ULM vs. Jackson State Postgame - General Booty / Ahmad Hardy

uh coach V just told us um just keep the same mentality um I fought for my spot just like everybody else fought for their spot and it would just do my job and we going to make some mistakes and just keep going I uh jumped outside one time but like he said every play we just keep going every play and we got the job done and got the W yeah they had a couple big gaps and then sometimes I uh I missed the read but I got back though but they had some pretty good Gap they did uh pretty good up uh up front but sometimes we had a little a little um pressure but we uh handled it all good performance no it was really solid uh solid performance offensively I thought up front we did a really good job early on they came out um they pushed them back we were able to establish the Run game which helped uh me and the pass game for sure and made things more clear but overall I thought we did a really solid job obviously a lot to clean up being the first game uh but we'll get in here tomorrow and worry about that a little more people expect how you feel about running the ball think something in your game that you're good at yeah no they showed us some stuff that you know we we weren't uh ready for or hadn't been game planning against and uh that was some of the answers or one of the answers to uh trying to beat them that way and if I can use my feet to help uh the offense definitely will I don't mind running the ball for sure this team pull guys together to get this first season yeah no U definitely brings a lot of energy on game day which I love and uh you know we worked really hard going back till January some of those guys uh since the summertime since we've been here and so there wasn't much stress coming in the game day uh we played the games in our mind uh and he prepared us the right way so we knew we were ready uh to go out there and at that point it was just go out there and do our best and and and play our butt off oh it was awesome that was awesome U it was it was a great feeling obviously just to get things get things going first touchdown of the game U but it was a fun win that setting up theou your of feel um it was just something I was supposed to do so you know I celebrated a little bit but M more to come so we just trying to each week just get better and go over what we uh messed up and get better and get the W every week this war it was it was pretty cool obviously it was a little different today with the rain delay got out there a little bit later we took the field we we claimed the field uh as you guys saw us out there and you know you saw the storm the the clouds rolling in the back uh the storm was blowing through it was kind of a cool scene um and then obviously the fans showed up even though it was raining it was lightning it was delay it was pushed back so to see the fans the community still show up anyways uh was really encouraging and then once we went out there and the game started taking the first snap uh hearing the crowd everyone into it it was it was really awesome
