oh [Music] hi my name is Yan Mara I'm a para athlete competing at the par Olympics for desus um my classification is f44 meaning lower limb deficiency um so I was born with a club foot on my right um so I have no muscle or movement in my right ankle um you're my first par Olympics the excitement I can't handle it like I received my kit yesterday so everything is starting to feel real starting to get emotional now so I'm very excited can't wait till the day that we fly out um so I started with javelin in 20 end of 2017 my career started um and then when I got to University in 2019 um that's when I met my coache um and that that's also the time the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics was held and I did research and saw that there's no Javelin for my class so that's when I switched to discus um so I think mentally for the Paro Olympic Games now um I'm just going to enjoy it um I had an interview with huj a few days ago and I said to the to the guy that I'm just going to enjoy it and he said to me that a soldier doesn't show up to a fight without a gun so I was like okay this gives me A New Perspective to look at the LMP games so now I'm definitely going out there to fight to get in the top eight um but on the day you know anything can happen if I walk away with a medal I mean why not day
