all of the content that will be available through the Hulu Hub so we're getting in there American Sports story The Return of gry's anatomy plus a whole host more there's a load of stuff coming in on the Hulu side that's really kind of um the strong side for me personally especially internationally but yeah there's lots of great stuff incl I think that's like tell me um Lies Season 2 load of great stuff but let me know what you're looking forward to watching on Disney Plus in September in the comments below shifting gears now um You might remember last week I spoke about Disney was going to court over a wrongful death lawsuit that was taking place at the Ragland Pub in Disney Springs in Walt Disney World and now someone unfortunately died from an allergy to nuts in Dairy and her family are then putting in a lawsuit however Disney lawyers indicated that they um were trying to fight the actual case because they said that because the person signed up to a Disney Plus free trial years ago they actually agreed to terms the service that they actually couldn't go to court they had to go to arbitration now this courau on all over the place people this this story just blew up when completely viral as you as it should cuz it's disgusting what Disney lawyers tried to do here was really really bad and it's absolutely backfired and as you might expect Disney PR's kind of coming and went whoa whoa whoa okay we're going to waiver our thing for this to go to um arbitration they want to let it go to court put a little statement saying that that's going to be the case I mean personally I do think that really in this case this is probably not going to be held liable anyway because they are literally the landlords of of the land that the property's on they don't actually run the restaurant they don't hire the staff or anything like that so where the blame comes onto them I can see why they tried to fight it but I just think some overzealous lawyer found a loophole and tried to use it and probably the executives and everybody else were like what the hell is going on here that's my personal take on it I you know cuz as I said you know it's a big company they're not going to know everything that's going on you know all the executives in the big swees and all the people from Disney plus but yeah big problem for Disney plus big problem for Disney World looks like they're now just going to let it go to court let it do its thing again you know this this was a tragic accident and hopefully the family get looked after but yeah so the the kind of in some ways the good thing is now is going to go to court and Disney aren't going to try and use some stupid Disney Plus subscription thing to get out of this particular case it was diabolical what was going on but nevertheless you can see that I'm wasn't happy with Disney on that one but I'm glad that they've Rel done it but again too little too late they probably should have done this much much quicker rather than going straight onto the def offensive but I'm sure once they saw the reaction from people over the weekend that's when they decided to change their mind but let me know what you think of this in the comments below shifting gears now if you're a fan of inside out too good news it's out now on digital platforms you can buy it um obviously it'll be coming to Disney Plus at some point soon but Disney does tend to like putting them out in digital platforms first to make people buy it to make some more Mula you know the S really the biggest movie of the year but they want a little bit more from it so um when we might see it on Disney Plus might be September I wouldn't be surprised if it was it's coming out on DVD and Blu-ray in September so that would kind of line up or they could even hold on to it a little bit longer and trying to get more digital sales more uh DVD sales and just really push that aspect I think we've seen them do it with Indiana Jones we saw them do it with wish I'm not expecting them to be rushing inside out too but it could be one of those big releases for September as well but who knows I mean I I wouldn't even be surprised if they held on to it until Thanksgiving but nevertheless let me know if you're looking forward to watching Inside Out 2 again at home love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below got a great question here in reference to yesterday's news that the acolyte had been canceled with happy trailer reactor saying question should influencers control what gets cancelled on Disney plus so I think this is not necessarily the fact of um influencers can't get it cancelled you know one influencer on its own talking about a show isn't going to have much impact but there is going to be some influence fun and that's why they're called influencers of if you have 100 of them 200 of them 300 and they've all got a large large audience that's when it can start spreading and start getting out of it now there is no doubt that Disney and especially Star Wars is in a weird weird place now because there is a load of channels that are literally just churning out um hate and just they just hate everything and that's all they do is they just create stuff about everything that Disney doesn't do right and just keep Haring on about everything like that now Disney does make mistakes Disney does do stuff that's stupid and questionable you I literally the second story today was literally that whole thing of them doing something that they shouldn't do um but I I personally feel like you know you should be able to praise what's good and also criticize what is wrong and I think that's a fair and balanced way of looking at it um but yeah influencers can have it now there's a lot of big talk about the acolyte we especially over the last um 24 hours of like the toxic community and all the rest of it I think it's a weird space right now I mean especially as well online um Twitter Etc is not always real it's just a micro Eco and it's just an echo chamber kind of thing and you it can just kind of spread around there and people think that that's what's going on and it sometimes can be seen bigger than it actually is now I saw a I saw thousands of posts yesterday about the acolyte e going either way and there's just I mean there's no doubt about it the acolytes viewership was so low that therefore that is a major reason why it's not gone forward because just people weren't tuning in now there could be number of reasons for that it could be that they were influenced by other people into not watching it and like that was one way of doing it this is why we put out reviews and why we get things but early to try and basically influence you to the idea of whether we like it or not those don't always work CU sometimes you get stuff that comes through and it's awful and we will tell you yeah I especially do um but yeah so there is that whole element to it but also there's a whole load of people that are angry about the cancellation and they're all just clashing on social media and it's just one big mess and let's be honest there's going to be something that will happen in the next few days and most of this will be forgotten and moved on but there's a lot of there's a lot of sadness about the cancellation of the acolyte but there's also a lot of people cheering it on I'm not I'm not really in either of those camps um I understand why it's been cancelled I get why Disney has canceled it from from a financial point of view and from a business point of view I would have liked to see more of it I thought the villain in there and the way they left it this show had something that they could have done something with it but it needed some tweaks and I definitely feel that that is something that with the show that it would have been nice to see it carried on but I completely understand the business reason why it wasn't and why it's maybe best for them just to kind of knock this program on the head and just kind of move on and get on with it because I think Lucas film as a whole and I did a whole like 10-minute video yesterday about it and I don't want to get into one cuz it really just rattle me up because Star Wars is so great you know I've been a fan since you know since I think I think my parents took me to see like Return of the Jedi when it first come out and I had loads of figures and stuff I am a huge Star Wars fan always have been and I always will be um and there are aspects of that new show that I did like there was aspects I didn't like but I could say the same for all of the Disney plus series and no matter what they put out I will check it out but um ultimately you know the acolyte the influence of that I think it's it's felt probably much more because it's been much more vocal about the acolyte but also it can go the other way cuz while that had got a lot of attention about the acolyte it can go if there's no discussion of a series it can go the other way where there's there no influence going on no one talking about it and it could die just from the fact of nobody being interested but very difficult very tricky influencers again have an influence on it all but any one particular one probably doesn't have any particular power you know start putting them together and there's a train of thought of going with it um it can be powerful but again social media is not real it doesn't always reflect what's really going on there's lots of bots in there people that will just that especially on X Etc you know they are just churning up hatred because hatred gets more clicks gets more um money basically they if they especially if they're getting getting paid for stuff that's the thing you've always got to be careful of with social media especially is trying to drive in negativity gets much more money than positivity and that's the one thing everyone needs to be aware of if you see something negative and you want to respond to it that's worked that got exactly what they wanted out of you and that's something to be aware of with social media if you scroll by something that is really nice and cute maybe a nice puy thing it might work a bit better but if you find if there's some good news you will more than likely not react not click and move on and that is why negativity works so well on social media because the entire platform is built around engagement and around money and that's where it all comes from so just be aware of that in general when on social media no matter what always always question you know why does this person keep like engaging in negativity more than often than not it's because they're profiting from it and they just want that engagement that that love of like people listening to them because again if you put out something that you really like it you're very likely not going to get that same reaction but let me know what you think of all this in the comments below go check us out over at whatson Disney plus.com if You' got a great question pop in and I'll answer one tomorrow and on that note guys thank you very much see you guys soon later [Music]
