day one of the Kansas City Chiefs training camp is officially in the books well technically day four but realistically day one with the veterans finally reporting to practice and in today's you know day of practice we saw someone make an unbelievable catch for a 60-yard touchdown Patrick Mahomes to rookie wide receiver Xavier worthy and although a lot of guys did break out I I have a full practice breakdown video if you want to watch that but in this video I wanted to break down this play of Xavier worthy and show you exactly what happened look at Travis Kelce he was hyped momes was hyped they have a real threat now as a down the- field Target a deep threat right him and Hollywood brown but man let's actually Deep dive into this play now the first thing we're going to notice is a little bit of the offensive line trending in the right right direction right they're trying to get to the right as well as the running back heading in that direction as well that would be the first thing we're going to notice so boom they're trying to get a nice little play fake here get guys out to the right side this could even be a little bit of an RPO but what we notice here is momes sees something he likes we do see two guys coming in here trying to get to Mom so what he's going to do is scramble out to the left side going in the opposite direction of where his throwing arm is right so the one thing we notice here right now is this DB is going to pass off the wide receiver right now what that tells us is they are in a zone defense maybe a cover four maybe a cover three but what we know is this guy is now in a flat he's in a flap so that means we have Brian Cook who's got to be in a deep blue zone right a deep Co a deep zone so with that being said we trust and we know at the end of the day wory the fastest player to ever run in the 40- yard dash he's got a mismatch right so mahom is going to get out and boom once worthy fakes like he's going to go out and then cuts back up the field we know or Patrick Mahomes knows at the very least this is a one-on-one matchup that we want to throw the ball to Mahomes is going to make an I mean just look at the way he is positioned right here boys and girls right this is an unbelie this is why he is most likely going to go down as one of the most if not the most skilled quarterback that the NFL has ever seen But honestly May ever see in the lifetime makes an unreal throw here boom off the back foot going across the body leading him in the right direction down the field towards the middle away from the defender and look at the ball placement great ball tracking ability there by Xavier worthy and comes down with a massive touchdown right another thing you love to see is the celebration man these guys are locked in they only care about winning football games they only care about winning football games and that is the best sign of them all now I do want to see see here let me get this off screen who is the left tackle it looks like it is going to [Music] be 76 so that would be that's Kingsley that's Kingsley that's the rookie we all see the tight end helping out there just for just a second trying to get him or allow Pat to get to the outside so Kingsley getting this rep here with the first team that's going to be a fun battle CN Camp guys if you want more of these breakdowns not only throw a preseason but training camp let me know comment down below part two if we get some more plays we'll break them down for you with that being said hit the like button subscribe it's free it doesn't cost anything to join the family and we will be covering the Chiefs throughout the remainder of training camp preseason regular season everything you can think of we've got you guys covered also really quickly go follow all of the Chiefs media members on Twitter they do such a good job getting these videos out the Highlight practice videos all or every single day so go follow them without them these videos aren't even possible so go check them out man hit the like button sub subbe and I'll see you in the next video peace
