Hotel workers in Baltimore, Maryland are joining the nationwide strike against major chains. 10,000 workers at chains including Marriott and Hyatt walked off the job last week in nine cities. Workers say they're pushing for the union to give them higher wages and fairer workloads. Hyatt says it's disappointed the workers went on strike because the chain says they are still willing to negotiate. Clearly, we're fighting for equality of pay. You know, we work for a company where the 52 week high as far as the stock is concerned has been over 220 in some cases, $225 a share. Uh and you know, needless to say that the company is profitable. So we're fighting for equitable, you know, money across the board because we're the ones that put in the sweat and we're the ones to keep the doors open. The strike in Baltimore is expected to last the next three days.
