cheetah craft so this is the latest update from the National Hurricane Center 4: a.m. update for you Max sustained winds at 90 mph so making this a strong category one hurricane we are expecting this to intensify to a cat 2 before landfall fall in Louisiana today notice the latest track from the National Hurricane Center again intensifies to a cat 2 I think just after 1:00 this afternoon we're expecting landfall maybe around 2 3 4:00 somewhere in that time range but it is still looking like a cattoo in the central portion of the Louisiana Coastline notice how much more narrow the cone of uncertainty has become compared to where we started off with how broad it was so now what's happening is Francine is going to continue to tug most of the moisture and wrap it around uh the hurricane so most of this is going to be pulled away from us we are going to see the chance for a few isolated showers but really that is about it here locally today the impacts are going to be felt primarily in Louisiana and then areas east of remember areas on the West Side typically see a lot less impacts and with that being said um the National Hurricane Center actually took off the tropical storm watch that was in effect for all of our Coastal counties now really all the watches and warnings that are in place are in place for Louisiana and then that kicks off just to the east as well so this is where they're expecting potential storm surge around 5 to 10 feet our wave heights here locally I think itd be anywhere from about two to maybe upwards of four feet so we'll still be tracking that here throughout the dayto day overall conditions are going to be calmer today compared to yesterday there's still the chance for some of those showers and even a few thunderstorms but the flood threat has completely shifted to the Texas Louisiana border on that marginal scale and then notice including Louisiana that's that level three out of four that's the moderate threat today for high water spots that's where the most rain will fall with that being said I'll walk you through our future track again a few spotty showers expected across the area uh conditions are going to stay kind of about the same as yesterday yesterday afternoon you know you picked up a few showers maybe an isolated thunderstorm toward the coast and that was about it there wasn't that much convection most of that stay just offshore now notice 4:00 this afternoon maybe that's when we get the best chance for some wraparound moisture besides that keep the umbrella handy Breezy North winds today possible thanks to this wrapping around Francine today and then as that moves closer to the shore we'll get some of the downpours on the back Edge side of this thanks to those North winds more updates to come good morning range but it is still looking like a cattoo in the central portion of the Louisiana Coastline notice how much more narrow the cone of uncertainty has become compared to where we started off with how broad it was so now what's happening is Francine is going to continue to tug most of the moisture and wrap it around uh the hurricane pain so most of this is going to be pulled away from us we are going to see the chance for a few isolated showers but really that is about it here locally today the impacts are going to be felt primarily in Louisiana and then areas east of remember areas on the West Side typically see a lot less impacts and with that being said um the National Hurricane Center actually took off the tropical storm watch that was in effect for all of our Coastal counties now really all the watches and warnings that are in place are in place for Louisiana and then that kicks off just to the east as well so this is where they're expecting potential storm surge around 5 to 10 ft our wave heights here locally I think it'd be anywhere from about two to maybe upwards of 4 feet so we'll still be tracking that here throughout the dayto day overall conditions are going to be calmer today compared to yesterday there's still the chance for some of those showers and even a few thunderstorms but the flood threat has completely shifted to the Texas Louisiana border on that marginal scale and then notice including Louisiana that's that level three out of four that's the moderate threat today for high water spots that's where the most rain will fall with that being said I'll walk you through our future track again a few spotty showers expected across the area uh conditions are going to stay kind of about the same as yesterday yesterday afternoon you know you picked up a few showers maybe an nice lated thunderstorm toward the coast and that was about it there wasn't that much convection most of that stayed just offshore now notice four o'clock this afternoon maybe that's when we get the best chance for some wraparound moisture besides that keep the umbrella handy Breezy North winds today possible thanks to this wrapping around Francine today and then as that moves closer to the shore we'll get some of the downpours on the back Edge side of this thanks to those North winds more updates to come good morning I'm meteorologist cheetah craft so this is today compared to yesterday there's still the chance for some of those showers and even a few thunderstorms but the flood threat has completely shifted to the Texas Louisiana border on that marginal scale and then notice including Louisiana that's that level three out of four that's the moderate threat today for high water spots that's where the most rain will fall with that being said I'll walk you through our future track again a few spotty showers expected across the area uh conditions are going to stay kind of about the same as yesterday yesterday afternoon you know you picked up a few showers maybe an nice lated thunderstorm toward the coast and that was about it there wasn't that much convection most of that stayed just offshore now notice 4:00 this afternoon maybe that's when we get the best chance for some wraparound moisture besides that keep the umbrella handy Breezy North winds today possible thanks to this wrapping around Francine today and then as that moves closer to the shore we'll get some of the downpours on the back Edge side of this thanks to those North winds more updates to come good morning I'm meteorologist just cheah craft so this is the latest update from the National Hurricane Center 400 a.m. update for you Max sustained winds at 90 mph so making this a strong category one hurricane we are expecting this to intensify to a cat Tube before landfall in Louisiana today notice the latest track from the National Hurricane Center again intensifies to a cat 2 I think just after 1:00 this afternoon we're expecting landfall maybe around 2 3 4:00 somewhere in that time range but it is still looking like a cattoo in the central portion of the Louisiana Coastline notice how much more narrow the cone of uncertainty has become compared to where we started off with how broad it was so now what's happening is Francine is going to continue to tug most of the moisture and wrap it around uh the hurricane so most of this is going to be pulled away from us we are going to see the chance for a few isolated showers but really that is about it here locally today the impacts are going to be felt Prim nearly in Louisiana and then areas east of remember areas on the West Side typically see a lot less impacts and with that being said um the National Hurricane Center actually took off the tropical storm watch that was in effect for all of our Coastal counties now really all the watches and warnings that are in place are in place for Louisiana and then that kicks off just to the east as well so this is where they're expecting potential storm surge around 5 to 10 ft our wave heights here locally I think it'd be anywhere from about 2 to maybe upwards of 4T so we'll still be tracking that here throughout the dayto day overall at 90 mes hour so making this a strong category one hurricane we are expecting this to intensify to a cat 2 before landfall in Louisiana today notice the latest track from the National Hurricane Center again intensifies to a cat 2 I think just after 1:00 this afternoon we're expecting landfall maybe around 2 3 4:00 somewhere in that time range but it is still looking like a cattoo in the central portion of the Louisiana Coastline notice how much more narrow the cone of uncertainty has become compared to where we started off with how broad it was so now what's happening is Francine is going to continue to tug most of the moisture and wrap it around uh the hurricane so most of this is going to be pulled away from us we are going to see the chance for a few isolated showers but really that is about it here look Al today the impacts are going to be felt primarily in Louisiana and then areas east of remember areas on the West Side typically see a lot less impacts and with that being said um the National Hurricane Center actually took off the tropical storm watch that was in effect for all of our Coastal counties now really all the watches and warnings that are in place are in place for Louisiana and then that kicks off just to the east as well so this is where they're expecting potential storm surge around 5 to 10 feet our wave heights here low locally I think it'd be anywhere from about 2 to maybe upwards of 4T so we'll still be tracking that here throughout the dayto day overall conditions are going to be calmer today compared to yesterday there's still the chance for some of those showers and even a few thunderstorms but the flood threat has completely shifted to the Texas Louisiana border on that marginal scale and then notice including Louisiana that's that level three out of four that's the moderate threat today for high water spots that's where the most rain will fall with that being said I'll walk you through our future track again a few spotty showers expected across the area uh conditions are going to stay kind of about the same as yesterday yesterday afternoon you know you picked up a few showers maybe a nice lated thunderstorm toward the coast and that was about it there wasn't that much convection most of that stayed just offshore now notice 4:00 this afternoon maybe that's when we get the best chance for some wraparound moisture besides that keep the umbrella handy Breezy North winds today possible thanks to this wrapping around Francine today and then as that moves closer to the shore we'll get some of the downpours on the back Edge side of this thanks to those North winds more updates to come good morning I'm meteorologist cheetah craft so this is the latest update from the National Hurricane Center 400 a.m craft tracking hurricane Francine notice just about 130 miles south of the galston coastline still a category 1 hurricane moving in that northeasterly direction now at 12 miles per hour so it's picked up a little bit of speed we're also expecting Francine to gain some intensity becoming a category two before landfall landfall is expected around 3 to 5:00 this afternoon along the Central Louisiana Coastline now we're watching most of the impacts for Louisiana and then points Eastward watch upon landfall again this is noon getting into about 3 to 4:00 landfall happens notice all the moisture hugs right around Francine this is also where the strongest winds will be and storm surge potentially between 5 to 10 feet now what does that mean for us here locally we are going to see the chance for showers today but we were actually removed out of the flood threat so the highest risk for high water today will be all along uh portions of Eastern Louisiana and then into Mississippi notice it's a moderate risk that's what the red is that's it's a threat level three out of four then getting into closer into Lake Charles and the Texas Louisiana Coastline here notice how the flood threat continues to drop so we will see some outer bands of Francine and that's why we have some slick spots some scattered showers here and there but that's really about it Breezy North winds and just kind of sloppy conditions especially closer to the coast check the waves out okay surf this morning really choppy it's pushing all this water along the beach notice how that's a lot higher than it typically is notice how wet it is along Seawall Boulevard really Breezy see those palm trees just waving a little bit the stained winds around 15 milph but this is basically it in fact surge today mainly m mostly up to about 2 feet and that should be about it so we'll be watching conditions like this for a big portion of the day kind of what you see now is what you could almost see right through the afternoon in Galveston speaking of satellite and radar picture we do have some scattered showers already popping up would say this is more nuisance activity enough you have to use the windshield wipers enough that you'll want your umbrella especially if you plan to be running errands or meetings throughout the dayto day but it's kind of hit and miss right now right along the Loop East Side to the South Loop this is moving right along 288 it also moved right over the GF freeway and portions of Highway 90 as well and I 10 eastbound you've seen some showers today hid and Miss throughout your day so Wednesday maybe a scattered shower early potentially a scattered shower this afternoon afternoon winds right now sustained around 16 mph in Galveston notice how these winds are all wrapping around Francine so we're catching a Northeast wind and Breezy some of our wind gust today could be between 20 to 30 mph so our local impacts from Francine a few showers all throughout the dayto day elevated Tides you saw that live shot surge around 2 ft and then the potential of some erosion you know anytime that water is being pushed ashore that can cuse beach erosion Breezy sustained winds maybe 10 to 15 but gust today between 20 to 30 and we've already seen that after today the rain chances drop and then hello heat we are back to the midow 90s so we're not finished with the '90s just yet we'll be watching Francine very closely good morning I'm meteorologist cheetah craft tracking hurricane Francine notice just about 130 miles south of the galon coastline still a category 1 so we're catching a Northeast wind and Breezy some of our wind gusts today could be between 20 to 30 m hour so our local impacts from Francine a few showers all throughout the day today elevated tide you saw that live shot surge around 2 feet and then the potential of some erosion you know anytime that water is being pushed ashore that can cause beach erosion Breezy sustained winds maybe 10 to 15 but gust today between 20 to 30 and we've already seen that after today the rain chances drop and then hello heat we are back to the middle of 90s so we're not finished with the '90s just yet we'll be watching Francine very closely good morning I'm meteorologist cheetah craft tracking hurricane Francine notice just about 130 Mi south of the galston coastline still a category 1 hurricane moving in that northeasterly direction now at 12 milph so it's picked up a little bit of speed we're also expecting Francine to gain some intensity becoming a category two before landfall landfall is expected around 3 to 5:00 this afternoon along the Central Louisiana Coastline now we're watching most of the impacts for Louisiana and then points Eastward watch upon landfall in is noon getting into about 3 to 4:00 landfall happens notice all the moisture hugs right around Francine this was also where the strongest winds will be and storm surge potentially between 5 to 10 feet now what does that mean for us here locally we are going to see the chance for showers today but we were actually removed out of the flood threat so the highest risk for high water today will be all along uh portions of Eastern Louisiana and then into Mississippi notice it's a moderate r risk that's what the red is that's a threat level three out of four then getting into closer into Lake Charles and the Texas Louisiana Coastline here notice how the flood threat continues to drop so we will see some outer bands of Francine and that's why we have some slick spots some scattered showers here and there but that's really about it Breezy North winds and just kind of sloppy conditions especially closer to the coast check the waves out okay surf this morning really choppy it's pushing all this water along the beach notice how that's a lot higher than it typically is notice how wet it is along Seawall Boulevard really Breezy see those palm trees just waving a little bit sustained winds around 15 mph but this is basically it in fact surge today mainly mostly up to about 2 feet and that should be about it so we'll be watching conditions like this for a big portion of the day kind of what you see now is what you could almost see right through the afternoon in galvaston speaking of satellite and radar picture we do have some scattered showers already popping up I would say this is more nuisance activity enough enough if you have to use the windshield wipers enough that you'll want your umbrella especially if you plan to be running errands or meetings throughout the dayto day but it's kind of hit and miss right now right along the Loop East Side to the South Loop this is moving right along 288 it also moved right over the G freeway and portions of Highway 90 as well and I 10 eastbound you've seen that's what the red is that's a threat level three out of four then getting into closer into Lake Charles and the Texas Louisiana Coastline here notice how the flood threat continues to drop so we will see some outer bands of Francine and that's why we have some slick spots some scattered showers here and there but that's really about it Breezy North winds and just kind of sloppy conditions especially closer to the coast check the waves out okay surf this morning really choppy it's pushing all this water along the beach notice how that's a lot higher than it typically is notice how wet it is along Seawall Boulevard really Breezy see those palm trees just waving a little bit sustained winds around 15 miles per hour but this is basically it in fact surge today mainly mostly up to about 2 feet and that should be about it so we'll be watching conditions like this for a big portion of the day kind of what you see now is what you could almost see right through the afternoon in Galveston speaking of satellite and radar picture we do have some scattered showers already popping up I would say this is more nuisance activity and know if you have to use the windshield wipers enough that you'll want your umbrella especially if you plan to be running errands or meetings throughout the dayto day but it's kind of hit and miss right now right along the Loop East Side to the elevated Tides you saw that live shot surge around 2 feet and then the potential of some erosion you know anytime that water is being pushed ashore that can cause beach erosion Breezy sustained winds maybe 10 to 15 but gust today between 20 to 30 and we've already seen that after today the rain chances drop and then hello heat we are back to the midow 90s so we're not finished with the '90s just yet we'll be watching Francine very closely good morning a meteorologist cheetah craft tracking hurricane Francine notice just about 130 miles south of the galston coastline still a category 1 around France scine so we're catching a Northeast wind and Breezy some of our wind gusts today could be between 20 to 30 m hour so our local impacts from Francine a few showers all throughout the day today elevated tides you saw that live shot surge around 2 feet and then the potential of some erosion you know anytime that water is being pushed to Shore that can cause beach erosion Breezy sustained winds maybe 10 to 15 but gust today between 20 to 30 and we've already seen that after today the rain chances drop and then hello heat we are back to the middle of 90s so we're not finished with the '90s just yet we'll be watching Francine very closely good morning I'm meteorologist cheetah craft tracking hurricane Francine noticed just about 130 Mi south of the galston coastline still a category 1 hurricane moving in that northeasterly direction now at 12 mph so it's picked up a little bit of speed we're also expecting Francine to gain some intensity becoming a category two before landfall landfall is expected around 3 to 5:00 this afternoon along the Central Louisiana Coastline now we're watching most of the impacts for Louisiana and then points Eastward watch upon landfall again this is noon getting into about 3 to 4:00 landfall happens notice all the moisture hugs right around Francine this is also where the strongest winds will be and storm surge potentially between 5 to 10 feet now what does that mean for us here locally we are going to see the chance for showers today but we were actually removed out of the flood threat so the highest risk for high water today will be all along uh portions of Eastern Louisiana and then into Mississippi notice it's a moderate risk that's what the red is that's a threat level three out of four then getting into closer into Lake Charles and the Texas Louisiana Coastline here notice how the flood threat continues to drop so we will see some outer bands of Francine and that's why we have some slick spots some scattered showers here and there but that's really about it Breezy North winds and just kind of sloppy conditions especially closer to the coast check the waves out okay surf this morning really choppy it's pushing all this water along the beach notice how that's a lot higher than it typically is notice how wet it is along Seawall Boulevard really Breezy see those palm trees just waving a little bit sustained winds around 15 mil hour but this is basically it in fact surge today mainly m mostly up to about 2 feet and that should be about it so we'll be watching conditions like this for a big portion of the day kind of what you see now is what you could almost see right through the afternoon in Galveston speaking of satellite and radar picture we do have some scattered showers already popping up I would say this is more nuisance activity enough if you have to use the windshield wipers enough that you'll want your umbrella especially if you plan to be running errands or meetings throughout the dayto day but it's kind of hit and miss right now right along the Loop East Side to the South Loop this is moving right along 288 it also moved right over the G freeway and portions of
