Angelina Jolie is getting candid about her personal relationships the actress who is currently promoting her new film Maria sits down with The Hollywood Reporter for a new cover story in it the Oscar winner reveals her Inner Circle is very small admitting she doesn't have many close friends the star says I don't really have those kinds of relationships maybe it's losing your parent young maybe it's working maybe it's being somebody who's been betrayed a lot I don't have a lot of those warm close relationships as much that I lean on Angelina's comments about being betrayed come in the same interview that she refuses to talk about another Hot Topic her ex Brad Pitt when reporter Rebecca Keegan asks may I ask what the status of your divorce is Jolie responds simply no the two who share six kids together split in 2016 but have been embroiled in a messy divorce battle for years in the interview it's noted that Angelina draws firm boundaries on some topics explaining that things have changed in Hollywood that before quote you could have this messy private process and the work spoke adding now the audience's relationship is different I'm trying to get used to what to share the 49-year-old is currently attending the Venice Film Festival where she's stirring up Oscar buzz for her performance as opera singer Maria Callas in her new film Maria she opened up during a press conference on August 29th about turning pain into art and the emotional art form of Opera I think when your life is full when you've felt a certain level of despair of pain um of Love at a certain point there is only certain sounds that can match that feeling and to me the immensity of the feeling encapsulated within the sounds of Opera um there is nothing there's nothing like it and that that feeling that would move all of us if we were to hear it would be the only sound that would explain that pain [Music]
