and two-time Super Bowl champ Brian MC fadness the way is finally over feels so good to be able to finally be able to say that I will at least say that the first two days that we got to see of the NFL season at least didn't disappoint for me and I expect several matchups on Sunday to follow sup but one that I'm kind of zeroing in honor those two young signal callers I'm talking about the seconde guys looking to build off those campaigns CJ stra who's changed the trajectory of the Texans franchise and Anthony Richardson had an abbreviated rookie start but looking to pick up where he left off but looking at these two players between these two Young Guns who are you looking to win this AFC South Battle of course I'm taking CJ straw because he's the better pure quarterback right now as we see it he did a lot a year ago Not only was he the best rookie in his rookie class in 2023 but he was also one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League and his offense they got better add it Joe Mixon add it ston digs along with some key pieces on the defensive side to already playoff ready team made team you got to like you like you like their chances but I'll say this this game won't be an easy out uh these two teams match up very very well against each other they know each other extremely well as well and remember a year ago that final week of the season I mean the Colts gave Houston everything they wanted plus more with Gardner muu at the quarterback position so with Anthony Richardson there I think this game will be very very competitive these divisional matchups especially early on in the year could be ugly like matchups when it comes to style points or the like thereof but for me when it's all said and done I'm riding with CJ stra because like I stated in my initial uh statement he is the better pure quarterback of the two how quickly we do forget though with Garner menu under Center last year and we can't forget that that division was finalized by a single game at the end of last season but like you said a lot of those new pieces out in Texas with out with Houston and that's already a playoff caliber roster right there but let's go from a battle of QBs to a battle of head coaches Antonio Pearson barking on his first full season as the head coach out in Vegas going with that guy we were just talking about Gardner muu running that offense and then Jim Harbaugh making his return to the NFL Sidelines so looking at these two head coaches who's your pick between these this is I've been going back and forth with this pick because I don't know what I'm going to see from the Chargers and I really don't know what I'm going to see from the Raiders especially with Gardner menu the new starting quarter back there in Viva Las Vegas so with that being said I am taking the charges because I do know this Justin Herbert is a better quarterback than what the Raiders have at their disposal right now and in totality coach Hall is a better Coach than Antonio Pierce and he's shown the ability and pass stops as a head coach to revitalize that said program faster than what people thought he could do so I'm kind of banking on that right now Kiana this is another divisional matchup where both teams even though this is a new regime in the with the Chargers they know each other well this is the Rival they they play each other twice every year in the same division but I'm taking coach H BAU and Justin Herbert in the charges in this matchup okay so my question with this one and I hear what you're saying when I'm going with quarterback I'm looking at kind of tried and true we know Jim Harbaugh and what how he's been able to turn around franchises programs but my question is there's so many Miss missing pieces not even missing but pieces that are no longer there in LA and then we look at this Raiders defense we still have a you got Max Crosby Max Crosby there got some guys and and and for the Chargers Kiana don't forget they got khil ma they got they got Samuels Asante Samuels Jr Derwin James so they got some dudes on the defensive side it's more about the concerns I agree with you when it comes to the offense what are you going to get outside of Justin Herbert tossing it around the yard to a bunch of new pass catches to say the least and the running game it's a musical chair like situation in the back field for the Chargers but it's a quarterback League okay right and when you have a good quarterback and a good coach you can be in positions to win ball games especially in an evenly matched type situation good good quarterback good coach just hoping that Justin Herbert's injury doesn't linger too long into the uh the season but I want to head to the Sunshine State sh we it's an AFC battle between two postseason hopefuls we got the Dolphins hosting the Jags Jags who they had a hot start last year kind of had that collapse going into the latter half of that season the Dolphins fallen short in the postseason but I want to know which Florida Squad do you think opens the season I'm taking the squad that's that that's further north and Duo I'm taking Jacksonville now hear me out I'm taking Jacksonville because I think defensively they're the healthier unit out of the two with Miami and Jacksonville Jacksonville they're more healthy healthier they're healthier and I like the duo of pass rushers Travon Walker and Josh Allen is going to cause some fits for Tua Tong of vioa in my opinion and I think that could be the final say so in the termining who will win this ball game if Miami was fully healthy you know I think I might side of the wise but defense has to matter at some point in time you know they got a bunch of track runners on the offensive side for the Miami Dolphins but the best way to slow those guys down is not to steal their spikes but to push pressure on the quarterback right if you put pressure on the quarterback it doesn't matter how fast they're running he can't get them the football so that's what I'm anticipating on seeing with this matchup down in Miami Gardens Travon walker uh Josh Allen finding a way to harass Tu Tonga vioa so he won't be able to get out to his 60 meter sprint Champions and uh Jaylen wad uh and and Tyreek Hill uh yeah and then also adding Eric arm Armstead along that dline the interior like yeah this is a really good defense but then you also have a such a really good offense when you're talking about W when you're talking about Tyreek and then how they run the ball taking that kind of Shanahan scheme so it's going to be an interesting match up which one prevails offense or defense we going to find out in about taking defense of course of course I expect nothing less of you be has big question marks surrounding two of his past catchers ahead of Sunday's tilt against the Patriots Jamar Chase's status already in question for week one while awaiting that new contract but now has found himself on the injury report he asked the T Higgins who tweaked his hamstring this week so what should we expect out of Zack Taylor's guys on Sunday our Evan wasburn is down in ciny with more week one in the NFL is often defined by the unknowns so no matchup better showcases that mystery than Bengals Patriots now the Bengals come into this game as heavy favorites but there's still plenty of questions surrounding this team especially on offense top among them the availability of wide receiver Jamar Chase who after a prolonged offseason contract negotiation which at the time of this taping has yet to be agreed to Chase is listed as questionable now Saturday afternoon illness was added to that designation we spoke to chase on Friday he was healthy he talked about his love for football his desire to play in this game but did not confirm that he would now complicating matter his fellow top threat in the passing Game T Higgins is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury we do not expect Higgins to play so for Joe burrow in this offense they plan on leaning on what they feel is a really deep tight end group led by the new addition in Mike kasiki as for the Patriots it's a new era post Bill bich they're led by Gerard Mayo as head coach and jacobe Brett back under Center and Kobe Bret won the job over the rookie in top five pick Drake May due to his experience in his command of Alex Van pelt's offense now as for a formula to pull off this upset they want a clean game they're going to lean on the Run game and that means a big day hopefully for the Patriots from rre Stevenson and he understands that there's
