go in the latest debate former president Donald Trump's performance may have seem blackluster compared to some observers but vice president KLA Harris has also faced criticism for several inaccuracies one significant point of contention was Harris's inconsistent stance on fracking during the 2020 presidential race Harris took a firm position against fracking but in this debate she defended President Biden's policy on the same issue revealing a shift in her position that Trump was quick to highlight another notable um error when it came to Harris criticized Trump for allegedly calling white supremacist very fine people in reality Trump never used those words to describe white supremacist he did however release a statement condemning hate groups shortly after the controversy this misrepresentation of Trump's comments was a key point of contention additionally Harris made claims about Trump's involvement with the Heritage Foundation project 2025 far rate Manifesto these claims were not sub sustained adding to the debate's overall confusion since Trump has not has stated that he has not read project 2025 and he has nothing to do with it despite these inaccuracies and a performance that may have found less than an impressive than the previous debates Trump remains steadfast in his race to the White House for the 2024 presidential race
