career yards from scrimmage both as a receiver and a running back plus what was great as a punt and kick returner uh took a kick to the house his senior season in 2021 undrafted uh in 2022 uh but spent a cup of coffee in Camp with the Raiders and then he caught on with the UFL 47 catches 515 yards four touchdowns in his one season with the Houston rough necks uh so it's kind of surprising given his versatility as well as a special teams prowess that he wasn't on a 90-man roster but now I I I I don't think that he's going to be able to do enough in a week to justify a obviously a 53 man spot but even just a a practice squad spot but you know same thing with Matt carral just getting some some good practice tape and Reps maybe he gets in the preseason game against the Eagles getting that on tape G is going to give him a chance with some of the other teams down the line some of the other practice squads as well as if the Vikings you know Turn and Burn on the practice squad they definitely have Justin Hall in mind same thing with Matt caral so love to see the Vikings still getting after things uh and never satisfied hey you if you can improve number 90 on the 90 man roster do it uh if you improve number 16 on on the practice squad or 53 on the 53 do it so I love what qu's doing here but of course the the Crown Jewel Gilly lock Stefan Gilmore let's go baby that's right uh but your thoughts are thoughts uh Vikings make a couple of moves uh let us know your thoughts our thoughts comment section below subscribe for daily Vikings Takes One support the work put a little something in the VMA but until next time skull production value
