[Applause] hello everyone my name is y Yin I'm a mother of two boys I'm a Tesla Mom I'm not driving one I worked there before now you may think you know me for a little bit but you actually don't let me tell you my story January 2015 the night before my boy was born five weeks earlier than his due date you have to deliver him today I otherwise he'll be dead any seconds you b as the doctor told me I check in the tree Edge nurse asked me to get some rest 5 minutes after all the bright lights were on 10 people rushed to my room no time to explain time to deliver that's not told me also okay 15 minutes after my son he was 3 pound and 8 o on my chest when I look down him the Tini thing in my arms when I look my puffy face in the mirror without a job my life was over that's what I thought at that moment but here I am on this stage sharing my story with you how I came from there to hear today and not not a side story I'll come back to my boys later we all have our goals and desires we're all longing for certain things or certain people what should we do how we handle it should we just work harder what does that even mean or should we just set a clear path to reach our goals or we're just chasing more aggressively have you ever tried to hold scent on your hand on the beach the harder you squeeze more scand will flow out of your fingers but when you open your hand and look around you will see miles miles and mil Sun surrounding you if it's yours it will come to you if it's not just let it go people often say if you find the right balance you got everything I disagree it's not about the balance it's about sacrifice you have to make choice either sacrifice this or sacrifice that that's how you internally and eventually over a long period of time to have everything that's how I stopped denying myself and fighting with myself internally during those early days I knew my family needed me my baby needed me so I chose to sacrifice my career it's okay I let my career go is but also I kept my goal somewhere deeply inside my heart so now let's talk about success what does that mean what is success your own AI startup IPO next week or you finish your first marathon or we never see blue that screens on any computer it's all different ways of define success but let me share my own successful branding story with you my underr college has a tradition testing students in long distance running 3,000 meters for male students 1500 meters for female students I think they believe that's a secret and the key leading into working healthily for 50 years for the country that's why I always been asked run fast makes sense that is timate goal but until one day I asked one amazing Maron rner woman from my work I asked her how should I train to be like you someday and she asked me how do you run I explained to her my knees were hurting when was running immediately she said you run too fast no way that was my first impression I was slow I was miserable well how can I be running too fast no she said you are running too fast compared with yourself I am running too fast compared with myself ah that was the eye openening moment to me since then I never compare with myself compare myself with anyone I run at my own pace and I enjoy running so when my my kids back get older I went back to work I know I did not become someone 30 under 30 only because of my kids we all know that but that's okay for me I have my own pace I work hard I start building my credibilities I kept chasing New Opportunities and I never give up because I always know life is not a Sprint life is a marathon now let's talk about effortless when I say effortless I didn't mean doing nothing it's not like you sit on your lazy boy get everything you want without doing anything we call that they dreaming you still have to put effort into it but there's a differences between persistent dedicated determinated versus is obstinate willful and inflexible I think you start getting where I'm going here let me give you another story Town plat the legendary bodybuilder in the history during his early days he was training he moved to California he was training together with Anor schneer his role model six days a week twice per day but after a period of time Tom realized he became smaller weaker and fatter he was so depressed so he quit for three weeks but amazingly after three weeks he came back to gym he became stronger and bigger he can hold 180 PB down Bell then he realized the way Anor training wasn't working for him he only can train three times or four times a lake that was his secret that's how he became a legendary bodybuilder he found his own pace his own way to make things happen that's how I find my own way leading from there to here not as what I have pictured from point A to be a straight line it's more like this and sometimes even going backwards but that is okay as soon as you know where you go is you will map out your own path to your own success so now as I promise you I'll come to my boys it's a true Miracle you see it's 3 pound and 8 oz tiny thing grown into a 80 pound happy active boy that is my blessing my life of course there were many many tough moments along the way but there's something never changed I always know what is the most important thing to me and I never compare myself with others and I know I should be persistent ter determinated dedicated but not obstinate inflexible and willful I think every of us will have fun our own way our own path I wish everyone here achieves your effortless success thank you
