what's going on Giants fans I'm sure you've already seen the video by now that's circulating through Twitter as you know the Bears are one of the teams in the NFC North that are featured on this year's hard KN training camp version the Giants concluded their offseason Hard Knock now the Bears obviously with first overall pick Caleb Williams now a Chicago Bear it was a clip that Twitter has been showing all day that has the media AB Buzz especially New York Giants content creators U most of them who I disagree with on a day day-to-day basis um but the clip shows Ryan poles the Bears GM having a discussion on the sidelines with giants general manager Joe Shane and Joe Shane goes up to Ryan poles and says he these you don't have to worry about you know looking at quarterbacks this year and Ryan Paul says hopefully I don't have to do this for the next 10 years that's not word for word verbatim but it's pretty much how the conversation went and of course the New York media and the Sports World went on with it pretty much damning Joe Shane for how dare you say that about you know what about Daniel Jones get I'm a Daniel Jones guy but the writing is on the wall if he does not have a great successful year this year if he has a repeat of last year getting her and having poor quarterback play obviously he is probably not going to come back and return as a giant starting quarterback I don't know why everyone is up in arms about this comment Joe Shane made it is clear as day it is common sense even d Daniel Jones knows this he doesn't like it but he knows this is the reality of the business of the NFL this is very common to see and here so why everyone is complaining oh Joe Shane's an idiot GM what did he say that was not true one the Bears no they have Caleb Williams so probably for the next five or so years they don't have to worry about drafting or scouting a quarterback the Giants do because Daniel Jones is under really only under a contract for one more year depending on how he's his performance goes this season if he has a good year the Giants will then you know give him another year a third year to say hey go out there and prove it again if he has a bad year he's not going to return as the quarterback so I have no problem with Joe Shane's remarks he he told the truth everyone needs to chill the out shut the up and just let's just focus on week one and we'll go from there I have no problem with the comments it is a general manager speaking shooting straight from the hip to another general manager and giving his honest opinion and it's true the Bears really don't have to worry about a quarterback scouting for a quarterback at anytime soon and the Giants are technically in quarterback hell uh so yeah Joe Shan's pretty much making light of it that this sucks scouting quarterbacks ain't easy it's the hardest position to find a good one a franchise quarterback so everyone that's up in arms saying the Joe Shane he's an 88 GM he doesn't have his quarterback's back that is far from the truth he is the guy that gave Daniel Jones his big contract he just knows realistically that Daniel Jones is coming from a torn ACL and he might not be the guy going forward everyone needs to relax everyone needs to shut the up and let's go Gman let me know your thoughts in the comments
