2024 US Open Men’s Singles PREDICTIONS | Full Bracket Rundown

okay so the US Open is starting soon starting on Monday um and the US opens typically the tournament with the most variety at least of the grand slams in winners um especially in the men's side right there hasn't been a a new winner in what 15 years now back when Roger feder defended his title um in what 2008 2009 something like that and and you know I'm going to try to do my best to predict the the US Open and its bracket starting off on the men side of course um all right so the first match is yanic Center versus McKenzie McDonald I don't see Center really having a problem with McDonald um it could be an interesting match especially with the recent news with of of doping but again I don't really see Center have a a problem with that um speri versus Mickelson next um speri I think he's the number one college player right at least for the last two years something something along those lines if not he's been an incredible college tennis player um I'm not sure 2024 US Open is his time but maybe sometime in the future he'll have more success I think I'm going to go Mickelson here beluchi vinka this should be an interesting one beluchi has the qualifying he went through qualifying he's probably got more momentum right now than Stan um despite that I think stance experience and being a former champion probably gives him more value in my eyes but I could very easily see beluchi winning I think I'm going to go stand though Chris o Connell and jari um jari hasn't won since Rome so that should be interesting to see if he can he can get back on track um I am a fan of his game he's got a very powerful game very strong serving i' i' love to see him win again and I think he does I think he will win at least one match here at the US Open okay feast and learn TN Feast I think is gonna have very little problems um I'm not sure again I'm not sure it's tn's time quite yet um maybe sometime in the future munar and Dio is kind of just whatever you prefer honestly um I think I think I I don't I don't really know who I would have winning this it's kind of one of those matches where it's like okay whatever either player could win I'm gonna go munar though purcel vukic probably probably vage for me son go Tommy Paul now that is a tough first match for Tommy Paul um Sonic go coming off a Winston Salem um win right he just he just won Winston Salem beating Mickelson however I think Tommy can get get through it um he's been struggling since the Olympics but still I think I think he'll he'll have no problem maybe lose a set to be fair it could go five but um I think Tommy it'll get through Cy pass konakis C hasn't really ever been very good at the at the US Open I think round three is his furthest that he's ever been um but I don't see him losing to kakas bores Coria I'll take bores School Kate and Taro Daniel that's gonna be Taro Daniel for me minsik and FAA now this one's tough Yak menic had his breakthrough run at US Open last year um right that's where he made a name for himself as a 17-year-old he made it to round three and he's he's started to continue to make a name for himself he's had a couple good runs throughout this year um I think over in was it Dubai he had a good run so this it's a very tough match for Felix and I'm not so sure I I believe in Felix here at the US Open this year I think I'm GNA go with with minsik caboi Duckworth probably should be a caboi win in Straits maybe four zizu vers kotov this is an interesting one it's kind of a toss up probably a four Setter not exactly sure who I would not exactly sure who I have um zizu has been playing pretty well at the majes this year but I think I'm GNA go for kotov Maran medovich I have I I just I kind of have an overwhelming faith with with Maran he's had some difficult results this year but um I think I think he's good enough to beat medovic lovic medf um I I don't see medv losing round one alres Le to again don't see ALR losing round one shappo and V an scope next winner plays alcarez vzan scope just kind of hasn't shown anything since that what was it 2021 US Open run to the quarters um I think shapo can get this one off pull this one off maybe four or five probably four D is a Costa Gast on that mean that's kind of just another one of your preferential ones whichever one you prefer whichever one sounds more right to you at the time I think I I think I go with guest on xien Jang or Jack Draper now this is probably the first round match at least so far far that I'm the most interested in Draper struggled at Majors I don't know if his body's ready to go for five um consistently best best of five has not treated him very well and I don't know if he'll if he's exactly mentally over that Felix Match Point controversial um that controversial point he got called out for that by multiple people right um and triple Z is kind of dangerous I think I'm going to go for an upset here um so xien Jang to round two to be a Goan this is not the Goan of old anymore I'm gonna go with tibio chorge manino Menino's been horrible this year um and to be fair it's not the chorge of old either but uh I still have a little more faith in chorch right now phini and mahot another player who was much better many many years ago um very old section of the draw right here right Goan manino andini um I'm going to go mahaj though M and Corda next and what a summer it's been for Spas cter by the way he deserves his flowers and all the praise in the world um just an incredible incredible summer for him winning Washington he's he did fairly well the the two American Masters or you know American hardcore swing Masters in Canada and ciny um made a Simi at one of them I can't remember which one it was at the time um M should kind of I'd expect him to try to make that kind of a circus of a match um maybe squeaks out a set but I don't see quarter losing to boute demor giron it's kind of a tough one for Alex I don't know how healthy he is and giron's been playing fairly well this year I think I'm still going to go for demor but don't be surprised if on gets the upset there Auto verton and Quinton halis there's not much Insight I could provide for that one honestly um kind of a toss up um let's go with Burton naon altmire does naone really have much experience on hardcourt at the tour level not really I think I'll go almire Dan Evans and hatov maybe Evan squeaks out a set it's two very very different stylistic players um which should be kind of an interesting match to watch um I don't I don't see hatov losing though arnaldi will win and then sauin probably wins that in three maybe maybe four um we'll see though we'll see what Forbes can do leian and Jordan Thompson I kind of view Jordan Thompson as a seed without him actually being a seed I I think of him kind of in like the top 30 range he's that kind of quality of a player who can cause some problems for some some seeds down the line I think um kind of an interesting match up with him in herot round two potentially and that that's what I'm going to do I'm going to have the two of them meet in round two so Tompson beats Ley and herach beats scov rude gets a qual round round one I think he'll get past round one um Mon and schwarzman what a match this would have been a couple years ago um schwartzman's kind of taking a fall from grace he got through qualies which you know kudos to him you know this might be the last slam of Diego schwartzman's career which would be sad and unfortunate of course um but gon F has been on quite a run this summer he just won a UTS he beat alcarez I don't see him losing to schwarzman especially this current state of of of Diego schwarzman um carbus bayana for me there Jerry Shang and bck is interesting though you never know what to expect from Sasha boblet however me personally I'm not expecting a whole lot from him there in in New York this year and Jerry Shang is a very good player has some polishing to do but I think he's good enough to beat bck and maybe make a run here it's a very open section of the draw for him I think a round three maybe even round four is very possible for here this year umber montiero I mean montiero had a pretty good clay season we're not on Clay anymore though I'll go Ugo or Yugo youo un bear um Stricker komasa right we talked about minic earlier one of the youngsters making a big run last year at the US Open Stricker was right there with him Stricker even made round four I think compared to mic's round three uh he's been out for quite a bit this year um I think getting back what at like Wimbledon I still think he'll beat komas but it should be an interesting match as well Ras V venos and and bartini I don't see bartini really having a problem with that he's someone who could make a Deep Run an unseated player could definitely make a big run has had a lot of success at slams before right um runner up to to jokovic Wimbledon a couple years ago um he's made the semi finals here at the US Open a couple of times I think um so watch out for bartini right um someone who could definitely make a run Fritz should probably win that very easy eily I'd imagine straight sets um probably without losing five games um hogar Runa Brandon Nakashima is definitely one I want to watch this is this is a match that could go five and one that I think could be a pretty big upset now Runa just made the simis in Sensei however nakashima's also had a really great summer he's made he made the round of 16 both in Canada and in ciny he's just been playing very well and I think Runa might not be mentally strong enough to face an American crowd against an American at this very moment now he could completely turn he could completely make a fool of I could completely be making a fool of myself right now and he could win straight sets very easily but I think I'm going to give the edge to Nakashima with the American crowd behind him I think this is a five Setter if Nakashima wins and um I think I'm going to go for an Nakashima win here against against Huna Arthur Kazo Pao karinaa kaboa has had a pretty good pretty good comeback um and I think I think I'm gonna go with him over Kazo Kazo had a good Aussie open so that's something to keep in mind but um I think I'm G to go with with kinoa over Kazo nishioka Ketch manovich um I was pretty impressed with Ketch manovich at at Wimbledon against center with his game I think he's a very good player someone who who has a very bright future ahead of him and I think he gets past nishioka for sure um interesting to see what he can do in in New York this year for sure now opela and musetti this is a match that I think is not getting nearly enough credit for what it it's going to be opela big server right he's coming back from from injury and he's had a pretty good comeback from from injury I'd say especially after being out for what two years something something like that M's been the man of the summer right great runs at French Open Wimbledon Olympics right Olympic bronze medalist semis at Wimbledon I think I think opela edges him out though that I'm just I'm kind of getting those kinds of Vibes which I know it's not great analysis of tennis of course but sometimes Vibes speak to you I think I'm going to go oelo selo ofner surenda is somebody who could be upset especially if you're talking seeds um kind of surprised that he's still a seed at this point he hasn't had a fantastic year of course um I think I'm going to stick with him but that should probably be a four set or a five set set against ofner peshy parac card ET very that's a tough one peshy parac card of course had that great run at Wimbledon making fourth round um big big server definitely definitely great on grass right big sures are always you know a must on grass if you want to do well um or at least you know if you're not the top cream of the crop having a great serve will help you go further in grass and it'll help on hard but not as much as on grass etra is still very very good and you know he's he's been seated the last couple of of slams I you know I guess he hasn't been doing as great as of recently but he's made deep runs and slams before of course that was at rolling garos on the clay I still think I'm going to go atra though I'm gonna go Mueller over Walton not not exactly sure what to make of that match ver should have no problem with marterer rublev Sab of V now remember they played in Australia at the Australian Open it went to five Sabo the VCH is not an easy opponent he beat meddev you know what was it last year at the French Open he's not someone you want to see play be like on the other side of the net um at round one of hislam I think I'm gonna go Ru I don't think it'll go five but that should be an interesting match Eubanks render NES you know eubank's season has kind of been disappointing I was expecting a little more out of him I think I'll I think he can get past render NES but that should be an interesting one I'll go ginier over Krueger leka fuvi is a pretty interesting match um fuvi has been known to play very very well against seeds at slams um I think he took out Corda at the US Open last year when Corda was you know he had quite a bit of hype around him last year I remember going into Wimbledon last year he was considered one of the one of the favorites especially with it being on grass um but anyway leet is coming back from injury remember he he didn't play between Madrid and Cincinnati I think I don't think he played Canada so I think it was between Madrid and ciny uh he beat medev in Cincinnati though I think leka is fine and I think he'll get past I think he'll get past fich bz darder could be one to watch I think Bas gets the job done maybe in four Nal and Greek Spore Greek sp's probably very very happy he's not drawing center right now um he seem it's like he drew Center for like five straight tournaments is something crazy he was he kept getting on Center side of the draw like second third round something insane for a very long time um I think Greeks sport gets past Nal faka should should get past hijikata and demitro should win his injury status could be something to watch out for though um but yeah I'm G to pick Gregor to win Shelton should really have no trouble with Team um very set and for for Dominic team's career honestly you know things were looking so so bright for so long for for Dommy um he got that win at the 2020 US Open things have kind of been going downhill for him since then we we'll see I guess but Shelton I'd imagine will win and I think it'll probably in be straight sets nardy Batista AO it's going to be Luca nardy For Me Maybe um no no I'm going to go Batista go best of five shevchenko or kept for chevchenko had a really good hardcore swing early in the year um performed well at at Mont piler I think and even I think he beat Runa a couple of times at the beginning of the year on hard um I think I prefer him over keper but that that is another interesting you know match between not two two people that probably won't go very far but if you're looking for round one excitement that could be a good match for it chevchenko keper I think I'll go chenko katovich tiao tifo made the final of ciny he loves the US Open I don't see TFA losing now we've got the canidate champion Alexi poin plays Quan poin was one of those seeds going in where I was thinking okay it's going to depend heavily on his draw but that might be someone who who's on upset alert his draw looks pretty well or looks pretty good at least first two rounds right I don't see him having a problem with Quan and then next round against Pedro Martinez or a qualifier let's go for the quali let's have some fun go for the quali jera and stru is an interesting one was it was it jera who who pushed jokovic to five last year am I remembering that correctly at the US Open of course um I think I'm going to go stru but another very interesting match um I don't see either of them beating jokovic in the next round though um which I guess it's spoiler alert for my round two jovic match prediction all right back up to the top round two CER Mickelson I don't see melson giving Yanik much problem maybe maybe a set um but sit should get past him jari vinka again jari hasn't won since Rome does he win two times in a row at the US Open maybe a bit pushing it but like I think he should be better off like I think he got a favorable draw one that he can win right oconnell first round shouldn't be too much trouble and then St round two of a slam at this point of his career kind of pushing it jar should win but honestly I think I'm gonna go Stan I don't know how much faith I have in jari and it I'm like yeah let's go Stan stand to be jar Feast I think should get past munar Tommy should get past vukic I do think Cy pass will get past borest and tie his career best at the US Open round three I'm pretty sure he's right that would be his best um so yeah sitti mik Daniel I don't I don't think Daniel's gonna beat mik kabo kov is kind of interesting kabo has been playing very well recently um do I think kov could give him some trouble sure but it's probably three or four for caboi I don't see Maran really bothering medev honestly he just hasn't been playing as well recently and to be fair Med hasn't been playing his best recently his s's kind of been worrisome I think he gets past Maran though I don't see shabo really causing much problem for alrez and then jiin Jang is going to would probably be guessed on if that were happen um again that might not happen Draper Draper May perform better than I expect him to but if if this were to happen I would pick triple Z to beat gastone tobio borner chich I am kind of a tobio fan to be fair um I like I like his game and I think typically predict him to go further than than he does and than I should but I don't think George troubles him here now mahot court is very interesting mahaj has not been playing incredibly well however Corda doesn't play extremely great at slams mahot could give him some trouble that's one I would watch for sure um I think I'll pick quarter to beat to beat mahot but again very interesting demon I think will beat uto verton again I'm not exactly sure how he's how is injury is going to treat him at the US Open again something to keep keep an eye on keep in your keep in the back of your mind um I think I'm going to pick him to beat verton well yeah I'm going to pick him to beat verton I feel pretty confident about him making round three but he could be upset round one or round two I could definitely see it altm hatchin off I'll go hatchin off and I'll beat Arn will beat sefu then um Thompson her catch is is interesting huie doesn't really lose to people that he should beat he should beat Thompson Thompson is somebody he should beat and he's been very good this year against people ranked lower than him he hasn't really had a bad loss on the year um maybe you can say the feast match the feast loss was bad again he got injured the feast lost at Wimbledon by the way um he lost to tifo and ciny I think tifo made the final and pretty sure he lost to poin in Canada again poin won Canada so um he's he's been losing to to worse and worse opponents recently H might come back to that later but I think I've got a her College rude monf is interesting again monf has been playing extremely well recently he beat alcarez he won that UTS do I think he beats Casper Roode at the US Open that I'm not sure he does now I I love to pick upset picks and I do love be some gilon fees right everybody does um everybody wants to see him make a big run he's he's such a fun player to watch Casper rude is a former finalist I think he'll Buckle in for the US Open if this is Wimbledon I prob probably like M just because it's grass but it's it's not it's not Wimbledon it's the US Open I'll go Casper Jerry I think has no problem with carb bayana I'm bear should get past Stricker if Stricker was playing the whole year maybe we have a better idea of how how good he is going into this maybe he's going in better and that could be an upset pick but I've got to go with with the person who's proven himself um who who's earned this seed right I don't think Stricker beats on bear Fritz bartini is very interesting and that's a match where a lot of people are picking upsets picking Bari to win obviously with that being the upset a very popular Dark Horse or um unseated player can make a long run I think Taylor's going to walk in for the US Open he played so so well at the US Open last year and I think he's hungry to to get keep to keep doing that go back to doing that I'm gonna pick Taylor um Nakashima Karo boost up very interesting one nakashima's form again is pretty good right round round of 16 at both both Masters in Canada and ciny I think I think I'll pick Nakashima to keep going I think that's the end of the road for opela for opela um I don't know if he's fit enough to go round three in Islam um to win multiple best of five matches in a row so catch on ofage it is so rund I I don't really have a ton of faith in sandalo anymore I think atber will win is ver should beat Mueller Ru Eubanks could be interesting I think rubl wins though leka beats grer um Greeks SP over Bas Bas is kind of seated a little high if you ask me like I know it's ATV rankings of course his ranking is higher than than what at least I would think of him at um yeah and I think greeksport greeksport is going to be biting at the opportunity he has it's a um pretty good draw for him faka diov this is one to watch faka kind of bottles matches and slams he kind of does there's no way getting around that right remember what he did at Wimbledon last year underarm serve and a crucial point in the tie break the super tie break against Runa I think lost that it was a match he should have won de's got injury problems I think I'm gonna go grigor it could be one to watch though Shelton should be fine against Batista goo TIAA chevchenko again shevchenko had a good start to the year on hard um I think I'm going to go Tifa though recency bias maybe American bias Maybe Tifa is just so good at the at the US Open poar and should be the quality and jokovic beat truth like I said earlier round three Center will beat Stan that's the end for Stan Feast Tommy is interesting Tommy's form has not been great if if I'm not going off of any form and I'm just picking who I think would win based on who's the better player I'm picking Tommy Paul Arthur Feast though I like his his potential I like the way he plays um like it it would be a very interesting match to um right he he lost to Nakashima in inin he didn't play well in Canada so I think I'm gonna go Tommy just because they neither of them are playing very great right now and I think Tommy is just the better player Cy pass menik remember mensik made round three last year at the US Open I think he has improved as a player since then um and czu pass has struggled in the past at the US Open very much so this would tie his his um furthest ront at the US Open I'm gonna go menik actually over tisas kabo medv I don't see kabo beating medv even if medv is having more problems than usual he's too good of a player especially at the US Open to to go out pre quarters honestly especially pre- round four alz xiin Jang I think this is the end for triple z um he's a he's a great player I don't see him beating Carlos maybe getting a set off of him but probably not beating Carlos to be quter again quter has been playing great recently and I think that's that's very very important um so yeah I'm going to go quter to beat too demon hatov two players that I honestly don't have a ton of faith in making it to round four um so of course one of them is going to make it to round four in this and they Pro probably but neither of them will make it to this this matchup right here um demon hainov Demon's the better player especially right now but I think injury might catch up to him and I think he'll go hatov arnaldi her catch again with injury catching up to somebody herat has been losing to players of Arnold's quality right he lost to to tifo to poin both of them are around the same ranking as arnoldi currently her couch is also dealing with injury problems um arnaldi also made a r made a run at um at the US Open last year it's an interesting one and I think I'll go huie but again should be an interesting one I might go arnaldi actually yeah let's go with arnaldi no yuie Casper or Jerry Shang I don't see Casper losing good run from Jerry Shang I don't see him as a round of 16 and a slam guy yet do I think he gets there definitely um I think he's very good talent someone who who you know you got to look out for in the future but for now Casper's goingon to beat him youo unar Taylor Fritz Again Taylor Taylor is he played so well at the US Open last year before playing Novak I think I think he'll be fine against D bear Nakashima catch manovic wow that would be an interesting round three again Nakashima on recent form has been pretty good but I think at this point he's played quite a few sets maybe Ketch manovich goes through a little easier his he's a little more rested I think I'm going to go Nakashima though he's just been playing so well recently I win over Runa might you know boost his confidence that much more um see yeah Nakashima to round four strangely enough ver over etra very um yeah I don't I don't see atra very beating leka rublev Ru played very well at both Cincy and in Canada he lost to Center at both of them I like leeta's game and I don't know if rublev I think it'll frustrate rublev because this is a match he should win and this is a match that leka very easily could win and cause some problem for ruv um I think I'm gonna go leka over ruv could be very interesting could be a very interesting match could be completely wrong in rub wins and Straits very very possible but for some reason I think Le could be rbl Greeks spor diov uh I like greeksport and again injury problems like injury concerns are like something to take into take into series consideration and I'm going to take him into consideration here I I think I think greeksport wins Shelton tiao rematch of the quarterfinal last year where Shelton Shelton beat TFO and I think tifo Wants Revenge he loves the US Open he's made that very very clear and he's played extremely well there semifinal in 22 quarterfinal in 23 three I think we get a tifo win over Shelton poer and jokovic for the third slam this year wow Aussie Wimbledon and now the US Open I don't see the result being any different than it has in the past um but with the new found Confidence from the Canada win poin could make some could give jovic some problems I do think jokovic does win though round four again I'm not super confident Tommy even gets to round four could he cause some problems for yanuk maybe he's caused a ton of problems for for alres in recent memory but yanuk and Carlos are very different players I think yut gets fast tell me men medv I don't really see menic beating medv maybe a set it could honestly go five with the way me has been playing and M have drops sets that he really just shouldn't to players he shouldn't right Terence Atman comes to mind in the Australian Open last uh not last year but earlier this year um I think meev wins he just he's so good at the US Open so extremely and crazily good um really it on all hard courts he's just very good um I think that beats M but in the future I think meni can go further than round four right I think he he's potential slam winner in the future I don't think now is his time Alaris quarter is one to watch if that were to happen quarter doesn't seem to be afraid of the top players he's very good against top players in best of five though I don't see him beating Carlos agarz if it's best of three maybe you pick that as an upset and that that could be a very very possible upset if it's best of three it's best of five though I think alres wins hatch off herat huie again like I don't want him you know going into this I didn't think I would have huie harcat going to the quarter finals the way the draw has set up for him though I don't see him not making it with him injury is much less important than it is for demor because he can still go out and serve and hit Aces demon or's game is again is much more like running chasing down every ball I think he gets past demor and I just think he's too good for hatov honestly hatov has been extremely good at Majors before he's made semi-finals here at the US Open actually he made simmies at the Australian Open um what was it 22 or 23 one of them um but yeah I think huie makes the quarters I guess in this case Casper brood Taylor Fritz give me Taylor Fritz again he he's been very good he was very good at the US Open I think he's hungry to win to win the US Open of course do I think he does that probably probably not but he's hungry he wants to do well at the US Open so Taylor Fritz beats Casper Roode um again he was so so dominant the US Open last year that like Novak seemed to be like the only person that was going to get in his way and you know if we're basing it off of last year I don't see Taylor losing to caser and um I think it could be a tough one for sure a tough match for sure it's probably a five Setter at least four I don't see being straight sets probably four sets maybe five Taylor Wins though Nakashima I think that's the end for Brandon Nakashima maybe gets a set off of Zev um but yeah Zev wins leka Greek Spore leka I think um again coming off of injury he's had so so long off he did beat meddev he beat meddev I I'm putting a lot of weight on that I think maybe more than I should but that's impressive nonetheless um I think it should be considered when you're talking about latch's odds of winning his matches at the US Open because of mv's ability on Hardcore he's one of if not the best hardcore player in the world um he's one of the best hardcore players in the world I don't know if he's the best anymore but that's something that holds a lot of we to me at least so I think I'll go leka over Greek Spore and again he was playing so good at Madrid before he got injured he probably would have won I think he he would beat VW blev um so yeah I I think I think hka is a very good player has a bright future ahead of him and I think he's going to make a quarterfinals here and then tifo jokovic now remember on his semi-final run at the US Open in 2022 TFO did beat Rafael Nadal can he beat another member of The Big Three to make another semi-final run at the US Open I don't see it against jokovic I think jokovic wins quarterfinal time Center medv yonic Center yeah um medev just hasn't been playing like denil meddev recently um his serve is not doing great I think Center can definitely exploit some weak the weaknesses in his game now let's be real denil Med's weaknesses are very few and in between I still think Yann could do enough to exploit them as best as humanly possible uh alcarez herat look I know what it's going to look like I was talking all about how US Open Super unpredictable and now I'm picking the the top seats to to do well to do the best at the US Open the top four are kind of very far ahead of everybody else you got top four like in the League of Their Own medvid have like kind of a big gap between medv and the top four and then an even bigger gap between medv and the rest of of the field so I do think alris beats her catch again not exactly sure her catch gets to the quarters his draw kind of just opened up for him kind of a good draw for him um but yeah I don't see him beating alcarez Fritz ver um look I've been talking about Fritz doing extremely well until he ran into Novak at the US Open last year and I think he's going to run into Novak again I think he beats s verev h it would be one to watch for sure it would be a very interesting match to two pretty big guys two tall guys um pretty good servers right um like I know ZB has this kind of connotation around him you know that people like oh he's not a super great server that kind of needs to die off now he's he's fixed his his tosses on his second on a second serve um that should be a very interesting match Fritz verev um Taylor makes it to his his first Simi I guess in the in in the majors which he should have made in Wimbledon in 2022 couldn't beat off a couldn't beat Nadal who tore his abdomen um who and then he would have played curios and the semis could have made a final revisionist history maybe still kind of still kind of painful nonetheless jokovic leka I don't think Yuri leka beats Novak jokovic um yeah Novak's gonna win simy Yanik vers Carlos alcarez is the match of the tournament now remember 2022 when Carlos won the US Open the two of them met and played one of the match one of the best matches I've seen honestly I've very very good match very quality tennis match
