hey wolf pack today we're diving deep into the Tampa 3 defense one of the most underrated and overpowered coverages in NCA football 25 I'll take you through the setup why it's so effective and share five crucial defens of lessons to elevate your game let's get started the game plan in this video I'm going to use the Tampa 3 coverage to try and make the gauntlet by winning 16 games in Champions this means facing off against some of the toughest players in the world and to make it even more challenging I'll be doing it with only an 80 overall team so let's break down the Tampa 3 first what is Tampa 3 the Tampa 3 is a defensive Shell built out of the cover two play in The Big Nickel over G formation this formation is unique because it allows different individual adjustments for your safeties and Slot quarterback now let's teach you how to set up the Tampa 3 first select cover two in The Big Nickel over G formation two adjust your safeties double tap wire triangle to pull up your defensive back icons select your left safety and press left on the left stick to put them in a left outside third repeat this same process for the right safety pressing right on the left stick to put them in a right outside third third adjust your slot Corner double tap wire triangle again select the slot corner back and press up on the left stick to put them in a middle third now you might be wondering why run a Tampa 3 instead of a standard cover three here are two big reasons first sideline protection in a standard cover Three Corner routes can be a nightmare as the outside third corner back gets pulled Deep by a streak leaving the corner route wide open in Tampa 3 the outside third handles the streak while the cloud flat the outside cornerback covers the corner route effectively second baiting interceptions the initial movement of your safeties in a Tampa 3 looks like a cover two tricking your opponent into thinking the Deep middle is wide open but your slot quarterback in the middle third is ready to pick those deep throws off here are a few more Tampa 3 tips Tampa 3 has been an effective base defense for many years but the new Switch stick mechanic can take this defense to a whole new level the switch stick allows you to change who you are guarding mid playay by flicking the right stick with a strong base defense of coverage like Tampa 3 there are likely only a handful of Route combos your opponent will have to beat it if you can quickly identify which play your opponent is running you can switch stick to the AI Defender responsible for defending that part of the field and your opponent's mnny routes lastly if you don't have big nickel over G in your playbook you may still be able to to run a Tampa 3 defense go into any nickel formation and change your sub package to either a big big nickel over G or a sub safety package now it's finally time to show you the Tampa 3 in action let's get started our first game was against the god Squad and I'll be honest with you it was a horrible start for a defensive tip video but I promise it gets better our opponent took the opening kickoff for a touchdown and after a quick turnover they scored again taking a commanding lead we finally caught a break in the the third quarter when they fumbled on an option play allowing us to return it for a much needed touchdown however we struggled to secure the second stop we needed to get back into the game this brings us to our first valuable lesson focus on what you can control what do I mean by that well our opponents had players with 90 speed while our team was sitting at a mediocre 80 speed there weren't many adjustments I could make to counter their speed Advantage we were trading touchdown back and forth trying to keep up but it felt like we were running in quicksand while they had turbo boosters in the end we came just one onside kick short of winning our first game it was a tough loss but it taught us that we needed to focus on maximizing speed and our team building efforts moving forward our second game was against the team similar to ours and we got off to a hot start by intercepting their first drive and turning that into a touchdown with some help from our defense my opponent managed to drive down the field but this foreshadowed our second lesson make your opponent have long drives and beat themselves by forcing them to execute Play after play they become more likely to make mistakes sure enough we caught an easy interception ruining their promising Drive our opponent continued to struggle against our Tampa 3 defense throwing another interception that led to another touchdown and an eventual rage quit this Victory marked our first win improving our record to one andone in game number three we faced another God Squad that was much better than ours we gave up a quick touchdown but we adapted by not over adjusting which became our lesson number three when your opponent scores it's easy to want to make immediate adjustments but we stuck with our base defense as a result we managed to intercept the ball not once but twice leading to a rage quit and in our second victory in game number four we faced the team slightly better than ours despite that we started out Strong by scoring a touchdown on our first drive and then picking off our opponent on their first drive for a pick six however luck was on their side as their wide receiver broke tackles as if he had angry runs allowing my opponent to get back into the game we fought back by scoring on our next drive and then the tie turned when my opponent fumbled while fighting for extra yardage we capitalized on this opportunity and scored yet another touchdown taking a commanding three-score lead my opponent threw another interception before pulling the pug giving us our third Victory and proving our record to 3 and one overall in game number five we faced the team similar in overall to ours it was an offensive struggle as I threw two interceptions to start the game this was followed by a failed fourth down conversion and yet another Angry Run Style run by my opponent at this point I was raging which led us the key concept number four keep your cool sport video games can be infuriating but that frustration doesn't help and likely will make things worse unexpectedly my opponent ended up dropping connection giving us the ultimate RNG outcome and our fourth win improving our record to 4 in one in game number six we had another fair fight from a team perspective our defense came to play as we intercepted our opponent on their first drive after a low-scoring affair we finally broke through with a connection to Hunter who broke a tackle and raced off to the end zone but we weren't done yet we picked off our opponent again leading to a touchdown just before halftime the final straw came in the third quarter when we intercepted our opponent for a third time forcing a rage quit and securing our fifth Victory our record improved to 5- one game number seven was let's just say frustrating it started with my opponent threading the needle walking a tight rope breaking a tackle and outrunning our defense for a quick touchdown what began as a questionable catch ended up resulting in six points we responded by scoring seven on our next drive but we then gave the ball back to my opponent we either threw the hottest dot of all time or the luckiest pass imaginable either way it was another touchdown teaching us lesson number five recognized that luck won't last I knew my opponent's first two drives weren't repeatable and all all I had to do was keep answering on offense and I was right on the next possession he threw into my cloud flat leading us to score six points before halftime my opponent's first possession out of half time once again stalled as we defended against a desperation throw on fourth down this set up yet another bomb to Hunter allowing us to take a commanding two-score lead my opponent had enough and pulled the plug giving us our six straight win now unfortunately life happened so I wasn't able to finish all 20 games however if we apply my win percentage to 20 games we would have won approximately 17 games reaching our goal was this a w or an l
