Your complete forecast coming up. >> Thousands of hotel workers are on strike across the U.S. this Labor Day after contract negotiations stalled with with hotel chains Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott. Workers walked off the job on Sunday in major cities including San Francisco, Boston and in Seattle. The strikes are expected to last up to three days. Good evening, and thanks for joining us on this Labor Day at six. I'm David Rose. And I'm Neil Wong. >> The local hotels affected are West and Seattle. The Seattle airport Hilton and the DoubleTree Seattle Airport. Fox Thirteen's Alejandra Guzman spoke with some striking workers about what they hope to accomplish. >> Workers are demanding better workloads and more money. They say they simply can't live off their current salary. Some of the employees that walked off the job include housekeepers, dishwashers, cooks and front desk agents. Anyone and everyone that it takes to run a hotel make them pay. >> What better way to celebrate Labor Day than being out on a picket line and fighting for workers to get what they deserve? >> Hotel workers in Seattle are out at the picket lines demanding fair wages and better working and staffing conditions. As the hospitality industry recovers from the pandemic. >> Since the business has come back from the pandemic, the hotels have not brought back full staff. Get up, get down. >> Seattle is a union town. The strike comes after months of failed negotiations for these workers, primarily immigrants and people of color contracts ended back in May with the Westin, DoubleTree and the Hilton hotels. >> We are very far away. The hotel has offered pennies from what we need in Seattle. >> Hotel revenue brought in $898.1 million in 2023. That's a 50% increase from 2022, according to Visit Seattle to Cook. >> I just like my job. I like my work. >> Workers like Aisha Hajiyeva already work 6 to 7 days a week. They say they're forced to work 2 to 3 jobs just to make ends meet. >> We work only for surviving, for food. >> Many of them are losing out on holiday pay. Demanding what they say is fair. >> We are a human being. We want to live as a human being normally. >> Hotel workers will end their strike tomorrow. The Westin has now offered employees a September 24th as their next bargaining date. Union leaders, though, are pushing for an earlier date. As of the hour, there is no negotiation session in the books for those employees who do work at Hilton Hotels,
