rest of the forecast here in Florida in a few minutes. Noah, thanks so much and take a look at this. You can see dozens of cruise ships in the Caribbean right now. This is from cruise mapper.com. The tracking website. Each ship needs to get the okay to go off course. Hannah Mackenzie is live in Brevard County tonight. And Hannah, you actually spoke with the cruise guy. So what did he have to say? Well, Melissa, he told me this is pretty typical for hurricane season and cruise lines are used to this. Maybe not this early in the season, but they are ready to change itineraries at the drop of a hat. And it seems that that is what some of the major cruise lines are doing right now. So we counted five major cruise lines, all making changes to their sailing plans because of barrel. We've got Royal Caribbean Carnival, Norwegian Disney and Celebrity Cruises. They've all had to alter their plans. Nothing too drastic though, that we've seen so far. Just shifting port dates really. Or skipping ports altogether. And substituting other spots so they're not really canceling things as of yet. Now there are two cruise lines, Princess and MSC, that do have ships in the direct area right now, but the way Hurricane Beryl is moving, they will not be impacted. Now, this won't just impact folks though. This week, no Stewart Sheeran, known as the Cruise Guy, says this major hurricane could have lasting effects on cruise lines and their itineraries, depending on how much damage Beryl does. Some of these destinations on the Eastern Caribbean may have, or southern Caribbean they may be, you know, recovering from Hurricane Beryl and not in any position to accept passengers. So a lot of this stuff is still very much in flux. So, Hannah, obviously this is all done out of safety, but I'm sure some cruisers are still on board. So what can they do? Well, cruise contracts or bookings are pretty tight, and as the cruise guy told me today, the ports aren't actually guaranteed. Really, it's the cruise ship that's the destination itself. But if folks are concerned, it's best they reach out to the cruise lines directly. But here is some good news. I spoke with someone that's with Port Canaveral tonight, and he told me that they have had no impact so far with Beryl whatsoever. In fact, four cruise ships exited the port today on time as planned. Marlisa. All right, good information to know. Hannah. Thanks so much. You can track the tropics with us in. Stay one step ahead of any storm by downloading our free Fox
