how you doing I'm KCAL meteorologist Paul Deo and this is your weather wow for today this summer we have had zero measurable rainfall in Los Angeles that would be unfathomable in most of the country but we do it pretty often here we have had no measurable rain in all of June all of July and now all of August when we get to the end of August this will be the 21st time we've done this a lot 21st time this has happened over the past 147 years that's how long we have good weather data that's 14% of the time we go 0 for the summer but it gets even better than that as of this taping we have gone 114 consecutive days without any measurable rainfall in Los Angeles last time it rained was May the 5th Cinco Deo was the last time it rained in Los Angeles it has been almost 4 months since then and amazingly that only ranks Us number 76 all time we got to go a couple more weeks to get top 50 we got to go almost another month to go top 25 and the long streak was more than 7 months now how long are some of the other streaks around the country longest streaks without having any rain for Chicago they've never gone one month without measurable rainfall their all-time record is 25 New York City's all-time record is 36 Dallas has a pretty good one it's 84 days ours right now is 114 days in counting and with very little rainfall in the extended forecast I would not be surprised at all if our streak eventually makes it to to 130 or 140 straight days without any rain in Los Angeles with your weather wow I'm KCAL meteorologist Paulo
