why are we doing this well Christian mcaffrey is injured he's got a calf issue that he's dealing with the 49ers believe he will not be participatory in in the preseason and so because of that we're going to ask the question does he still belong at the 1.1 if you're drafting on August 8th if you're drafting on August 15th the answer to that might be no but I think most people are going to have their home League drafts toward the end of the month and at that point mcaffrey is probably still going to be the best pick however I wanted to go through a scenario for people who are Maybe still a little bit too nervous about it because you don't want to draft a guy who's already injured that typically in the past has led to bad news for Fantasy so we're going to go with this draft not taking mcaffrey um I think that's easier to do by the way if it was a three wide receiver One Flex League where you're locked into having to bring more receivers to your lineup I typically am going to want to do it anyway with more white outs especially in PPR and half PPR mcaffry would be the 101 for me if he were healthy but right now we don't know that he is we're going to take CD lamb here and by the way we're still waiting to see on a contract for him so if the hold out continues you may still have questions about CD lamb as you get deeper into draft season but for now that's what we're going to go with we're going to see how it plays out here uh pukaa going at 111 here uh by the computer on sleeper kind of crazy with his week- toe injury he's got a knee that he's dealing with I think puka probably going to slide as people realize he's you know not going to be playing in the preseason and there might be some question for his Readiness for the regular season but now that we have CD lamb we're up again at the 2.12 who's the pick going to be I to me we probably don't leave this turn without Sam leapor the fact that he's dropped to the back of the second I do have him as the tight end one on the season um Travis Kelce certainly could end up being that maybe Trey McBride maybe Mark Andrews I like that the tight ends in that range Dalton concade pits all the way down to KD I'm really go uh kind of good with spending draft capital on at ADP but I I think at the turn I want to make sure to grab who I believe could be an elite tight end and I always like to grab a li didn't get Aman Ross St Brown obviously from here didn't get jir Gibbs so I'm going to grab a lion and probably take Sam lorta while we're looking though this is a good strategy on the turn you can wait and delay your pick until the last second take a look at the rest of the draft board one QB already off the board I don't know how much I love and this is why it's kind of going to be difficult if you have the 1.1 to not take maccaffrey because I don't love the running backs as much anymore in this tier uh it's interesting and a lot of the mock drafts that I have done on this channel guys like derck Henry and Devon ichan have been available here and sometimes even Travis etn U but granted a lot of those videos have been full PPR so in half PPR I do think you're going to see all the really good rb1s go in the first round and then you kind of have to make a decision on what you want to do at the position I am going to probably end up more of a zero RB guy again in this build which I don't love this season but I'm just not enamored with peo or Josh Jacobs or Rashad white at this point in the draft um taking a look at wide receivers though man oh man I just don't with auk It's tricky because if not for all the weird hold out stuff with him I think it would be a smash but let's kind of pretend that that IU his situation for a contract gets worked out cidi Lamb's situation with a with a contract gets worked out could go jayen W he's a little banged up right now at the time let's pick iuk and see how controversial we can make this draft because I think if he if he ends up playing it's a a really nice pick and you don't have to worry about by the end of August the idea of a whole out for him probably so let's just go ahead and live in this world for a moment of a of a wide receiver core of CD lamb and Brandon auk I think is kind of interesting looking at the the running back position now as it's come off the board in the two rounds since we last selected Mixon Jacobs James Cook Pacheko Rashad white are the only running backs that have been taken since our last pick so I feel like that sort of justifies the way we felt about the running back position not as many taken as there were in the first two rounds I think you're going to get some good value in those areas but I almost prefer the wide receivers in those areas uh but we do eventually have to take a running back I'm a fan of Ken Walker I know that people are maybe concerned about his volume I think talent-wise he's one of the very best in the NFL I'm here at the four five turn I don't have a problem taking Ken Walker here you know if if people on YouTube don't like it don't take him in your draft but I'm shooting for upside if I'm taking a running back and I know that he can break 80- yard touchdowns with the best of them so he's a guy that I am interested in in definitely considering at this point in the draft and he will probably be my pick here in the the very back of the fourth just to make sure we get a running back at this point and then I'm probably choosing uh one of my Flex spots here between Z flowers and tank Dell um flowers probably the wide receiver one for Baltimore but is that a robust passing offense to the extent that we're going to see in Houston I want so badly to believe in tank Dell and his ability to establish volume along with CJ stoud there in Houston but um I don't know it's kind of a tossup for me I've got flowers and Dell pretty much neck and neck I'm not really looking at pickings right now especially having auk I mean if auk becomes a stealer we're not really going to want to want to have both of those guys Amari Cooper you know he could be in the trade rumors for auk as well I think it's tank Dell for me that I'm going to take here but if you're on the Z flower side of the fence there let me know in the comments and I absolutely could see that argument as well I think that's a very reasonable argument because look tank Dell could be the number three for Houston I do think more passing volume in that offense but you know do you want a good offense's wide receiver three or they wide receiver one and Z flowers I mean he made an impact as a rookie there's no reason to think year two he's not going to continue to progress there taking a look now we do still need a running back and we still need a quarterback for our starting lineup but I also am not opposed to taking another wide receiver to fill out another Flex spot here as we get into the 67 turn running back back Valu zir white is a big time fade for me this year Zach Moss I mean you're in the the deadest of the Dead zones right here starting with about Naji Harris and maybe even James Connor if Trey Benson should eat into his workload at all so it's just a dead zone to me I think there's a little more value by the time you get to like a Jaylen Warren if we can scoop him up but I think he'll probably be gone before our next pick I'm seeing this spot in the drafted quarterback though it' be a good time to take one if you like rushing upside um we could stack Dak Prescott with cidd lamb which could also be fun here's my answer if this was a six-point pass touchdown league and I don't know what the default is on sleeper I think it's four if it's six I'm going Dak because I think the touchdown upside there between lamb and Dak would be tremendous to get basically 12 points per touchdown um but I'm going to assume it's four-point default here in the way that the computer is drafting and that pushes me toward Kyler Murray because I think the rushing upside there makes up the difference so we like having him locked in at quarterback we still need a flex we still need a running back we're not taking a running back here it's just too much of a dead zone period Xavier worthy Jaden Reed are at the top of the list and I don't mind either of them lad makoni dealing with a little bit of an injury and Jim Harbaugh is being very uh squirly about the status of lad makoni and really all Chargers players right now so as a result of that we're not really looking to take lad here I don't think that would be quite a reach um understanding that we may not get him coming back though because I think with how the Draft lines up let's see where're we're at probably going to be too deep for us there Jaden Reed good piece of a Packers offense Xavier worthy I'm taking the rookie if I can click it in Time come on I almost missed it I'm I'm high on Xavier worthy I think for me he is the wide receiver I want to own the wide receiver I want to roster in Kansas City um am I buying a little too much into the camp highlights maybe uh look there could be a scenario where Rashi rice doesn't really get suspended and Xavier Worthy is you know take some time to get worked into the offense kind of like rice did as a rookie last year I Xavier Worthy is who I want though and I think that's right he was the the first wide receiver from KC drafted uh we saw Jaden Reed go a little later in the seventh round I think either of those guys are are really strong values though at their draft position um let's see though the 8 n turn now coming up I kind of like our our positioning here because lad Maki is the top wide receiver on the board we also could look at Christian Watson Jackson Smith and jiga um for people who have watched my videos I just haven't been as as enamored with Brian Thomas for whatever reason rookie I like a lot of rookies that's not one that I've really found myself Drafting and hey we mentioned that there was maybe some value on Jaylen Warren if he should drop so I think this this little round through could be a very very easy one for us as we'll probably draft Jaylen Warren I do like Trey Benson but I think if you're looking at it as an rb2 the pick is Warren if I've already drafted a few RBS and I'm looking to fill a bench spot the pick might be Trey Benson for the upside um because we just don't know I like the the upside of the unknown here so we'll take we're going to take one run running back it's going to be Jaylen Warren I the reasoning behind him is you can look Nai Harris goes 6.8 Warren goes 8.12 I think they're going to split the backfield so Warren is the better value to me and the running back that I would prefer to roster in Pittsburgh na will probably get more of the Red Zone more of the goal line but that's okay this is still half Point PPR where I think jayen Warren can still Thrive I like lad makoni I don't I don't really think there's any way I I don't take him some consideration to jsn and Christian Watson but I makoni is a guy that I really do want to have a piece of and with him being a bench selection here I can't think of a better way to do it because I'm not relying upon him early if he does have an injury to begin the season lots of picks flying off the board here feel like sleeper kind of going slow today but we're now going to attack the 10-11 turn quarterback we feel good about having Kyler Murray but now you see like Jaden Daniels would be the really the last quarterback with some rushing upside that if you really punt on the position you can probably get him pretty late um in fact this team a has drafted Daniels as their backup to Joe burrow so I don't think that'll normally happen um usually by the end of August the the rookie quarterback or the upside rushing quarterback that everybody's thinking is interesting at the end he gets pushed up to round eight or so and that'll probably happen with Jaden Daniels eight or nine um but I just wanted to mention his name because I think he's interesting at that point in the draft especially if you still find yourself in need of a need of a quarterback all right let's kind of figure out what we want to do with this turn we've got our starting lineup filled out now it's just about getting the bench done probably would like a little bit more at the running back position and lo and behold here's my guy Chase Brown sitting here I'll 1012 I'll take him every single draft there's I I don't think he's going to still be there by the time your draft rolls around but if he is I would take him in the ninth honestly if if lad makoni weren't here and I had my full spreadsheet with me I'm probably glad to take Chase Brown 9.1 just to make sure I lock him in I think that's a great RV to have if I'm getting him at at a bench price I love it I'm really happy about that trying to figure out what else we want to do here um we're pretty balanced honestly now we've got got three running backs that's enough um we could take another one here though because I really think after about Jaylen right my Intrigue at the running back position starts to sharply decline uh I do have Ken Walker so you could handcuff with Zack shanet if you wanted to for the purposes of the draft I'm probably going to go with another option uh Jerome could easily be uh Workhorse back for Cleveland let's see what happens with Nick chub and the rest of that backfield we'll grab ourselves another AFC North running back I feel like this is a common kind of thread for me at this point in the draft to take two guys that I think Chase Brown and Jerome 4 could see volume and my gosh we really did attack the AFC North with Jaylen Warren as well um our our only non AFC North running back is Ken Walker two picks to go we're looking at uh the fact that Jaylen Wright's still sitting here I'm going to draft him love the upside don't need another running back but happy to take him there's really not a backup quarterback that I feel compelled to take in a 12 team League there's going to be plenty on waivers I think in that format uh don't really see any backup tight ends Ben sinate is maybe the one that I would consider but at this point in the draft you're just sort of uh kind of feeling your way through here is an area where I am going to maybe do a little bit of handcuffing I'm going to take Ricky peol which handcuffs BR and iuk but if auk is traded that actually raises P CS value quite a bit for San Francisco so this was an example of a draft that we don't take Christian mcaffrey 1.1 how do we end up feeling about the way that it plays out as a result going over the roster Kyler the quarterback Sam leaport this the tight end those are my onesie positions and I think we got great names at both those spots RB is probably our weakness But Ken Walker I think can be a home run hitter Jaylen Warren uh would like these guys a little more Jaylen Warren and PPR but it is Half Point PPR uh Chase Brown Jerome Ford easily could Ascend to surpass Jaylen Warren as my rb2 we'll have one of the weaker rb1s in the league but we're okay with that because nobody else is CD lamb and we think Brandon auk if he gets his contract disputed settled is going to be uh within the top 12 wide receivers probably this year tank Dell Xavier worthy I feel pretty good about both those guys honestly I know there might be some volume concerns uh in in the case of worthy you know he's a rookie so we haven't really seen him but I like him there and I feel good about like these are the bench targets that I am typic Ally going to be going after round by round and and we landed a lot of guys that we really feel good about so let me know in the comments what you think of this video and
