Tim Burton defends Beetle Juice sequel costing some of the original beju cost members were absent from the sequel however a director Tim Burton explains why he didn't include the whole ensemble of the previous picture Alec Baldwin and Gina Davis who played Adam and Barbara the ghost couple in the 1988 block poster hit were absent the Dumbo star re explained his decision uh telling people I think the thing was uh for me I didn't want to just take any boxes so even though they were such an important element of the previous one I was thinking about something different he went on a sequel like this has a lot to do with time that was my Hook and the the three the three generations of mother daughter and a grandchild adding and uh and that would be the basis of it uh I couldn't have done this myself back in 1989 or whatever Gina uh who is not in the much anticipated sequel has previously chimed in with her own perspective no I not uh I'm I'm I'm not um in the remake um she said ET oh you expected that I would be yeah no you know what uh because my opinion is that goes never age no I have not
