throw me some stuff I'll try to I'll try to throw it back at you okay great were you up late watching the game perhaps you want to talk to me about that last play and what what what a great start first of all I mean football's back it feels so good it's it's like it's almost like Christmas for some of us you know it's like oh okay you know know there's there's finally real NFL football on and what a great game to start um you and just a crazy crazy ending um my my buddy who actually had a little money on the uh on the Ravens is like yeah this is my foot this is my my my football betting life if he wears size 12s instead of size 13s you know we win uh you know just but uh crazy way to start and two of the uh two of the true superstars in the league going head-to-head it was an awesome game what does it mean for Lamar in this narrative that he can't get it done He's Got This Record now that's building against KC what what do you make of that with how that sequence that craziness played out yeah you know I mean he did everything that he could it's like you know it's the uh that's the the the uh you know it's the burden that you have playing quarterback you know sometimes you do everything you can you do everything right and and uh it just doesn't go your way but that record goes with you it doesn't go with any other player on the team um and uh you know he obviously missed the missed the one throw early but then just makes throws a dime to likely in the back of the end zone for what looks like the you know potentially the game tying or game winning it looked like Harbaugh was going to go for two which was interesting um so you know he he does a lot right and um and you know he's truly one of the great players in the league and and uh but you know when you're a quarterback that record follows you whether it's uh whether it's all on you or not uh there were five illegal formation penalties called on the Ravens in this one Drew none on the Chiefs Ravens fans losing their minds fans live it over the flow of play uh what did you make of the week one matchup the kickoff game with the sort of the extra emphasis on the rule yeah you know I I think but put it this way I'm an offensive guy right I'm quarterback obviously and all the rule changes over the past um you know really decade have favored the offense uh you know right with the exception of like the the sideline rule where you catch it and they can carry them out of bounds um this is the first rule that they've made rule emphasis change that they've made that actually favors the defense where the tackles have to be closer to the line of scrimmage gives the pass rusher a little bit of an edge um so you know even though I'm an offensive guy I'm actually in favor of them emphasizing this piece uh of the rule book a little bit more and and trying to at least you know give just one little cookie to the defensive guys where we're not going to make all the rule changes just to score more fantasy get some other story lines last night was a perfect game like if you're a fan you're loving every minute of that you're saying you're so happy that football's back and then we get Friday night action right huge game Brazil Packers Eagles I think potentially a lot of people think the NFC Championship preview potentially if you're looking at just quarterback play alone who has the edge hurts or love gez you know um I mean I would be a crazy question to ask a year ago right you know um but but but uh but Jordan seems to be continuing to progress um and and grow as a quarterback and so that's a pretty even matchup now I'll tell you that a storyline that's really going to be interesting I was just talking about this with a good friend last night the impact of Jason Kel's retirement on the Eagles you know because he was asking me last night he's a guy doesn't play football he's like all right so if you're going to put together a team talk to me about the most important positions and I got very quickly to Center and people that that position gets overlooked so often it's the quarterback of the off of the offensive line and also what Jason Kelce was able to do as a player where he could snap the ball and actually pull and Lead around the corner um you know he's an exceptional player and it's going to be an interesting storyline to see you know how the Eagles are able to function offensively without that uh that amazing player in the middle of their offensive line that's the story line I'm going to be watching not even just from his what he does on the field just what he was to the locker room I you know we all know that he has he has real estate in the locker room still he's in there he's uh in there weekly getting his workout in and being around the team um Jurgens is the huge shoes to fill I mean Kelsey had a hand in drafting him osmosis bringing him up but super impossible uh and it will be interesting to see how they do saquon Barkley is obviously gonna have a big h factor with that with what this o line does look like without Kelsey who do you got in that game who wins who pulls this out tonight oh man I'm gonna go I'm G to go Packers I'm going to go Packers um in this one um you know I just feel like a team on the rise and you know I really feel like Jordan love is continuing to to impress um you know should be another great ball game I love that they have these these Marquee matchups early in the season like this it's uh it just makes it so much fun but yeah I'm gonna go Packers Drew I love that you're Hing based on my history means everybody should should go heavy eag based on based on my my track record we we love a self-deprecating drew blood so we do uh you're high on Caleb Williams which I love they've got he's his debut it's against the Titans on Sunday bill bich seems to disagree with you guy who has more jobs than anyone in the world right now Inside the NFL says uh well he wasn't accurate he was 10 for 20 there were a couple of highlight plays but they weren't that good wow what did you make of this yeah well hey look Bill's watched the tape I have it so I'm I'm just kind of a fanboy uh you know for the for this kid because his spectacular plays are are truly spectacular uh but look if Bill's watched the uh if he's watched the tape I would go go with Bill's uh I would go with Bill's analysis over mine because I've just been chilling on the lake up here in Montana I mean just look at your background on your look at the background can we get the full the full view of our our friend Drew bled so look at your life like what an amazing thing where are where are we right now we're just at our cabin up here in Montana um hanging out you know we'll be on the uh we'll be on the lake this afternoon and maybe play some golf and um and then uh I've got to do a little more work this afternoon we got to make some calls and sell some wine but uh um yeah it's uh it's good up here but don't tell
