all right so I just finished watching uh episode four of hard Kno training camp with the Bears and uh so far this is probably my least favorite episode I thought it was still a good episode but um this episode mainly focused on the guys that could potentially make the roster and be cut rather than like I guess the star guys you would say like a Caleb or Rome uh we didn't see much of them we saw like brief segments of them saw Caleb Williams getting talked about like with the like with like spiking the ball because at the end of one of the Minnesota Vikings preseason games uh that was a problem apparently we saw Caleb then and then we saw romad dun grow to the grocery store um those were the only two times who saw those guys though I did see Monte sweat like one time this episode which was pretty cool and it seems like I I haven't seen him at all during hard knock like he hasn't gotten any screen time at all which I mean kind of sucks but I mean I mean it was cool seeing him for like two three seconds in this episode so shout out to Mont sweat but um the main guys getting the focus in this episode were guys like Ian wheeler vs Jones Jr Austin Reed and Adrien Colbert and uh I still enjoyed uh watching them but they don't just they don't have the same star power it's like a Caleb or Rome or uh Jaylen Johnson or Ken Allen but um it was still cool seeing their story and trying to see if they were going to make the roster or not but uh the episode where we're going to see a bunch of roster cuts that might be uh a tough episode to watch next week but uh looking forward to that episode one guy who had a pretty big role in this episode was Adrien Colbert and he has a pretty interesting story to tell a pretty traumatic story cuz uh when he was 9 years old uh he got hit by a car while riding bike and uh he was apparently in a coma for two weeks and he almost died and like the doctors told him he would never play football again but um he kept with football and that he made it all the way to an NFL roster which is very very impressive and that's just that's just a hell of a story now I'm not talking 53 Manor roster uh we'll probably get into that next harx episode uh but he he got all the way to the NFL and that that is just an impressive accomplishment right there even even if you don't make the roster uh getting to that point is very impressive Ian Willer was a guy who got a lot of screen time this episode uh I think he probably get the most screen time out of any Chicago Bear in this episode showed him at training camp improving a lot and even the coaches said that he was a better player than he was entering training camp like he he's improved a lot and uh they've been trying to get the most out of him especially the main running backs coach he's been torture I wouldn't say torturing him but he's been a little hard on him and uh I I think it's paid off because uh he's a better player and um you can't really blame the coach either because that dude ran a 43 Ian wheeler did and if you're able to mold that player and get him to the point where like he could be a contributing player to the 53 man roster and add a lot more depth to that running back room like you're going to do whatever you can to make that guy better and he also did his rookie showcase thing where he went up there and he I didn't really know what the song uh he was that sing he was singing but um uh he got the team hyped he got out the smoke machine and uh that that I was I got pretty hyped up that was pretty cool um I'm kind of surprised smoke detectors didn't go off at house hall though and also at the end of his act you start money up in the air and um I probably would have done that I probably would have used that money for medical school but you know what it was it was still a good bit I I enjoyed that part of the episode uh who else got some screen time uh Tyson bent he got some screen time as well with his dad Travis bent that guy is [ __ ] hilarious they went into a Kansas City Bar and um Travis bent he is a he's like a really good arm wrestler he goes in there and he beats some guy and that that that was cool to watch uh some armor wrestling I didn't think I would see that in hard knocks and then we get the game against Kansas City uh where the Bears won um 40 in the preseason Undisputed preseason Champs Austin Reed even said in this episode that uh they're talking about the pads the legion of boom the 85 Bears well they're going to talk about the 2024 preseason bears and how impressive they're four and0 finish was and how they're going to go down the history books and stuff but yeah without with all that out of the way let's talk about the game um Ian wheeler he got some Focus um during that game as well and unfortunately um he got hurt he tore his ACL so um he's he's not going to make the roster unfortunately his mom was in The Stance too and she she was she was very upset uh they shared a moment after the game and that was that really tugg on my heart strings because you know that's pretty much a dream dying right there but uh I I just wish the best for Ian wheeler man I wish it wouldn't have ended like that but I mean that's football there's there's going to be some injuries there um ve Jones Jor he had a really really good game against Kansas City and it showed him showing off some of the moves he uh learned as a running back he cut to his right and was able to to get into the end zone for I forgot how long that touchdown was it was probably like a 40 or 50 yard touchdown but uh yeah I remember seeing that during the game and getting all hyped showed that during the episode also showed Austin Reed uh and Austin Reed looked really good out there he I don't he's probably not making the roster uh uh yeah uh Austin Reed was another highlight in this episode he had his touchdown pass at Tommy Sweeney that was really cool to see he uh was chasing veis Jones Jr during his touchdown run and it's it's a shame that um yeah he's probably not making the roster I I already know uh I kind of already know like who makes the roster or not but I I I don't want to get into that right now but yeah Austin Reed he even thanked Shane Waldren for investing in him and giving him a chance so um I I really like Austin Reed I wish him the best of luck uh Adrien Colbert uh he had a moment during the game as well where he was able to break up a pass and if he didn't break that up uh it would have been a touchdown for Kansas City right there so it showed that and that was a pretty impressive play and uh that was very much needed for Adrien Colberg too because uh he had a Miss tackle earlier in the game which um get [ __ ] better at that [ __ ] but uh Tyson bent as well uh showed him in his opening drive where he had his running touchdown his dad got all hyped up in the stands of course and he even said on the sidelines that he had a dream about that moment so uh pretty pretty cool uh getting some insight from Tyson bent on that uh running touchdown and I would probably say uh the best part about this episode was seeing Ryan poles um we're going to see a lot of him in the next episode um with the roster cuts it showed him in this episode talking with Team Executives about like what to do with the roster and stuff like that like how many like DBS or offensive lineman or talking about Caleb a little bit as well and Tyson bent and it showed Ryan PS at the end of the episode unfortunately he was putting Ian wheeler on ir and pretty much telling him that um after he's off IR he's probably not going to make the Rost through but to take advantage of this opportunity of being on ir and just like trying to get better as a player and trying to use team resources and like Ryan P even said if uh there's anything that Ian wheeler needs he could call him so uh Ryan P um I know we haven't been winning with him under GM but uh he's made some pretty good moves and I think uh he's a really good
