two Delta planes crashed on a taxiway earlier this week which I'm sure you've already seen but we now have video footage of the collision and a better indication of who could have been at fa if you're not up today on Tuesday a Delta a350-900 that was heading to Japan and another Delta plane a crj900 were taxing to their runways at Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson Airport the crj was holding short of Runway 08 right and the larger a350 was behind it on taxiway e heading to its Runway at approximately 207 PM the a350 made its way past the crj but there wasn't enough room and the two planes collided destroying the crjs but thankfully no one on either plane was hurt but was there actually enough room for the planes to pass I took the length of the crj and half the wingspan of the a350 to do some math and if Google Maps is correct it would appear they should have been plenty of room but if you look at the photos it's easy to see that the crj was Far Behind the whole Short Line and know it wasn't still approaching the line during the Collision as you can see in the video it would appear that the pilots of the crj should have pulled up further but at the same time the pilots of the a350 should have been more aware that the crj was potentially in their way I could be completely wrong and of course we don't have all the details but who do you think is at fault
