start trying to play too much rather than sort of vary it with little kicks and whatnot you can play into the hands of the defense if they keep holding you out see how the St FR defense holds up they managed to really do that well and set up the space here and look at the Chase from towi as he just drags the attack in and if he had made that there was real real TR scoring opportunity of course maoo was just on the outside Tom Lombard next to la Marty um yeah they you've got maoo on the outside you've also got leester and two good players who uh can definitely finish off a phase of very slick in the way they play their rugby you can see that St FR been shaken up having conceded 90 points on the road to clamon and to lose honestly um they were not good outings for the men in pink and G gazelle he'll know that and this is why they need to just make sure that one their defense is good and then two they take advantage of the possessions but not look look shaky when they're scoring points because they'll be well aware that just a matter of weeks ago Bion was in a similar position when they came up to Jean buan St Jean buan and took off to a lead and stud fron just ended up grinding them down grinding them down the crowd came more and more into the game that can so easily happen so they're far from comfortable here bordo it's a little deaf chip over the chot nicely done the options are there pass the ball out to the right that should have gone out to the right there were two players waiting to take the pass anyway they keep on going oh it's all opened up that is thought luuk was going to wait a little bit longer and hold off but here's kot from the next phase going right into that same spot where he felt there was a weakness and it could have gone previously to try and get past the big man of course but if he gets me you know I'm going to be grounded well you don't run straight at him and in saying that there's a fair bit to go round as well so it was quite a long run he had to go on just to get through the Gap and Tamer gave it his best once he was beaten no one else was there to cover zor SS for the charge down too big Ben got to go for it well that was the the dink over the chop there much in picking up of course and I like this so aware isn't he he's so aware of what he's doing you know and everybody's looking to thinking that he's going to just uh get the pass [Applause] [Music] out clearence kick picks it up in his own half around the outside steering himself away from danger finds a gap goes down down at the halfway line luku jalab think or outside Center with the oh it's just a little bit of spillage there and jalab trying to snap it it maybe moving it a little bit too quickly you know at those moments you really need a bit of composure yeah well I think he did see the opportunity it was a it was good play from Ben of course defense sees a big man like that get the ball they're going to stop they're going to get themselves prepared for the contact and he just shifted it on nicely Jal be knew he had poo looming up on his inside and I think he just got a little bit of ahead of himself which is very easily done but they really look potent when they're moving that ball bordo at the moment like I said before though St France will just hang in there work their way off the crowd's passion as well and just stick around in the game and and end probably end stronger they' back themselves to end stronger every game I'm sure particularly teams coming to jum R scrum in the uh in the first 17 minutes of this encounter as cck cot gets it out set gons Miss pass and that's gone down into the corner there easily collects and easily commits to the kick clearance yes but a good gain from St fron just moving it out just those couple of long passes what that does is has the effect of bringing the the open side Winger right up cuz he's got to get up in the defensive line pushing the fullback across no real option there if you get a good kick down deep there's no real option except to find touch and the gain from stad fron being probably what 20 30 m and they get [Music] possession perfectly taken B gabri support players there charging through this time is that man H Goen frustration there from St fron they were well in control of that ball but just probably did it a little bit too well Down The Blind Side and and got isolated St Fon which led to the attack on on the ball by Bordeaux Hab kufner just going almost too well getting forward that's a pretty good kick isn't it just into the 22 at the stad frona and there's H going so that was the that was the moment just got his hands on it that was enough for the referee to actually blow his whistle and very frustrating as you said for stad fron it was a really good first clean or first arrival at the breakdown from Bordeaux there I didn't see who it was but they got right underneath the St fron cleaner and very very tough at that point to move someone if you can't get underneath them well lad goes long and it's been picked up by evaly down the line Marin hamwi and Leo Barry and the ball's spilled out of their hands that's surely a knock on moment that you actually have a player like Daman penno you know you find yourself in a very good position there you go there's the four extra players here penno's coming out on the outside of course that's just uh got carted around good strong uh drive and push there from the Alo Emil brothers and naldi in the middle and a penalty going St from se's way seon one of uh the fine parts of his his all came in early from the clean line out take through to it surge after surge good break or half break from the Midfield Wards little pass Marshon got them on the front foot they kept going and then just too tough for big Kane Douglas to get out and Link with the outside Defenders and sigon running into a big hole good team try from St fron nothing too flashy just Relentless go forward and the pressure on the bordo defense start contrast to what they try to produce against clemon and and Stat to Lan of course it didn't help with a uh the player that left the field against clemon but the scenario a little bit different here tonight the extras are good for Sig got 14 points to eight they move ahead for the very first time [Music] [Applause] [Music] big hit there coming in and that was excellent from Peno he comes up so quick doesn't he he scores a try every 54 minutes Daman penno oh spillage you got to be careful did it go backwards was it's been picked up by Handa he's back on the pitch as a Leo Barry clearance who does really well and kicks it to the 22 that was very close very dangerous not what St Fon really wanted they just wanted a clean exit there they've scored two tries and 14 points in a row and they've just work their way back into the the match and it's been oneway traffic in the last 15 minutes through possession and territory the last thing they need is unforced whoever takes what You' got to make sure that you're on the right side so that the uh the defensive team has got access to the player who takes the ball before he hits the deck and then afterwards you can uh you can you can swim for it yeah it's it's a question of attention to detail and discipline of course manag to get that in well that is quite impressive there from Peno I thought he was actually in a you know on the wrong side of the the line but uh super smart play there from luku Jal from pen I mean ball coming out opportunity M oh a sneaky little play comes off the foot Manos tamwe spins needs a little bit of support has it with Moana look who picks it up now they go moving charge coming through this time from that man lad luu jaler BTO Muna stays on his feet finally goes down Moses Alo ail bringing him down jalar this time mof wonderful pass into the hands of the everpresent Bastian van inching closer and closer towards the 5 meter line here's diabi good strong charge there coming in from that man as well nice pass surely if it comes out they've got players and that is just a knock on from jalb and it will be a scrub for stad F major frustration and a concern with the big man Ben toaa down on the ground with a bit of an injury once again it was fairly easily read that Big Ben tmy fer was lining up a run he came off a lot better last time here's this catch from poo it's an absurd rule but that is the rule so long as you land in the field and you weren't touching the ground outside the line you can do that but it's crazy anyway little bit fortuitous there for bordo as well as they came flying up field through Tumo and the big run eventually from Tommy fer this time he's come off second best because they lined him up and there've been some good physical hits coming in from St fron in the last few minutes golden opportunity squandered by Balo that one there I'm surprised actually jaly Bear's got really good awareness good presence of mind to read the defense and adjust his pass and I thought he might have thrown that ball behind Kane Douglas very very easy to see from the angle that we had Robbie of course but y he's normally pretty good at identifying those chances and hitting the right [Applause] player it's just the question regarding um you know players of the modern era and players from you know just a you know a few years ago when you play long ago I haven't that up very well have I the chocolatine on tour people are back um what about the uh The Backs spinning into tackles with that something that happened in the past no not so much you would you just T to sort of run forward but yeah just to avoid the the strong hits that that players get so so much as good pressure coming on from Bordeaux but that'll I think result in a 22 Dropout not a goal line for for stud fron but yeah I think it's just a result of the the the dominant hits that are so prevalent these days um and just trying to get any kind of way to deflect that hit bounce around it so you don't take a square shot from a Defender that it's you know any means necessary really well they've moved it quickly seu seu Mako is taking the ball up it's Rory coot he's on the ground you got to release the tackle player and uh well it's been taken out that's going to be a penalty for stad fron because you release the player when it any when his when his body is on the ground when there's anything lower than the knee on the ground and that was the case there sometimes hard for the tackers to know I'm not trying to make excuses for anyone but there didn't seem to be a lot of loud communication from the referee there and and I think it was who was in there making a tackle was it no was it tumay in there making the tackle I suspect he probably didn't hear the call he can't be sure expect the you shouldn't expect you shouldn't wait for the referees I guess sometimes they're not sure if knees have touched the ground and they still fighting to the ball for the ball until they sort of get told otherwise it's worked in St France's favor though and you know you're right you got to there's got to be a point where players have got to let the let the ball carrier go Ian you would have done it in your Hey Day right I certainly would been there in the first place I was very quick to let the ball carry go I'd let him go right through the line that's why I was loved by by opposition crowds contribute to the spectacle keeping everybody happy eh here's evaldi evaldi is a little touch has been swatted down but it's been picked up and taken forward there by Bastian Val had a fantastic game the former colier player 16th start tonight big high kick hitched high up into the sky wonderful take there from that man Barry who's been very strong he's on the ground and oh it's a penalty well dragged across the ground unable to release the ball I think there was a couple of things that you could pick up on that uh uh defensive play almost looked like he was saying that Ben tap didn't didn't roll away as the tackler but little bit unlucky perhaps bordo but there are moments like that where you know you can make a difference by really choosing your moments picking your battles of when you think there is a realistic chance rather than go for everything but was fairly good play there at the end just illegal just illegal only problem there illegal 148 two tries to one and what we got eight minutes remaining in the first half stad fron um looking a lot more just just looking a little bit sharper uh compared to the last two outings the clemont debacle and then of course the uh well the embarrassment down in too it's maoo takes the ball forward he won't let go of it he needs a little bit of support uh there's van who's been just caught on the wrong side there but uh no ping tackle is another problem with tatfu needs to be careful you need to get out of there nicely done little change of Direction but uh there back into the heavy teammate Hami he was good taking the line out from maoo they looked like they were just sitting up the mall and he burst through the middle there they are a lot better they're looking a lot more dangerous St fron when they are just direct when they are just physical and bruising oh this a pickup that is a valdi if he can get a good angle he tries to get past luku ball comes out that's a knock out was absolutely awful right over the top I mean valdi will take that every day of the week look at that you need to get the call right maoo probably got in the way of uh of of of Kane Douglas of course who was the jumper on that occasion and then afterwards you know it Spooks a hooker when you see a play going up for the same you know for the same ball at the same time when you've had a dir of possession like bordeau has in the last 10 15 minutes that you really can't afford to be giving up those opportunities just to secure position and use the ball Tatu off the back the Japanese
