Introduction and Podcast Overview hell up everybody Welcome to the yelling at Birds podcast I'm your host moose that's my nickname we're going with for this podcast welcome to the best new college sports podcast in the world I'm here with my coo co-host yak yak my name is yak auditory de Fen what the the always insightful always insightful it's just yeah we got a we got a bunch of big games heading into the weekend uh a bunch insightful reviews and predictions for yall moving forward current top 12 moving into the weekend let's go over it all right let's do it at number one we have the Georgia Bulldogs Arf Arf [ __ ] facing off pretty easy win this weekend I don't think we're going to cover them much today but no no yeah Tennessee Tech that should be a given Ohio State often state as the worst Tennessee team often stated Tennessee I've heard that before at least once I think I've heard uh a team that's trying to uh portray themselves as the re real ut oh I've heard of that one too yeah the the vs the Vols yeah utk is what they call it UT utk not UT UT utk that's right and yeah number two we got Ohio State playing Western Michigan another easy game number three hook them horns baby the UT Longhorns real UT facing off against the number 10 Michigan Wolverines yeah we'll definitely get into that one later uh moving to number four we got Alabama facing off against South Florida you know that they're you know it's not a good team if they have to put a cardinal direction in front of it that's my philosophy I'm gonna say that now [Laughter] we got we got Western Michigan up at uh against Ohio State now we got South Florida I mean if you have to specify you know they're not going to be good yeah make sure the mic right dude the mic is six inches six inches I know six inches well I'll Trust you I'll Trust you at number five we got Notre Dame the fighting Irish that took care of those Analyzing the Current Top 12 Teams [ __ ] bags Texas A&M hate those guys dude I gotta say those guys they suck and that's about all I have about that yeah they're pretty trash I'm not I'm not going to lie to you uh they I think their uh their hopes and dreams are squashed with that one all right uh let's move forward at number six we got M Miss uh facing off against Middle Tennessee I wouldn't say that's a cardinal direction Brian how does that honestly that's even worse than a cardinal direction you can't even afford that I mean oh oh yeah number seven we got Oregon uh facing off against Boise States that's going to be a good one I think yeah we're going to cover that one later on in the podcast we have we have some good talking points there at number eight we have Penn State facing off against Bowling Green why the [ __ ] are they playing football if they're so good at bowling I don't know bro I have no idea yeah that's a good question you know we're not going to get into into that game later but oh [ __ ] but uh I think I think all of us should pay attention to this and uh and monitor the bowling scores and see how they compare see if they can get a perfect 300 no but that pen State team man they're looking pretty [ __ ] good this season overrated all righty Missouri Missouri versus buffalo buffalo where I have no [ __ ] clue Buffalo like the Bison is that New York is it Buffalo New York or is it somewhere else when is this top 10 going to start playing real [ __ ] teams that's the question is it week three is it week four I can't I can't wait to hear all these teams is a Texas is playing a real team week too because we have balls I mean they have balls I'm not a part of them BS you heard it here first Yak has said it bivo has balls he's got big [ __ ] balls bro I can I can feel him all right at number 10 we have the Michigan Wolverines in ant Arbor facing off against the Texas Longhorns I don't know why we emphasize that so much because we already said that game earlier we did yeah whenever we covered Texas at at number three why did we cover Texas because they're the best team in the league that's right the best team in the league that's right best team in the league and we'll touch on that later and this is an unbiased podcast by the way both completely unbias uh no I didn't go to Oklahoma I went to um I went overseas actually yeah overseas Oxford Oxford Mississippi is that where you got that intellect yeah that's my dialect that di all right at number 11 we have Utah facing off against Baylor that's one of the Highlight matches this week that's going to be a great one and at number 12 capping wait hold on number is number 12 actually getting into the playoff or we got we got a group of five team going in when has the U ever gotten into the playoffs right it doesn't even matter were we were we alive the last time yeah honestly I have no idea but I don't remember it that's for sure speaking of the U I heard they had an old [ __ ] man man playing for their team uh did you hear they have is he the oldest player in the league I don't even know who you're talking about to be honest I can't remember his name but I know it's his ninth year of college [ __ ] football how do you remember that because they did a freaking expose on him last college game day when when the U was playing uh what was it Florida when they routed Florida yeah riped all my Florida fans out there that was a rough start it's only going to get worse nine years did you say nine years in the league n years in in college in college yeah yeah that's [ __ ] crazy he's getting his double doctorate oh man yeah but that rounds out the top 12 Uh current top 12 current top 12 yeah we we'll we'll get into that moving forward it ain't going to stay the same guys it ain't going to stay the same but expanding off that top 12 how do you feel about this top 25 do you think they're going to stay the same moving into the weekend uh I see a lot of no-name teams that uh you know I watched a few of their games they all looked like trash I'm not going to lie past the top 12 so no I don't see them staying the same any any standout matches in that 13 through 25 that you're seeing I'm looking at Louisville I'm looking at Georgia Tech and if I'm not going to lie I'm kind of looking at LSU a little bit LSU yeah they're dropping you think so I mean they had a pretty good game with the USC this USC team this year is pretty good no you just like cayb Williams he doesn't even play there anymore Yak I know I know he's gone but you're still a fanboy because of that I'm I'm I'll bet on it yes I ple the fifth we should put a bet on it now for bet on it yeah for the for the entire season who who's uh who's USC's new quarterback Miller Moss yeah yeah sounds right got some got some big shoes to fill I'll just say that I'll just say that he's doing great and USC has fixed their defensive line Caleb Williams kind of sucked last year though not gonna lie I know all right so a little you know background this guy took Caleb Williams in his [ __ ] fantasy draft for NFL huge mistake huge mistake I'm saying that now beginning of the season did you say it was a huge mistake when I took Xavier Worley no no no no ex well Xavier wor they could go both ways he got me two touchdowns last night man he did he did all right he did all right maybe they taught him to catch the ball you know he always had the Speed but he couldn't catch the ball coming from a Texas uh oxer fan that watches Texas anyways yeah Kayla Williams I'm calling it way overrated you're GNA be regretting that and his backup quarterback that's playing at USC now he's probably even worse listen man I might have the Hard Knocks uh brain rash brain rot uh but I'm high on Tech on Caleb Williams right now and I'm high on romad dunes I'm high on DJ Moore I'm high on all that Bears team I picked their freaking secondary I picked their defensive line they're I'm I'm foing on that Bears team yeah well Bears is an NFL team and this is a college sports podcast that's true that's true let's get back on track let's get giggity all right so moving into our highlighted matchups game predictions for this week highlighted matchups and game predictions for this week first one we got a doozy Boise State at Oregon Hannah play the high highight RS alrighty so last week Boise State took on uh took on all righty so last week Boise State took on Georgia Southern in an absolute barn burner and what do I say about cardinal directions you say they're dog [ __ ] trash that is a fact that is a fact what are we doing here looking at the anyways Boise State Dude that [ __ ] running back that guy's a [ __ ] [ __ ] but boy can he run I will say that twice boy is he a [ __ ] but Featured Matchup: Boise State vs. Oregon boy can he run yak five foot flat five foot flat Christian I don't even know if I'd give him that I wouldn't either but but my boy Can Shed tackles that dude was running through it and if you wanted proof what's that what was he at ashon jenty ran for 266 267 yards and six touchdowns and he just bounces off of people I I don't know what it what it is but nobody can [ __ ] tackle that guy dude I I know he's like like a magician and he was going against what the number one defensive line in the country yeah I would say so if I had to guess if I had to guess I would say it's probably the number one defense in the country and uh and they could not contain him they could not contain him Christian I mean uh what's your [ __ ] name moose that's right Mo all right I'll say that again we'll cut that out they could not contain him moose they could not contain him absolutely not and key points for Boise State moving to this Oregon game fun fact Boise State what what your thumbing through over there buddy I'm looking through the [ __ ] notes bro Boise state has never lost to Oregon in all of their three games that's a lot of [ __ ] a lot of [ __ ] games and I'll tell you what it ain't G to happen this time it ain't gonna happen I actually I have no idea I'm kind of feeling I'm kind of you're feeling that one I'm feeling this week this is our top 10 upset of the week Boise State and ashon jenty are taking that duck home and cooking it for Christmas yeah that that's not my top 10 that's not that is not my top 10 upset all right here's my take guys all right that giante dude or whatever the [ __ ] you call him he looks pretty good he's also five feet tall and uh as soon as he goes up against good good defense not saying Oregon has a good defense but it's better than who did they play uh moosey Moy they played Idaho they played Idaho and they beat them in a late game [ __ ] yeah they barely beat Idaho Idaho 14 Idaho has a [ __ ] defense guys and giante or whatever the [ __ ] his name is as soon as he runs into a six-foot line defensive lineman that guy's going to the ground uh my take on this game Oregon is gonna run through Boise State you think they're gonna run through Boise State they're gonna run through them like a never mind that like a triny at a jailhouse guys like a trany at a jail house they're gonna get run through you know what I'm not going to disagree with you completely I'm still gonna stay strong with Boise State but you know what I don't think I'd be surprised if they have an answer for that Dylan Gabriel offense because that guy was putting together passes last you're talking about Dylan Gabriel the Oregon quarterback Oregon quarter quarterback yeah but you're going with Boise State I'm still going with Boise State you know why because Dylan Gabriel combined for or went 41 for 49 passes 380 yards and a pair of touchdown passes you memorize that heck thank you here's the problem guys um Oregon Oregon impressed me in a few ways um they had a decent run I know they they played against a shitty defense they had a def decent pass and their defense didn't look that bad the only thing that impressed me about Boise state is their running back that one kid the [ __ ] guy giante giante whatever the [ __ ] is name is and I think Oregon probably has the Firepower to shut that down over whoever the [ __ ] they played last time Southern Georgia you know what Yak you you have you have a way with words I think you're changing my mind I'm I'm thinking about it the Boise State Defense is suspect they gave away 45 points to Georgia Southern last weekend dude you have a great memory I can't I can't believe this and not only did they give away 45 points they gave away 322 yards in the air in the air in the air and you know who they're going against Dylan Gabriel and that fantastic [ __ ] arm of his even though it came out of Oklahoma oh it did yeah I didn't know that you going to get people that takes me a little off of of Oregon but not by much not by much yeah oh man and you know what yeah Boise State's defense just wasn't looking good last weekend they got a lot of [ __ ] to fix there if they're going to win oh just got a got a tip from The Sound guy [ __ ] that's a woman stay in your lane stay in your lane can we pan to the sound guy pan to the sound all right his name is Hannah all right oh wait what's your Nick what's your code name cozy Mo cozy Mo his name is cozy Mo all right moving forward to our second featured matchup moving into the weekend Baylor at Utah Baylor at Utah my boy Yak is high on Baylor I do like Baylor guys um let's see why why why why are you high on Baylor moving this is why I like Baylor okay so guys uh they got a transfer quarterback what's his name moose um dayquan Finn dayquan Finn straight out of Toledo first off Finn quite like the uh name of the clone trooper from the Star Wars franchise franchise um he does not stay in his Lane you know he makes those hard passes he threads the needle and godd damn it he might get picked off one once or twice but he makes those [ __ ] passes more often than not he impressed me big time and he also has legs he can run the [ __ ] ball oh you like his legs huh I love his legs you heard it here first folks Yak loves the legs I love the legs Featured Matchup: Baylor vs. Utah and uh I just I don't think Utah impressed me enough on defense to to contain all that I think Baylor has a real chance at this on top of that their defense looked amazing with sacks and uh Utah I think they ranked 30 to 40 on offensive line I don't know if that's enough to to uh stop the Baylor defense Baylor defense top worry is their inability to tackle as a big 12 defense it's it's showing hey but you know who else is a big 12 defense now Utah that's true yeah [Laughter] oh man hey but Baylor Baylor held pretty firm defensively against that tlon State team I mean granted they are tlon State I mean yeah but they look pretty good they they gave up a lot of big plays which like you know that happens with a big 12 defense but I was impressed with the amount of sacks they had and and that what that's what gives me hope against you Utah yeah I can see that I could see that but oh man you have a lot of faith but Utah gave up absolutely zero points zero points against Southern Utah can we go back to my philosophy on cardinal directions you're right cardinal directions it'll it never fails and who did Baylor play uh they played tles tlon State and how many cardinal directions are in that name zero yeah that is a key advantage that Baylor has over Utah right now they have not played a team that has a cardinal direction in their name and you know what you know what another Advantage Baylor has over Utah they don't have a senior citizen quarterback guiding their team on a bum knee that's true how old [ __ ] cam Rising is in his what seventh season with Utah or at Utah this is seventh season and it happens to be at Utah okay yeah that's a lot of [ __ ] seasons for a college quarterback it it really he's been hurt he's because like what would you expect Max like four three if you're good or maybe it's five who knows like how do you count the ones on the bench I honestly don't know we'll see we'll see if you can live up to that uh I mean we all we all remember STS and Bennett right yeah totally the old old man Georgia quarterback that won that National Championship I don't think this uh 49y old man can bring the Utah uh what is Utah's mascot the Utes yeah ah the Utes I don't think this 49y old man can bring the Utah Utes to National Championship but he did throw for 254 yards in a career-high five touchdowns last weekend that's not that good honestly yeah actually I have that as a highlight here but it's can we go back to the fact that they play against Southern Utah like is Utah even big enough to have a South well Southern Utah is a team full of brothers and sisters sisters there's girls on that team I thought there was from what I saw last week this is this is point proven right here first off Utah is not big enough to have a South it's just [ __ ] Utah you don't need north south east west um second off I don't even know but if they have [ __ ] girls on their team that's that's [ __ ] crazy um no but um man I'm not sure I'm I'm high on Baylor winning this game what Utah Utah has CRA take out of the last 20 home games Utah has won 19 of them and this is a home game this is a home game for them and I feel like do they play I feel like if Cam they play like North Utah east south East Utah South they played Southern Utah they played Eastern Utah they played West Utah they played Northwest Utah oh wow we're taking in the the secondary if Cam Rising mimics the game he had last week granted I think Baylor has the right mindset to not leave receivers open Bare [ __ ] free ass hanging out that's another good point moose moosey Goosey um yeah the most impressive plays from that Utah game uh it looked like Southern Utah had their eyes blindfolded or something because their receivers were open by like 10 yards well I heard those those Utah cheerleaders were promising something to Southern Utah if they were uh they were a little bit uh restrictive in their in their defense I have to say those Utah cheerleaders had nice tatas the Utah tatas is that their name I think the Utah tatas you heard it here um what's that guy's name again uh cozy Mo cozy Mo thoughts on the Utah tatas good for them good for them you heard it first yeah y'all can't y'all can't hear our our very autistic sound guy but he said all right let's move featured game number three heading into the weekend Tennessee at North Carolina State all right so last week the Tennessee Volunteers this week they're a 7.5 uh Point favorite against uh North Carolina State but last week they had a 69-3 win versus Chattanooga Tennessee yeah and and people um think that that might not be a great game but Tennessee and Chattanooga Tennessee actually have a very real rivalry I used to live in Knoxville Tennessee I'm very familiar and uh that is not an easy game to win for them is it actually not no it's actually not wow and they won 69 to three well maybe it is but it's always a it's always a big deal you know doesn't sound like a very easy game Yak it's it's always uh it's always very intriguing for the people for the people watching because uh you know Chattanooga Featured Matchup: Tennessee vs. North Carolina State is only an hour and a half away from Knoxville guys and a lot of people live in chatt newa that work in Knoxville hey they might have played a lot of bumbos running in oil but that Dylan Samson he really impressed me last weekend three touchdowns three rushing touchdowns from Dylan Samson everyone everyone always talks about that Tennessee wide receiving CP they they always have good receivers yeah they always have remember uh henden hooker for Tennessee I do that was a while ago though yeah yeah that was like that was was that last year or the year before no that was two years that was two years AG two or three years ago no that was two years two years last year they had that Milton dude who was like he could throw the [ __ ] ball as far as you could see but he had no accuracy and then this year they have the new guy Dylan Samson taking over for Milton who could throw the ball as far as you could [ __ ] see but not throw it accurately yeah that's true but this niik Lala guy or whatever hey what happened to hen hooker if anyone knows hen hooker if anyone knows his whereabouts nowadays pleas in the comments I'm pretty sure he got drafted somewhere but I haven't heard anything and he's not on my fantasy team definitely not on my fantasy team I only pick win who knows where the [ __ ] he is okay anyways no but this niik Lala guy he threw for 314 yards this last weekend who is that I think I think it's their new starting what is his name Nico lala lala yeah man that's cool name all right I got um yeah Nico lamaa yeah 314 yards in a blowout win ex that's almost word for word what you said [Laughter] huh um all right uh I gotta say this uh and I have to say it now um the vs have too much Firepower and a solid def defense with multiple NFL projects to lose this [ __ ] game right now no the okay in all in all honesty the Tennessee volunteers are a really stacked team they they can rush they can throw they have Firepower everywhere I just do not see how North Carolina state is going to uh deal with that Tennessee oh and also fun fact Tennessee has the best fight song in college football and I'll say it again just like the other thing I said again Tennessee has the best college football fight song I said that in Reverse in college football and we will sing it now 3 two 1 you start we are Tennessee it's Rocky Top you don't know that song Oh Rocky Top Tennessee yeah yeah I know that one that's a great great fight song it is the best fight song and I'm sure they're going to be they're going be uh singing that song you know last week North Carolina state was trailing against Western Carolina going into the fourth quarter so you're you're taking Tennessee as well oh absolutely I think Tennessee is g to absolutely route North Carolina so so we need to release a video of us singing Rocky Top tomorrow is what I'm hearing yeah tell you what I love that song I'll tell you what you you betting on Tennessee I can't against Tennessee they're going to win this game but would you say against Tennessee yeah no no I'm I'm all for Tennessee oh no who the [ __ ] are they playing North Carolina State hey they're a top 25 team man but you know my rule I don't care I don't I don't care if uh I don't care if North is a part of your actual State [ __ ] name that's still a cardinal direction guys North Carolina State say it with me North Carolina State they [ __ ] dog [ __ ] okay and that's that's facts but but let's be real here though [ __ ] QB but he finished the game as an absolute closer he did so what happened in that game please inform me they won they won okay they won they did win who' they play but huh who' they play they played Western Carolina don't you [ __ ] say it I don't even don't you [ __ ] say it I don't have to say it now North Carolina plays Western [ __ ] what who the [ __ ] cares you Carolina you already heard the first the first first word of both of those teams they [ __ ] suck guys they [ __ ] suck but if Grayson McCall can come out at the wh whistle and link up with uh Kevin conception conception what's his name conception conception his name oh God he uh he caught nine passes and three touchdowns last week and that was basically starting in the fourth quarter if I'm lucky I'll concept a child with a girl this weekend yeah I didn't know you were trying I'm not congratulations not as good as I thought it was all right anyways what do we got next Tennessee I think we're both in agreement Tennessee over North Carolina State oh yeah and moving into our fourth highlighted match of the weekend the big one the big one Austin Texas going to Ann Arbor the UT Texas Longhorns facing off against the Michigan Wolverines yeah I need to hear it from you how's this game going to go um I just dropped my notes but I don't really need them guys Texas is going to blow the [ __ ] roof on Michigan and I'll say it twice I'll say it three times I'll say it four times I'll say it as many times as you [ __ ] need me to guys Michigan is not going to know what [ __ ] hit them this weekend and that's my take all right so I'm going to be an unbiased Observer here that was unbiased by the way that I Featured Matchup: Texas vs. Michigan completely unbiased that was unbiased Michigan we all know won the national championship last year this year completely different team pretty much their entire offense went to the NFL they lost their cheating [ __ ] Scandal of a head coach Jim Harbaugh um their defensive uh their defensive uh coordinator coordinator pretty much your whole defensive staff is gone are they yeah um Michigan still has a great defense but I just don't know how they're going to keep up with Texas's speed at the wide receivers you you know the thing that I think um Texas had their number last year the championship team I think Texas would have beat them anyways Texas had a great run defense Michigan is looking way weaker this year than they did last year and Texas was looking just as good um Texas impressed me against Colorado State last week I know Colorado State not a great team they don't have a cardinal direction in their name though I think that's important to note and Texas wiped the [ __ ] floor with them they did everything they needed to do they had a slow first quarter but quarters 234 very solid and Michigan just did not just did not leave the the same impact on me at all Michigan they they won the game in the fourth quarter against Fresno State Fresno State absolutely looked like a team that could have won that game going into the fourth quarter um yeah these teams have only played one time in the past and it was what the 2004 2005 Rose Bowl yep where true Texas won the game they did man and and that streak is not going to end today it is not going to end this weekend uh keys to winning for Texas Quinn ERS just showing up and hitting his receiving core I think that's it he just needs to hit his receivers yeah if if Quin is consistent uh I think we'll have a good game uh I think receiving core their weakness is dropping passes we saw it last year uh it's a brand new receiving core I saw it in the last game again I don't know what's going on there but Quinn ERS is making solid passes I saw a lot of dro passes last game in the first quarter especially we just need to clean that uh they just need to clean that up and uh I didn't see any other mistakes in the last game for Texas I saw a ton of mistakes for Michigan so oh yeah that Michigan Foundation was looking pretty shaky but keys to winning for Michigan I mean their their defense just has to show up and I I don't know how they're going to do it against Texas but well they need to they need to lock down the Run they need to eliminate the Run um and that way Texas is forced to pass and ERS might make mistakes as we've seen previously I think that's their only chance yeah and and for the record Texas is already weak on their run offense they're down two running backs that is true that is true capitalizing at the Run Force the throw predict the passes that might be the way for Michigan that might be the way and then you force maybe a an early Arch Manning deployment from Texas earlier than they won oh yes sir so Yak what's up Michigan Texas what's your official prediction and score I think Texas is going to take this you want to score I'm thinking uh the score is going to be 31 18 3118 Texas no no no 31 17 official score the official moose prediction unbiased going to an arbor a new Texas team playing a new Michigan team give me [ __ ] Texas baby all day and I think they win it in a high scoring despite the odds I know people are thinking this is going to be a low-scoring game Yak a high-scoring 49 holy [ __ ] 49 that's crazy to 28 28 you think Texas is getting okay guys hot take if Texas gives up 28 points that's a bad sign I think they're going to win this game 49 not out of the question but if they give up more than 20 points I'll actually be worried for Texas really yeah um Michigan I know they won last year but they they're really not that good of a team in my opinion compared to like compared to Georgia like if we give up no AB if they give up not we they if they give up 20 points to uh to Michigan whoever the [ __ ] they're playing to Michigan bad sign they need to give up less than 20 but regardless with the sentiment sentiment from Mr moose I I agree with that sentiment we're going to wipe the floor and I wouldn't say we they're going to wipe the floor with them scene what's next moose what do we got next well we got some some other key matchups in the top 25 we have Houston well not top 25 matchups but we have Houston playing Oklahoma oh yeah this is this this might be a good one surprisingly could be a good game um yeah um why why do you think it'll be a Passionate Opinions on College Football good game Mr Muse well I don't think it'll be a good game for Oklahoma at least oh yeah because because because because why because and let's say it together let's say it together right now Oklahoma f [ __ ] sucks Georgia they fell to number 25 they they belong further up that's my take on them further up further they looked terrible against Georgia but Georgia is rightfully so in my opinion the number one team State who do we have last week guys we had Missouri we had Missouri and then who who were the other other two we have Missouri we have Michigan we have Utah and we have Miami yeah that's right that's right big boy anyways um so you you already know my take on Michigan and Texas right M Texas is gonna wipe the floor with Michigan Michigan is falling falling guys I don't even know if they're going have Georgia at number one Ohio State at number two moving Texas you know what I think after a win against Michigan I think Texas moves number two so we're going Georgia 1 Texas 2 Ohio state three Alabama 4 Notre Dame staying at five uh I got miss holding through at six I got Penn State moving into seven um I think Missouri will move into that number eight spot that Penn State uh vacates uh at number nine I have I'll say Utah I have Utah moving in at number nine I do not think they're gonna beat Baylor you do think they're gonna beat Baylor I do not think I do think they're GNA beat Baylor
