the Green Bay Packers but before we start breaking that down how about a word from our sponsor yeah it's been eventful to say the least and if you want to get in on the events uh few words about our whether it's in your car or whether it's in front of your computer or on your phone we're here with you and we're ready to talk to Packer football and Gil we're we're less than 10 days away from from the real deal but man what a what a busy couple days it's been at 1265 Lombardi yeah very eventful couple of moves that were in some ways expected and in some ways not and then as as uh we discussed there are some surprises on Cut Down Day some of them I understand and some of them not so much yeah and I'm GNA just go right ahead and jump into it Gil where I think one of the biggest surprises to me was safety Anthony Johnson Jr the second year safety out of Iowa State who seem to be putting together a really good training camp and seemed to really improve from a season too obviously the Packers loaded up at that position group in the draft drafting Javon Boward in the second round Evan Williams in the fourth round and Katan oladapo in round five but I thought Anthony Johnson Jr would still have a spot on this roster he played pretty well in the preseason he showed some flashes some good things a year ago and obviously the NFL teams some teams around the league think highly of Anthony Johnson Jr's Talent as well because he got claimed by the New York Giants right away and uh it's a bummer to see him walk that was kind of the biggest surprise especially getting the edge over Zayn Anderson who's going to be entering his second year with the Green Bay Packers and he's a guy that he could walk right by me on the street I don't think I know who he is at all because he he's he's a special teams guy but sure I'll take that that's what I heard from someone I'll take someone's word for it but kind of a surprise there that they let Anthony Johnson Jr walk yeah I mean I understand the logic behind it I just don't agree with the logic behind it uh to me you know the logic is this Zayn Anderson special Team stand out he's goingon to contribute more you get the feeling that rich bace is fingerprints are all over this decision um but if you look at zaye Anderson's NFL career this is going to be his fourth NFL season he has played in 17 games including 10 with the Packers MH he has been on the field during his NFL career for 237 snaps all of them on special teams not one of those snaps came on defense so here is a guy who is limited as to what he can contribute and in a year or two years down the road Zayn Anderson will either be doing the same thing he's doing now or be out of football or or not be a Green Bay Packer at the very least whereas in a year two years three years I think there's a much higher ceiling for Anthony Johnson Jr especially on defense where you know he clearly already showed he could contribute I was disappointed in this move I I I I get it you want to have good special teams you don't want to risk having near the worst special teams in the league again and we've been in that bottom third for way too long but I I I just think shortterm and long term you're better off with Anthony Johnson Junior you must you got to think you got to look on if you're looking more half glass half full the Packers must feel pretty good about the rookies that they drafted and I talked about the possibility last week where katano ladapo could have been a sneaky IR candidate where he he he was a medical red flag coming out of Oregon State that's why he dropped round five but the guy has the guy had second third round talent coming out of Oregon State he's a good football player it was just a matter of hey if he's not healthy I could see I could have seen him be on the IR have a season and Anthony Johnson Jr getting that spot so the numbers game it kind of fell out of favor for Anthony Johnson Jr obviously you brought in Xavier McKenna but it's kind of crazy Gil that that entire safety room from last year has completely turned over except for Zayn Anderson he's the one Survivor from that safety room from a year ago where yeah if I would have put my money on that in Vegas Vegas would have been like hey no you can't make that bet like we don't even we don't even know who Zayn Anderson is so that's just that's just where I feel about that some other surprises though too uh the wide receiver debate was huge where are they gonna keep six guys are they gonna keep seven guys Samari turay him getting cut he's not with the Bears practice squad unfortunately uh that wasn't a surprise he had a good preseason he had a good training camp but it was just a numbers game for him Grant Duos not making the team we talked Gil where I I felt like if he didn't make the initial 53 man roster in Green Bay that he was going to sign out to a 53 man roster elsewhere deos lands in Miami where he's going to be the fourth wide receiver there where that's a good landing spot for him with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Wadd and a good offensive play caller and Mike McDaniel uh Christian Welch also standout uh in the preseason it was a really good special teams player last year Iola Wisconsin native he's from the home state and the Packers just didn't have room for him and again he was the victim of a numbers game I believe last week you predicted that he was going to make the initial 53 I said he wasn't mainly because of the numbers it's not anything he did wrong uh but Christian Welch is no longer with the Packers either he signed with Denver's 53 man roster today obviously the Broncos got a good look at him at joint practice a couple weeks ago and liked what they saw so that those were kind of the biggest the biggest surprises overall Anthony Johnson Jr and christien Welch uh getting the boots from the the Packers roster yeah and and Grant do Bose and and I think when it comes to Welch here's a guy who did absolutely everything he could to make the roster I don't know if he could have played much better in the preseason games and and in Camp but you know when when you draft two players on day two of the draft at this position it it just makes it hard for him to find a job and yet you know he was also one of those guys who was mostly special teams only yes didn't play a lot I I would have preferred to have kept Welch over Anderson although they do play two different positions on the coverage teams and so you know I'll leave that decision up to Rich basaka who you know knows what he needs to fill out his roster but uh disappointed in wel du Bose I I didn't think they were gon to be able to stick him on the practice squad if they didn't keep him on the roster he just showed too much and you know too many articles written about the guy so you didn't have to search too hard to say who maybe we should check out this guy uh and it disappointing to see him go but as you mentioned this this receiving CT is so deep the fact that the seventh and eighth receiver on the Packers depth chart got claimed by other teams I think that speaks volumes and uh for those watching with us on YouTube Facebook if you feel like someone should have gotten cut or shouldn't have gotten cut that is on the roster or isn't on the roster feel free to chime in in the comments section we'd love to have your input as well and discuss it here on no huddle radio on Packers Talk network but this is a it's a it's a matter with Grant Duos where it's like you're not mad that they kept Malik Heath or Bo Melton over him you just it's just an embarrassment of rich is at that position uh but here's here's something that's really cool and a cool surprise Gil how about Aaron Mosby making the initial 53 man roster man that guy he balled out in that final preseason game he had the interception he had the strip sack uh he he earned that spot and the Packers kept six defens ends because I feel like Aaron Mosby kind of forced their hward it's like we gota we gotta keep this guy we we got to keep him put he could play some special teams too where he had such a he had such a strong preseason and such a strong camp that he definitely earned that spot and that's a really cool story for him it is and you know before the season or before training camp started if I would have given you odds on Mosby making the 53 right out of Camp uh I could have gotten some very good odds if I wanted to make that bet but uh he really earned that spot really had a great finale you know preseason finale and I think what you mentioned the key is he also can contribute on special teams that helps solidify his position on the roster is it secure I'm not ready to say that uh but you know I'm um please they also held on to Brenton Cox J J so they're both on on the roster and some other notes real quick the Packers did release Royce Newman obviously not a not a favorite of ours over the years Gil just it was time to move on from him along the offensive line he got claimed by the Tamp Bay Buccaneers uh the Packers we we have been talking all preseason and all offseason about how deep this roster is and obviously everyone loves everybody this time of year everyone's a fan of everyone but this Packer roster depth obviously was was very because they had three guys claimed right away within the first day of roster Cuts with Royce Newman going to Tampa and Anthony Johnson Jr going to the Giants dubos uh going to the Miami Dolphins Christian Welsh signed with the Denver Broncos 53 man roster on Thursday uh that's that's all you need to see where it's like that pack of roster was deep and you could tell other teams were keeping an eye on that roster to see if certain guys were to become available uh last time the Packers had a a player who was released from the team uh claimed right away within 24 hours it was 2017 when taes Hill got claimed by the New Orleans Saints so that that just goes to show it doesn't happen as often as you think and this Packers roster is is definitely different Guild it's definitely different yeah it's an encouraging sign and and it's also evidence that the salary cap and the roster limits are doing what they're supposed to do and that's keep the playing field as even as possible and it makes the fact that the Packers have been a competitive team now for the better part of three decades even that more much more impressive they have an ability to stack the cupboard full that's for sure but uh now looking at that initial 53 man roster there the initial 53 has even changed in the last couple days but uh Gil what is your biggest concern right now with the initial 53 man roster obviously some stuff happened that we didn't expect to happen and there there are some areas where it's like hey if one guy goes down we could be kind of screwed at certain positions what's your biggest concern right now with the initial 53 I I will start at running back because we now have we we entered training camp thinking it was a very deep position that that we had three spots on the roster and we went four deep well now we're down to two of those four one of well we're down to three but one of them is not ready to play as of right now one of them is now lost for the season here here's my concern I love the the potential on this running back room I I love it I I'm happy with Josh Jacobs I think he'll be a great starter I'm happy with the potential of Marshon Lloyd I'm happy with the potential of Emanuel Wilson but if anything happens to Jacobs you do not have a another proven running back who can run the ball in the NFL during the regular season and B more importantly perhaps to the Packers a guy who can pass protect catch balls out of the back field pick up blitzes keeping uh basically keeping Jordan love healthy is Paramount for this team's success AJ Dylan say what you want about the fact that he didn't have a great year last year didn't have the the best training camp before he got hurt he knew how to pick up blitzes he knew how to pick up stunts he knew how to catch the ball out of the back field he did those little things the coaches love that a lot of fans don't necessarily notice if anything happens to Josh Jacobs the the fall off between where they they are at running back and where they would be potentially is very big now you know Lloyd when he's healthy Emanuel Wilson when when he gets a chance they may prove me wrong they may show that they're ready to pass protect and catch balls out of the back field but we don't know it yet and it's a big concern to me because we all know running backs tend to get injured oh for sure and that's why they have such a short shelf life in the NFL and they just those guys don't get paid like other guys do because once you get past that magic age of 30 they're really not the same and uh the running back depth obviously is a problem uh AJ Dylan we'll get to him in just a bit it's it's just a bummer of a situation for him obviously but we'll talk about him a little later in this episode uh Josh Jacobs now he's he's a guy who's gonna he's not going to leave the field he is a true three down back and that's I I think what made him so enticing probably to Matt laflor and Brian Gins when they were looking uh for an upgrade at the position at running back where Aaron Jones loved the guy but he couldn't stand on the field all the time he he had to rotate in and out and you know if he got 15-20 carries that was a that was a heavy workload for Aaron Jones Josh Jacobs 15-20 carries is kind of the minimum that he can do and and he's a guy who's he's not going to leave the field but obviously something happens with them you know knock on wood that nothing does happen with him then yeah the Packers are kind of uh kind of screwed you know uh em Manel Wilson's a guy I really really like I think he's a really good runner and he just has a natural feel for the scheme that's what I I mean I remember saying this last year with uill too where when he made the team as an undrafted rookie free agent it just felt like a guy who just understood where the holes were where to Zig where to zag he just seems to have a natural feel for the scheme that lefl has on that offense for the Green Bay Packers marshan lyd we don't we don't know yet and he's a rookie and you can't really count on a third round rookie like him this isn't Barry Sanders that's walking who knows I mean he could be Barry Sanders but not nobody actually never mind nobody is Barry Sanders I I'll say that in general I'll give you that yeah yeah nobody nobody is Barry Sanders that guy was just special but anyways uh he's a guy though where we don't know what to expect with him and typically rookie running backs struggle in pass protection you can't count on him on third down Mandel Wilson has actually least shown some ability in the past to be able to pass protect if need be if called upon uh but yeah running back depth is a problem uh tight end depth is also that's a potential issue too where you have Luke musra and Tucker crap two solid tight ends Ben Sims I like him as a third tight end but they don't have a fourth tight end right now and and they didn't keep Joel Wilson Tyler Davis lands on IR again uh a guy who we talked about last week where I could see with that shoulder injury maybe he's not right and he lands back on the injured reserve list and he's not designated to return either so tight end depth could be a problem but the way they could supplement that too let's say if they with the running game Jane Reed is good in the jet sweeps they can they could run Christian Watson on the jet suep there's so much Motion in that Packers offense that they could get so creative with the assets that they have the weapon the the whole Weaponry in General on offense is not a problem there is so much depth across the board on that offense it's just a matter having that that bcal back in Josh Jacobs you just hope that he stays on the field uh you hope he stays on the field and nothing happens to him uh coming up soon yeah it's going to be important and I think it's more important early in the season when when you get more practice Reps for Wilson you get more practice Reps for Lloyd then I think you know maybe midseason late season they they will have proven that they can pass protect and pass block and you know you mentioned Wilson having a little bit of a track record yeah but it's in preseason against you know second third fourth string kind of a guy players it's different in the regular season not to say he can't do it but he has to prove it still in my mind yeah and Gil we actually haven't talked about the giant elephant in the room which probably is the biggest concern for Packer fans in general clearly yeah yeah you're looking around for that big elephant yeah I'm and I see it it's right next to me it's it's actually taking a dump right in the corner of my room but anyways uh I'm sorry I'm sorry about that but it's the kicking situation the Andre Carlson he's gone Greg Joseph he's gone the Packers signed undrafted rookie free agent kicker Braden narvis uh Carlson was let go obviously on cutdown day he had that uh 54 yard field goal uh in the final preseason game and then booted a 32 yard field goal wide right which you felt like kind of was the it was the straw that broke the camels back Greg Joseph the veteran made the initial 53 but was let go one day later after the Packers were able to get Brad narison from the Tennessee Titans who they let go of uh narson went six of seven on field goals with the Titans in the preseason his one miss was from 58 yards out also made a 59 yard in the preseason and he was perfect on extra points and looking at his kicking tape from those preseason games I know it's a it's a small sample size those kicks look pretty clean Gil and obviously Brian gkin he talked to the media on Wednesday too he said frankly I don't have much patience for Specialists and he knows I I think he knows deep down this Talent this team is talented and a bad kicker isn't going to ruin what could be a really really good season in Green Bay can't afford to let that happen and I mean we've been hearing the wh ifs since that loss to San Francisco one of them what if Anders Carlson hit that field goal that he missed in the fourth quarter the Packers go up by seven it changes the whole equation of the game that the 49ers would have needed a touchdown and it it it just absolutely you know changed the the Outlook of that game and it's not fair to blame Anders Carlson alone for that loss but the inconsistency you know Matt laflor jokingly said oh yeah I pray every time he lines up to kick a a field goal an extra point I I think it was part jokingly and unfortunately the lack of consistency the lack of confidence that the team had in him was definitely an issue and uh they couldn't stay with him they didn't have a lot of confidence in Greg Joseph we have to see what Braden Arvis does and you know again Green Bay it's always easier to kick in Green Bay in September and October but you get to November you get to December hopefully you get to January it's cold it's windy it's the winds are unpredictable if you're not familiar with kicking in that building y then we're GNA see what Braden Arbon can do and those are also the games that tend to matter more in the standings and some background on Brad nerson from college he played one his final year of college ball at NC State with 78% on field goals made all of his extra points uh was at Western Kentucky for the three Seasons before that he was uh 71% in 2022 79% in 21 93% in the short in 2020 season uh a pretty consistent kicker overall in college College college kickers you never know what you're G to get but narvon he held his own in college and you never know how those guys are going to transition to the NFL I mean I remember Roberto aguo the the the Rockstar kicker at Florida State he was drafted in round two by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the guy was out of the league within three years and you just you you never know how it's gonna be and it's kind of and Andre Carlson him with his struggles where I felt like every time he was lining up the kick I was holding my breath and even when he made it he just he would barely sneak it between the pipes and it was just it was just it was too nerve-wracking and I I gotta imagine when you were the coaches in the front office where it's just like man this guy just we can't trust him we we can't we can't trust him with the game on the line and even in the preseason you felt like you you your your stomach was kind of turning upside down in a way where it just you just didn't feel comfortable with Anders Carlson it's a move that had to be done and maybe hindsight's 2020 maybe we look in the future and he ends up turning around his career like his older brother Daniel Carlson has with the Vegas Raiders after he got cut by the Minnesota Vikings but uh it's a move that had to be made and you just hope for the best of BR naron the cold weather factors could be interesting but obviously time will tell if it's if it's a problem or not well well if he's still here yeah time will tell and and you know addressing Matthew Tan's uh comment in the chat room the Packers do have a backup kicker Alex hail on the practice squad as part of the international player program so there is another kicker in the organization who they could Elevate for up to three games at any time without having to put them on the permanent 53 man roster and pretty cool hey hi Ali from Coachella Valley pretty cool that we're getting uh getting people viewing in from Coachella Valley tune in to YouTube and uh yeah keep watching keep listening we appreciate the support and love and everything and someone who could use some support and love right now from the Packer fans it's the mayor of Dork County it's AJ Dylan uh his season possibly his Packer career Gill is over was placed on the season ending IR with a stinger with a neck issue it's the second Stinger he's had nine months remember he missed the playoffs last year because of a stinger and it's a situ situation where he's not designated to return so his Packer season his season for the Packers is over if he does get healthy he wants to return to action uh the Packers could work on an injury settlement then he could go play for another team but he's not eligible to return to the Packers this year it's a it's a really really sad situation you you just Brian goodkin he talked in the media on Wednesday he said when it comes to the Head the neck and the heart we we don't mess with that uh and this is something where it's just it's a real bummer because it sound like the Packers had a lot of plans for AJ Dylan this year and it's a it's a real bummer for a fan favorite in Green Bay yeah Class Act on and off the field yeah he didn't have the greatest year last year struggled at times part of it was on the offensive line part of it was you know some of the things he was or was not doing but classy guy great on the field great off the field in the community and a very popular teammate he will be missed could the Packers sign him to another you know Team friendly one-year deal maybe uh in the off season it may depend a lot on you know how amanuel Wilson and Marshon lyd do this year but uh you know to me uh it's just sort of a sad way to end uh this season for at least for AJ Dylan before it even starts yeah and it's it's a guy who you had some security there at running back too where if if Josh Jacobs were to go down you have a guy who knows the offense who's been there kind of done that with the Packers and a guy who you could count on in pass protection but you hope that it's it's just a it's a you never know what the Stinger it could vary it could be very minor to a very major nerve issue and you just don't know what the extent of it is you just you hope for the best you hope that he gets some clarity and some answers sooner rather than later uh best wishes for sure for AJ Dylan uh real bummer real bummer for a real fan favorite Quadzilla the mayor dor County whatever you want to call them uh he he'll be a Packer fan favor for a long time but uh some other moves too some other transactions the Packers obviously Sean Clifford Mike and rookie Michael Pratt they were both competing for the back of quarterback job behind Jordan love and neither got it the Packers end up trading uh for Malik Willis a seventh rounder to the Tennessee Titans for Malik Willis they traded uh for the former third rounder out of Liberty University uh Willis he's only played a few games for the Titans in his two-year career 11 games total only 53% completion percentage a a guy who has show who showed some flashes in his short time with the Tennessee Titans it sound like Tennessee was going to move on regardless from him and for the Packers it's it's in my opinion it's kind of a wise move because Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt didn't really wow you and didn't really get you jazzed up for the backup quarterback situation yeah no you you just didn't have confidence in either of those guys to look it here here's the bottom line regardless of whether it's Malik Willis if it would have been sea Clifford if it would have been Michael Pratt if Jordan love goes down for an extended period of time the the outlook for the season is over the the the Packers are considered Super Bowl contenders right now if Jordan Love Is Lost heaven forbid that they're no longer looked at as Super Bowl contenders but if Jordan love were to go down for two games three games do you have a backup quarterback who you're confident could keep you in those three games and maybe steal one or two of them I couldn't say yes at this stage in their career to either Clifford or Pratt now Willis well you know he looks like he's also still in the developmental stage of his career although Scouts and and and a lot of observers said he definitely looked like he took a step forward in training camp this year that's important because based on his performance in the first two years and the scouting reports that I've read you know maybe he's a step ahead of Clifford and and and Pratt but I I don't know if he's the guy who could get you a win or two if it's three or four games without Jordan love yet you just hope it doesn't get to that situation I will say and I will say we're going to knock on wood again Gil but ever since Matt laflor has taken over over the quarterbacks don't get hit as often as they used to when McCarthy was running the show it a lot it seemed like the McCarthy offense there was a lot of receivers running longer routes longer longer developing plays which led to bigger plays Matt laflor is very much hey we're gonna snap the ball we're gonna get it out quickly and and guys have been able to stay upright in his system pretty much and that's a that's a very very good thing but I will say this though where Malik Wills getting traded by the Titans he was 2022 third round pick that draft also had jond Ritter who's no longer with the team who drafted him that team that draft had Kenny picket was the Lone first round quarterback he's no longer with the Pittsburgh Steelers uh they had Sam Howell who got traded by the Washington football team the Washington commanders Matt carral who who was bounced around the league quite a bit and 2021 Trevor Lawrence is was obviously the number one pick in that draft too where he's a he's a good player he hasn't reached the potential I think that people expect but Justin Fields he got shipped off Zack Wilson he got let go if the Packers didn't draft Jordan love in 2020 Brian gakin had slim pickings in 21 and 22 so I'll say this where again and I mentioned it earlier hindsight is 2020 but kudos to Brian gakin for getting a quarterback when he did because the Packers right now we wouldn't be talking Super Bowl or bus right now Gil we'd be talking like oh we got a tank for the number one pick and hopefully uh or get Quinn eers from Texas next year or uh or the quarterback who's at Carson Beck who's at Georgia or get Arch Manning in a couple years because they'd be in a lot worse situation now you got Jordan love the highest paid quarterback in NFL highest paid football player in NFL history so kudos to Brian goodin there because it's a it's amazing how much the quarterback class has dropped off after 2020 yeah no no doubt about that and look with Malik Willis he's got a lot of athletic ability strong arm very mobile quarterback and probably you know create when plays break down he can improvise and get things done he needs to work on his accuracy a little needs to work on reading defenses a little bit hopefully with time that will come I like his potential I just don't know if he's ready to step in right now and that was the key thing you were looking for if you weren't going to stick with either Clifford or Pratt and it's interesting the Titans there was some carryover from their offense into the Packers offense Willis is expected to be the number two quarterback opening up in Brazil next next Friday and it's crazy he's going to be suiting up and he's he's going to be next in line if anything were to happen to Jordan love uh the Packers also they starting to fill out their practice squad now Michael Pratt he's gone he's with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but Sean Clifford is back on the practice squad uh some other practice squad names we're just going to Rattle them off real quick Gil running backs Ellis Merryweather and Nate MCC wide receivers Jaylen Wayne and Julian Hicks offensive lineman L Smith and Donovan Jennings tight end mesiah Swinson defensive lineman Deslin Alexandre and James Esther Corners Robert Melle and K kin King kin King that was kind of surprising he didn't make the additional 53 good for the Packers that he's back with the practice squad of course kicker Alex hail he's part of the international player pathway program then the Packers signed a pair of undrafted rookies safety Omar Brown and linebacker Chris Russell uh Brown spent training camp with the Broncos Russell was at Packers rookie mini camp earlier this spring he was with the Packers for part of this training camp he was also teammates with Edan Cooper at Texas A&M so some uh some familiarity there with the Packers obviously we talked about Christian Welch leaving the Packers going to the Denver Broncos and the Packers obviously saw Omar Brown in that joint practice and probably wanted him in under under their roof on their Turf and uh so the Packers filling up that practice squad a little more yeah and and just FYI just to to note as of right now unless something changes between now and next Friday no undrafted free agent on the opening day roster so for the first time since 200 four it looks like the Packers will not have an undrafted free agent make this team now Braden Aron is an undrafted rookie free agent does that count yeah guess because it's interesting because they didn't sign they signed him later but they didn't he wasn't with them during Camp so does that does that keep the streak alive because that's a little bit of a gray area guil yeah that is a little bit of a gray area we'll have to look into that yeah that's uh yeah it's uh so that's a that's an interesting it's an interesting situation there so I I think the street continues but who am I to judge uh we we'll say the street continues just for the good publicity right well Gil before we wrap up uh obviously this has been a tremendously busy week for the Packers obviously yourself we're gearing up for the regular season hopefully a Super Bowl season in title town at 1265 Lombardi what articles do you have coming up on chees head TV the Packers post what what can fans viewers everybody uh read about going into the 2024 season well on cheese head TV I did take a look at AJ Dylan a little bit of his uh situation is Legacy in Green Bay and just sort of the disappointing fact that his season kind of ended before it really started for the Packers post I looked at the running back situation now with the lack of depth there and uh coming up on Saturday I will also have a look at uh the last NFL game of Sterling Sharp's career uh we a little history piece on most Saturdays so going to look back he he went out with a bang let's put it that way Shannon sharp is the only member of his own family that was the second best player of his own family to make the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame Shannon Sharp's words not myself I'm just saying that's right put put Sterling in the hall for God's sakes already but uh Gil you ready for Su trivia before we really wrap up this episode yeah let's do it all right sounds good well as we touched on just moments ago the Packers have a new backup quarterback former Tennessee Titans third round pick Malik Willis he'll be backing up Jordan love for the foreseeable future Willis played football at two high schools in Georgia Westlake and Roswell both schools have produced a few future NFL players and current NFL players as well Gil which current Packer played with Malik Willis in high school uh you said he was from Georgia from Georgia correct okay he played high school ball in Georgia high school ball that's what I'm that that is what I'm asking uh Georgia I'm guessing but I'm going to say the X-Men Xavier McKinna you nailed it Packers safer Xavier McKenna I thought you would guess one of the Georgia Bulldogs like Stokes or or Bard or some like that but no mckenny was a Bama an Alabama guy and he played high school ball in Georgia he also played at Roswell High School in Georgia before he played his college ball for the Crimson Tide before he was drafted by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft now Gil Willis started his collegiate career at Auburn before finishing up at Liberty University a former Packers Fan Favorite also played college ball at Liberty earlier this Millennium bonus question Gil which former Packer played football at Liberty University as well earlier this Millennium so it's not Mark Murphy the center of the safety rather
