what's up sports fans this is the Lucas Ross Sports channel we continue here with my 2024 predictions for the upcoming 2024 college football season the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are up next of course a very big surprise team from last year in 2023 Georgia Tech going 7- six overall and making it to a bowl game so yeah they were a very big surprise last year it seems like this program is now heading in the right direction uh my thoughts on this team for 202 four I think they have a chance to be pretty solid uh you know they may not be the most talented team in the country but they could be like a decent team and overall a very solid team as well you look at the offensive side of the football I think they're going to be really you know decent they the and pretty solid as well they got hannes King coming back at quarterback so I think the quarterback Position will be pretty good for them I think they'll be really good at you know on the offensive side of the football so I think they'll have a chance to be pretty solid there they're not going to be the most talented offense in the country don't get me wrong but I think they'll be pretty solid there uh very consistent as well and then defensively I do have a lot of concerns about the defense for Jordan they did lose a good amount of players and a good amount of you know good players on that side of the football from last year so maybe joria Tech takes a big step back from where they were on the defensive side of the football from last year so but let's go ahead and get to the schedule now here for 2024 here is the schedule here for Georgia Tech they have a pretty tough schedule this year in 2024 they do have a tough schedule every year but I think it's even more tougher than it was last year again they were 7- six last year in 2023 so let's go game by game now and give you a record prediction here for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets for 2024 and of course they start things off with Florida State here on August 24th this will be a week zero game uh this game of course will be in Dublin Ireland I think Florida State clearly is the better team here but I do expect Jordan Tech to really be competitive in this game maybe for a half or two maybe it's like close in the first half but I think Florida State probably finds a way to pull away in the second half I know Florida State's not going to be the same team as they were from last year the passing game could be a very big concern here for the seminal you know in the first few weeks but I think Florida State finds a way to pull away here in the second half so I think Georgia Tech starts off you know the season with a loss here to Florida State in Dublin Ireland in week number zero so I got them starting off 0 and one but then they take care of business against Georgia State here on August 31st and I think they get their first win of the Season here and that puts their record now here at 1 and one next game is on the road here at Syracuse on September 7th very tough game here on the road Syracuse I think is going to be pretty good this year I know a lot of people are not really high on this team last year and I know people are kind of you know saying they're going to be overrated I think this is an underrated team I think this could be a sneaky good team in the ACC uh definitely not on the level like you know Clemson and all those other teams that are very talented in this conference but I do expect a really competitive game here in this one you know Jord Tech and Syracuse I think are both pretty even teams I kind of been back and forth on this game it kind of really came down to the HomeField Advantage for me I think it's going to be a really close game it could be a low-scoring type game it could probably go two different ways it could be a shootout it could be like a low-scoring game it could be a defensive battle but I'm going to say that Syracuse playing at home a home field advantage will be the difference in this one I think the orange get the win here Over Georgia Tech so that puts Georgia Tech's record now here at one and two that's their second loss year of the season but then they'll take care of business against BMI here on September 14th I think that probably should be their easiest win here on this schedule and then probably they'll win that one by a blowout to be honest because that Georgia State game won't be an easy one because that game you know is a non-conference game yes Georgia Tech might be the better team but Georgia state's a pretty good team out of the Sun Belt so I do expect an easy win here though against BMI I think Georgia Tech improves to two and two they get a bounceback win after the lost to Syracuse and then after that they'll play on the road here at louville on September 21st uh this is going to be a very tricky one here on the road at Louisville I think Jord Tech will be very competitive in this game this game actually was very competitive last year in Atlanta usually like a turnover really changed the difference between both of these teams uh Louisville actually kind of like was the better team last year but joria Tech came out really fighting hard in that game from last year but this year I think they'll be more competitive I think it probably could be a game that goes into the fourth quarter but I think this game is kind of similar to like the Florida State game I think it's going to be a game where Lille probably pulls away in the second half so I think the Cardinals playing at home also I think Lille pulls away from georia Tech here in the second half and I think they get their win here so that puts georia Tech record now here at 2 and three and then after that they get a bye here before playing Duke at home here on October 5th uh this is a pretty good spot for a byee after playing like five games in a row ever since that week Zero game against Florida State I think Jord Tech actually gets a pretty easy win here I'm not really that high on the Blue Devils this year don't really think they're going to be the same team as they were in the last couple years when Mike ELO was their head coach they have a new head coach this year and I think the roster is going to be a little bit different as well here for the Blue Devils so I think Jord Tech gets a pretty easy win here and they get their first Conference win here on this schedule against Duke so that puts their record now here at 3 and three and then after that they'll play North Carolina here on the road on October 12th I mean obviously this has been a really back and forth series here between the Tar Heels and the yellow jackets this time Jordan detch plays North Carolina here on the road I remember a couple years ago georia Tech actually went on the road and beat North Carolina so it seems like georia Tech has dominated the series as of late but North Carolina definitely is the more talented team here I think the tar Hills will be fired up for this one they're definitely out for Revenge here after the couple losses in a row again Jordan beat North Carolina last year at home they did it a couple years ago on on the road at North Carolina but I think this time the Tar Heels will be ready for this one and I think they'll come out really fired up and got revenge on their minds as well so I think Georgia Tech will lose their fourth game here of the Season here on the road at North Carolina that puts their record now here at three and four next game will be at home against Notre Dame on October 19th this is going to be a very tricky game here for georia Tech even though it's a home game here for the yellow jackets Notre Dame going to be a very talented team this year potentially like a top 10 team as well uh Notre Dame's G to have a lot of Talent on their roster and I think they're definitely the more talented team compared to Georgia Tech this game probably like similar to the Louisville and Forida State games uh you know maybe Notre Dame probably pulls away in the second half so I think that's what's going to happen here I think the Fighting Irish are definitely the more talented team here I think Notre Dame does pull away here from joria Tech even though I think joria Tech playing at home they'll come out really fired up for this one but it won't be enough to pull off a huge upset I'm going to go with Notre Dame here just because they're the more talented team so that's two losses in a row there for the yellow jackets so that puts their record now here at three and five then after that they'll play on the road here at Virginia Tech on October 26 very tough place to play Virginia Tech with a lot of experience coming back they have the most experience coming back in the conference and also mainly in the country and I've already done my Virginia Tech video from last week and I did choose Virginia Tech to win this game Virginia Tech with all the experience that they have coming back I think they're going to be really really good this year and a very talented team as as well plus playing on the road that's a very tough place to play I'm going to go with Virginia Tech here just because it's on the road here for Georgia Tech so I'm going I think Georgia Tech loses their third game here in a row so that puts their record now at three and six and then after that they'll play at home against Miami here on November 9th I'm pretty sure they get a byee before playing this game which I think it's a really good spot for a bye and I think all the teams that have like a week Zero game like get three by weeks on their schedule so this is their second bye here before playing Miami I Miami is going to be definitely more you know better than they were from last year of course you know Jord Tech pulled off like a big shocker from last year Miami was kind of like one nil away from winning this game fairly easily but Miami actually made a big mistake at the end of the game and Jord Tech of course scored a hell Mary you know at the end of the game to win this one so I think it I don't think the game's going to be pretty similar to last year I think Miami definitely will be ready for this one even though it's a home game here for Georgia Tech I think the hurricanes come out pretty fired up and they also got revenge on their minds so I think Miami does win this one but I think it's going to be a close game I think it could be a game that goes into the fourth quarter I don't really think it's going to be like similar to the Louisville and like Florida State and under Dame games I think it's probably going to be a game that goes into the fourth quarter so I think Jord Tech does lose a close one here to Miami again I think the Hurricanes get revenge here on the yellow jackets from last year so that's going to be Jordan Tech's seventh loss here this season which means they'll miss out on a bowl game but then after that they'll play NC State here on November 20 first they get another byee before playing this game so again that's their third byee here and they do play on a Thursday night here so they do have a lot of time to prepare for this game against NC State here on November 21st I think NC State's going to be pretty good this year they're going to be obviously a very consistent team in the ACC uh you know I've already done my NC State video from like a couple weeks ago and I did choose georia tech to pull off a huge upset here in this one but you never know four losses in a row georia Tech you know their coach probably could be fired by this point but you know they are probably you know are going to be like desperate for a win as well here I think they come out really fired up for this game it's a Thursday night game it's kind of one of those trap games there for NC State at the be at the end of November and after four losses in a row I think Georgia Tech finally gets their second win here in the conference so I think Georgia Tech gets a big win here against NC State at home here on November 21st so that puts their record now here at 4- 7 and then the final game of the season of course on the road here at Georgia on November 30th and as a Georgia Tech fan if I was a Georgia Tech fan it's obviously very tough to play Georgia every single year of course it's a rivalry game anything can happen but Georgia has really dominated the series as of late and you know Georgia's just been the overall the very more talented team I know the game was really close last year you know Georgia Tech might be very competitive in this game but I don't think it will be competitive I don't really see this game being all that close I think Georgia definitely wins this one fairly easily the Bulldogs have a lot of production coming back as well so I think Georgia definitely defitely uh you know clearly the favorites to win the national championship this year and definitely the favorites to win their conference as well I got the Bulldogs getting the win there and giving Georgia Tech their eighth loss here of the season so that puts Georgia Tech's record now at 4-8 so that's my final prediction here for the yellow jackets I know this is a program that really came off a really good season last year but this is a very tough schedule that's the reason why I had a really hard time with Jord Tech's prediction uh you know there are very winnable games here on this schedule you got Syracuse that's a very winnable game you got lble on the road that's a winnable game and then you got North Carolina Notre Dame and Virginia Tech in Miami all these games are pretty winnable in the conference but against Florida State you know and probably Georgia I don't really see them probably winning those games uh you know Florida State definitely a lot more talented than Georgia Tech and then of course Georgia way more talented than Georgia Tech as well but again a lot of very winnable games here on this schedule and then same thing with Notre Dame I probably don't see them winning that game either I got Jord Tech finishing with a record of 4 eight here for 2024 so let me guys know what you think about this Georgia Tech Team what do you think
