welcome back to another Eagles film study we're going to look at some players today not one player specifically and now the eagles picked up a couple of guys man we could have a value Great Value set of pickups that we've made anyways let's get into it what's up it's your boy Centron coming back at you with another analysis video I kid you not that's real name Eagles film review Kenny picket Zack Bond and other new players so let's look at what potentially we saw in these guys when we picked them up because uh yeah they're better than the sum of uh their parts but uh we're not looking at these guys to you know individually hit it out of the park so Kenny picket we gave up a 2024 third rounder which is you know was price was think was the 98th overall pick and two 2025 sth round picks and received a fourth round pick back so he moved down kind of like 20 spots or so not as bad as you would think but still like for me just a third round pick it's just like ah you know I wanted a premium no a starter level pick with that player but we're getting the backup here instead um really interested in the acquisition of pick it because I liked him coming out of pit so a lot of guys were high on him and obviously that's why he went 22nd overall um with the Steelers so he could have been different you know he could have become a different player if he hadn't been drafted by the Steelers never looked comfortable in the pocket with the Steelers and didn't play well the player has to take advantage of you know opportunities that being said being drafted into a bad system with guys who aren't able to develop you and taking advantage of you your reent talent it's still a black mark on the organization for you know um SEL you as highly as they did and not putting him in a position to be successful it's also worth noting um that picket did receive um okay Rookie of the Year votes cool 27 uh 27 yards six touchdowns to four interceptions so it was never um super out of whack throwing four interceptions in 12 games is pretty good but it just six picks I mean sorry six touchdowns is pretty terrible so he's right smacked that there in the middle um he could have done a lot worse but it could have definitely done a lot better picket now has 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in two SE in two seasons this play sort of sums up the issues with picket in the NFL it's great that he can get off his primary read and get to the backside but it takes him too long which means he miss misses an easy throw needs to be coach just speed up his processing speed and hopefully kellmore can help him do that so uh look here Deontay Johnson excellent route I think he's here at the top okay he's here in in the middle so if he had gotten into him sooner he goes into motion you know to shake him free of that man coverage boom he's got to be hit there you know he just he told totally makes that read too little too late and you know that comes with the feel and um you know coaches got a harp on on that to make sure that you know he takes advantage of you know those kind of uh you know things that design he did De Johnson did exactly what the coverage um he he did exactly what you want against that coverage he got open and his quarterback didn't hit him right when he you know um when he when he did get uh get scheme free and you know that's that's on him yeah should have been a layup touchdown easy money and here you can see struggles with pocket awareness so let's see here yeah let's see um yeah he's got to stay in there hang in there a little bit longer take the hit and uh Step Up there Step Up into it and boom you know um he he he's able to hit the receiver in stride instead of him scrambling out and missing the timing of that route so that's again on uh Kenny picket these things finding details are they were they hitting on these um was he just tuning it out or were these places they were overlooking and just kind of just going for other things you know the F instead of the final details getting him to pay atten attention to those and uh potentially Aid his development in the small things it's never all the big things it's always I mean sometimes it's the small things that add up so look at this this play um favorite throw from Kenny pick it he shows the anticipation here boom right when he needed to hit that I think tight end there he was open he uh showed you know he show like you said the an anticipation but it was also the touch put the right amount of mustard on the football and hit him right over the middle so we're hoping that these plays can become more of a you know Common happen stance for him um common development he can see them them open up and uh he can he can see the progressions you know have that clock in his head just off the right timing bam make that throw so kellmore hopefully getting his head in a in a good way yeah I think he has upside as a good backup and uh yeah turn him back into the player that he was in college more of these plays and uh less of the other two examples we saw above yeah I think I think that's just coaching you know so um we'll see but we got it for the next two years on a low salary reasonable deal and uh he might be worth a you know a trade pick or two so um will rear interesting guy you know he just knows col more ass syst but that's more what's more so what I'm interested in and seeing like kind of how a low lower tier guy uh functions and being that bridge between the coach and the other guys kind of grasping the scheme all right Matt Hennessy oneye deal is a classic KY Roseman signing under the radar and guess who he was compared to um by Bach report pre-draft Jason Kelce so um I I didn't watch either so let's just read up the com on the comments here in is a remarkable um efficient mover who doesn't have a doesn't take a playoff and has a kind of tenacity teams want in the leader of the line he's a fairly thin overall frame yeah he's you know kind of like Fel he's not you know a stocky guy or um strength really probably isn't his you know strongest uh skill set or strongest uh skill and it's not his skill set um however henness is all effort and has managed to win thus far despite his limited frame if he's able to build functional strength throughout core there's no reason he can't develop into a high level starter he's a smooth pass protector and lives for lateral blocks in space so you know moving sideways moving guys out the way Kelsey was excellent at doing that he personified tough and was recognized for it in college which which suggests he has a work ethic to build a body his new team wants yeah that doesn't sound like eagles interior offensive lineman I don't know what does um Hennessy has played the majority of his career at Center but has also played left guard he should be vers back up at Center and either guard position so give us that interior flexibility he hasn't played much the past two years due to knee injuries but when he played in 2021 PFF ranked him as the third best running uh run blocking Center in the league however he struggled and pass protection and gave up a league High 28 pressure so you know here's a guy coming in that I think like I said gives us you know key depth there you don't ideally want him starting out but you know in a pinch I think he can hold on the fort you know here here there give us some you know Su Opa um potentially interiorly speaking because he did so in his first I think his second year Jack Driscoll uh level play and you know he's been going to be uh coaching I Almost Say by the great Howard mud but no um by Jeff Jeff Stalin you know so you got to believe Stout you know likes what this guy offers and it's going to coach him up see a few comments about him see potentially starting this year but I would be very surprised yeah despite liking the Scot reports of him coming out he has played much in the past two years and struggled in pass protection when he did uh play last year I see was a good versus stot backup rather than a starter exactly now like this is for me maybe the queen chess past because people forget we did seek out this guy on day one he was available um he wasn't a um even day two or week two uh got resigned no we sought him out you know made sure he was in the fold on day one so I think this is a Vic vanio guy guy we're GNA get huge value out of and it's funny that um compare him to guy like Andrew van GLE when he was his college teammate at Wisconsin so this is a fascinating signing Zack B was a pass rushian D in college and I remember like liking him coming out now he hasn't had a great career so far since being drafted by New Orleans but I'm sure that he um but I'm not sure he's had a fair chance this is Scott report coming out Bon is a project as an offall um NFL linebacker I think he's developed into a decent one but he's very ver St a prospect who will add value as a third down pass rusher in addition to his upside of the position he's an impressive athlete with a high football IQ great Boulder which typically adds up to an NFL starter yeah you know guys it's not all physical traits it's about here the key will be whether his defensive coordinator has a plan for using him and developing him and I don't think the Saints really had him in the plans um they wanted him to be a you know more so a role player but they couldn't find a overall a a decent consistent role for him oh and guess who was his Pro comparison Assan reic interesting guy who will be looked to replace and I think um a reason why how he felt so comfortable trading off Assan R because the presence of a guy like this who might get paid a little bit more next year due to his production that he's able to have um in a defined role here in Philly I didn't see um Bond as an off ball linebacker but the Saints obviously did he played the Saints base for3 packages uh and four down lineman and three linebackers and really play the edge this surprises me because it's a Zach Bon looked like a decent passer coming out of college and even had 12 and a half sacks in his final year at Wisconsin so people just gloss over that U Bon was an off ball linebacker until last year so that's what they tried to make him into kind of force him if you know square a whole round Peg type deal and when he finally got a chance to rush a quarterback his PFF pass rushing productivity ranked 71st so you definitely not great and he end up with two sacks two hits and 11 hurries on 137 pass rush opportuni so again not great but um this is the first the first cracker that Apple kind of really been given him and um you can see they 137 that's like you know a a role um playing I forget how made br I've got last year I think he got 400 so you know roughly quadruple the attempts but I think you know he's going to see an uptake definitely with Hanan re out of the way he can be that swing guy the third guy and I think for me he he probably beats out um noan Smith has him now because he's you know more well seasoned as a player not saying he has the higher ceiling when asked about playing offall linebacker for the start of his career B recently said this and you know let's pay attention it was very interesting you know what he did say at times I think I'd be lying if I said it wasn't frustrating waiting for my opportunity with the Saints Bon said but I just put my head down and kept working and if I didn't get opportunities on the edge which is you know where he wants to be I get them elsewhere on special teams or inside linebacker and work on my craft that way so he's you know equal opportunities opportuni opportunist he's going to make you know his bones wherever there to be had but he'd like to get some you know EXP where he feels comfortable on the edge it's pretty clear to me that Zach wants to rush quarterback yeah I think Bon should be able to use his experience as an off ball linebacker to provide the eagles with depth at Edge so he won't be a fish um out you know out of you know Fish Out of Water kind of like how Josh sweat L dropping in coverage and S reic did at times you know you were dropping him a little bit too much um and he fits as someone who can Rush the pass and drop coverage when needed so like I said he's not going to Mo he's not going to M main there but he can moon like I think he's a great scheme fit for Edge and Fano scheme um and he could end up being a meaningful rotation option next year just give this man a chance to do this so he's beating guy P Su here a um he might been an all pro last year um but definitely a pro bowler one of the right stars at right tackle in the league look at this dip under he made just gets around him and smacks the hell out of uh almost said uh Matt stord no Jared gof there so I think he can do a lot of that if we put him in a position especially he's going to have better um Supporting Cast at linebacker um well okay not in dear Davis but um and front line and most likely behind him um or I say decent ly so good corner but safety definitely um in in our offense here sorry defense here all right linebacker ear or and Burks when your deal Burks is an interesting sign of because we know how lightly Eagles are linebacker so he's he's a depth guy but he's got you know a good rise score so um good size Elite Speed elite explosiveness elite uh sorry agility at the linebacker position so 9.73 I think that's out of 10 so very high score so Eagles Eagles the 49 is like Fast off ball linebackers you can look at um Dre Greenlaw Fred Warner those guys are fast flowing and Eagles seem to uh like signing athletes at off ball linebacker yeah you know Nolan Smith um even though he he you know Edge focused but you know really off ball linebacker could he could play there as well so um you know he's an athletic guy U doesn't have great instincts back up at this stage age um but I I still like the signing and he adds depth there you know and I think he is slotted where he needs to be instead of the Eagles slotting guys that should have been in his position as backups as starters so here he picks off that that Prescott you know excellent um Zone coverage you know just um him dropping to a spot there and then getting up and you know doing what he does he has some Wheels guy is like they said athletic he can uh you can play off off um off the ball you know so I mean was what he is ready for he's not an a rusher um but it was a third round pick back in 2018 by Green Bay but again a guy rely played but you know he's providing depth here but um that's it for the video just some intriguing guys like I said they're not you know um fast balls like um Bryce Huff is but these are more you know your your cork SCS you know your pictures that are going to drop um your pictures that are going to you know float from the middle to you know outside and you know be in that zone where like uh strike get called um or it could be a ball but it's going to give you a pretty good look anyways enough of those analogies but we're going to deces but I love talk about the Eagles and I love making these videos but you're not even watching though but it's all good so like I said I love doing this but anyways as always it's Fly Eagles Fly and let's go like comment thanks for watching check me out at Centron
