welcome to Calgary uh let's start with that you're from Texas I think you had to try it with the Colts can you just talk a little bit about your path and how you got to Calgary for this uh for and signing here yeah uh so obviously I went uh through the draft process and then I ended up with the goals for that weekend and uh things didn't work out there and then I got back home in Dallas Sunday night and then I was on a flight Monday morning here so I've never been to Canada I've heard great things about it um and yeah so I got here Monday night and hit the ground running and how's it been going so far out here it's good it's been an adjustment I mean I've never played Canadian Rules Football it's a different game in some aspects uh just playing American football since I was four years old so it's just learning a new game and then I'm getting it down it's just a lot of learning and a lot of reps so it's going day by day so there's the waggle what else has been difficult to adjust to or what's been challenging for you I would think the I mean obviously the waggle but they end up in the same spots as American football it's just the 12th player um it's different you learn your whole life about certain things that you can do with 11 players on the field and then you get here and you try to think of that aspect and then oh crap there's another guy right there so it's a it's a different it's an adjustment and I'm still working through it and I'm really excited about the the growth I'm having can you describe just what sort of quarterback you are and what you think you can bring to this team yeah I'm uh I'm a winner I'm a proven winner I've uh I've won wherever where I've been I bring leadership I'm not always the loudest guy but I do it by example and uh I feel like I can make plays from inside the pocket now and just having confidence guys having confidence in me and we have a really great group we have great running backs great online and uh great receivers from what I've seen in the last few days so I'm excited about the group and hopefully uh you get a chance to show this uh this team what I have you set some record records with the Aggies with um passing and touchdowns did you feel that that game can transfer here to the Canadian game yeah absolutely it's a bigger field it's way bigger a lot more space even if you have a 12th guy it's a lot more space on the field and I think that it gives me opportunities to sling the ball around and make plays and we have unbelievable Playmakers from what I've seen the last few days and I'm excited to work with them if you ever thought would it mean to you to make this team I mean everything I mean it's this dream to play professional football um obviously growing up I didn't really think about Canada that much but obviously you grow up and you uh you you know about certain leagues and obviously it's a great League this is I think the second best league in North America to be honest for football and I'm just I'm just blessed to be here and I'm trying to make a team and it'd be a dream come true [Music]
