hey guys this is Jimmy from primerus best I'm going to show you some pictures of a truck that I sure do miss it's a 1975 Chevy C10 truck uh that we called Sky SK K ye Sky because is about the same color as the sky we had a name contest and uh y'all chose sky for the the name of the truck okay I'm going to tell you a little bit of history about it cuz I I've had some new subscribers and uh first of all I want to say thank you to gm38 on YouTube his name is Brian his dad Charlie and uh Tim Dixon Corey whan and all those folks that have helped me here comes my plane can you believe it every video anyway uh I want to thank those those folks for helping me to get this truck back going again and giving it a thought it was going to crash into the house uh want to thank those folks for helping me to get this truck back up on its feet after setting for I think it's 15 or 18 years uh the truck was located in uh my my friend GM 1038 his name is Brian you need to subscribe to his Channel gm38 and Tim Dixon is on Facebook just type in a gas ax Chop Shop gas ax Chop Shop on Facebook and I'm sure you'll see videos and pictures of not only that truck I've used to own but uh other trucks Tim's done Tim does all my metal work and and more he done a great job on that truck I congratulations I mean or an order for Tim and Brian and all those folks that have helped me okay the truck was from Oakridge Tennessee it been setting for years like I said is 15 or 18 years it's Set uh when you see the pictures it does not have a tailgate and you can see uh it was in the winter time so I mean but in the summertime you know the weeds was all grown up around it and it set beside a garage it was bought brand new I think in Oakridge or oxville ten and it was owned by I think it was a dentist I had all the paperwork to it in the glove box another fell got it bought the truck from the dentist and it only had like a I want to say like 105,000 actual miles something like that and uh the guy that bought the truck from the dentist uh he he was going to take the motor out of it as a 354 bolt Main and put it in a dirt track car and uh my friend Brian once again he come to the rescue and he saved it well he asked my wife and I if we'd like to run over there with him and pick it up he'd sent me some pictures of it and I already had it in my head that I was wanting to buy this truck from Brian so we went over there and we rode with him in the same truck you know pulling a trailer and uh we picked up the truck and uh got it onto the trailer and was on our way back home to Brian's Garage GM 1038 and um in between that ride which is probably about an hour or so give or take uh I talked him out of the truck so I wound up buying the truck from him before he ever got it even home but him and his dad got the truck uh running runs ran great and uh got it going good they they have a knack for mechanics and everything else so uh after they got it up and going you'll see pictures of it at GX Chop Shop in 10mile Tennessee so you know had it had it hauled over there I put some better wheels and tires on it than what was on it they look similar but they're actually better wheels and tires that I had here at home so we put it on there and uh as you get to watching the pictures you'll see the transformation it was a it start it didn't have a tailgate so somehow I come up with a red tailgate and put it on there and then I bought a wreck the truck that became Billy James my 78 C10 truck uh Brian and Tim both was saying don't fix Billy James the 78 I I still have it they said don't fix it it's it's going to cost too much money and is way too beat up anyway so I took the tailgate off of Billy James and put it on Sky the 75 so uh you'll see the tailgate change and uh Brian had some old exhaust tips if you if you just kind of watch the pictures carefully you'll see the transformation he had some old exhaust tips that he gave me and I had Tim weld him on Tim C notched it you know flipped the axle C notched it lowered it for me I got my favorite wheels that I always put on most of my trucks uh C10 trucks from Ronnie Toler in Madisonville Tennessee uh American Racing torque thrust Chrome I call it Chrome it's aluminum chrome wheels and uh man that a good truck it that thing just run good like it's one of them I could show at the key and it would just start I mean it was just ready to go I got the AC fixed on it had AC power steering power brakes and uh it was in remarkably good shape I mean actually I guess CA it just set so uh got that fixed I had the motor detail the engine compartment and all that I mean it looked good it looked real good and I was real proud of that truck but uh if you watch my channel a while primered is best which is what you're watching now you know that sooner or later I sell my stuff so I did I sold that truck and I sold five vehicles to Rob pits now you might know Rob Pitts from YouTube his name on YouTube is rabbits used cars rabbits used cars uh we had been talking on the phone for a while and uh he decided he wanted to come down and look at my vehicles I had I said you know I'd sell them he bought it and uh my 62 imp palaw my 07 Chevy truck coffee 78 GMC truck Shannon that's the names of them and another one oh my goodness what was the other one anyway I'm trying not to make my videos long anyway he bought all those and uh so my wife's looking at me grinning I guess she thought I was talking to myself but Mrs pib so I thought well I'll uh anyway he bought five vehicles from me golly I wish I could think of the other one anyway it it's of no matter I'm talking about the 75 C10 truck Sky down so uh he bought all those and you'll see pictures at the end at the end of the video of where he's got it and uh he's he's really liking a patina on it I left all the places on the truck bare metal that Tim Dixon had fixed there was quite a few things that Tim fixed uh rockers and typical places for a round dyed square body Chevy or GMC truck Tim done a great job I'm so proud to have him and Brian and Charlie and all those folks for my friends but uh anyway that was a good truck and I I was just thinking about it today and I thought well I'll do a quick little video if you are new to the channel maybe you know who's got the truck now I don't know where it's at last I heard about the truck I think it might be somewhere out west I'm not sure I'm sorry I'm shaking guys it's cold out here I'll try to do better but uh if you know where the truck's at just kind of let me know I'd like to know if it's still alive and well you know had had exhaust put on it and everything I mean it was just one of those trucks that you run across every once in a while that was wanting to come back to life and that oh my goodness I miss that truck so bad but you can't keep them all and I can't keep the channel going unless I do sell something you know and get something new so I guess that maybe that's my mission is to get old Chevys and GMC trucks and get them back on the road instead of being junked or scrapped or smushed or whatever people do with them sometimes but anyway I hope you enjoyed the videos uh the pictures and uh you know maybe it'll bring back memories I have lots of videos on this truck we put penetrol on it man that was a sharp truck boy I wish I had that back but like I said I can't keep the channel going if I keep the same old stuff A lot of times so and uh I don't ever advertise on Marketplace or anything like that I don't advertise nothing people just contact me and uh you know they'll say hey would you like to sell your truck and a lot of times that's how I sell them is through you know somebody make a comment you know from watching my YouTube videos and I'm an honest person I don't never tell any lies about anything I I be as truthful the Lord is watching me and I have to I'm a truthful person so people I think realize that so um I'll tell you everything I know about the truck or car whatever I happen to be somebody's asking about it last several years it's been trucks so uh hope you enjoy the video and if you like this kind of stuff uh let me know I have get to that point but uh right now I'm trying to find an engine and transmission for it and I've got videos on it no name yet and uh you know I've got a 66 Chevy C10 truck as of this video I don't
