Camille Lopez Intro

hi everyone my name is Camille Lopez and to talk a little bit about myself um I'm a professional land surveyor I'm licensed in North Carolina and in Florida I've been in the laner industry since 2016 when I graduated college um I have a four-year degree in land surveying and uh topography I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico my West Campus um I've been working with the same company since 2016 and I've been able to work on different roles in that company and I've been for the past 5 to six years in I've been under the project management role um now as a professional L surer I still continue working as a project manager with additional UH responsibilities as a professional land surveyor um having the a master's degree was one of my goals uh after I pursued my lure and the reason of that is because my Lancer license um would take me uh to the next step in the industry so I was lucky enough to be able to purs uh pursue that and achieve it last year and now um it was the next my next goal to have the the Master's Degree um this is one of the the two classes that um that are my first classes on the on my MBA and um I'm focusing on project management so um what I'm hoping to learn um in this master degree and in this class is to uh gain knowledge uh learn as much as I can and try to understand a little bit more and have uh some new tools that I can uh apply on my daytoday um on my day-to-day responsibilities and um especially since as a project manager in the land survey industry and the construction industry you're dealing with um employees you're dealing with clients you're dealing with co-workers and is a lot of uh there's a lot of management involved with a different type of people different type of skill sets and I believe having this uh background this knowledge uh will help me uh understand a little bit better and how to manage these type of situations and where does the project management role stops and where needs to go onto other uhto other people's responsibilities and also there's with the company that I'm currently working with there's this great opportunity which was given to me to open an office here in Florida so I'll be basically managing and running that office so I think this having this master deg degree will be crucial to the uh to the success of of this of this office this branch office in Florida so I'm really looking forward to uh learning a lot from this class and uh this from this master's degree and just want to learn and and give my all
