uh last year I think you finished second nationally for for Touchdown catches by a tight end what made you such a consistent player throughout last year and think had six the year before too oh yeah so just uh my preparation just having good preparation and then obviously a great game plan that coach Lashley brings and he uh he brings the best out of my talents uh just setting me up for Success what makes smu's offense tip I think you guys are the only program in the country that's averag 35 points a game each of the last five season uh just uh the game plan really that that that's where it starts and then the Personnel we have just setting up every player to be in their best spot to make a play so coach Lassie has been doing a great job at that then having Preston back this year coming off the injury how much does that mean to it's great Preston's a great quarterback and so I can't wait to get on get back on the field with him and just start making plays what is that the dynamic like with Preston and Kevin they're both here this this week um what are the differences between the two guys oh yeah they're they're they're they're definitely different quarterbacks they're both good quarterbacks what they do but um like pressing Preston he's he's definitely good uh just making making something out of nothing he can a lot of the touchdowns that I I've had he just he just like found me just somewhere and uh he's he's great at doing that and then with like Kevin he uh he's got he's got a special arm so he he can really get out there and just launch that ball deep and he can throw it at different types of arm angles and so they're they're both good at what they do they're just different what has coach Lashley said the things that you need to do to take your game to the next level now that you know you're stepping up in conference to so yeah with the just with my body just getting a little bigger um around 235 24ish now and so just being able to do that that that's where it starts and then obviously with Coach wood and stuff our offensive coordinator and tight endend coach just working on footwork good footwork and then just becoming a mean nasty blocker you you played as a freshman it's hard sometimes for tight ends to get on the field as freshman what what enabled that for for you and how hard is it to play a developmental position well uh right away so it was it was a little difficult at first cuz I just I just I was little yeah had to get a lot bigger what was your size PR from me so I got to campus like 200 lb probably yeah and then by when the season started I was probably two 217 I think is what I was listed at and so yeah just I just I found a way under the field mostly because the way I catch the ball and run and just being a playmaker in that that sense but um yeah and then uh we had a tight end that got hurt too and I I already I already started a game before that but that that just kind of pushed me that's when I knew I had to step my level up play
